Linda, your gas prices are always higher. But your gas tax is about what our is. Why? How is Bob doing today? You seem to have a good selection of soft foods for menus. Good luck controlling your intake of them. Your eggplant and tomatoes should do well because they are heat loving. What tomatoes did you get? I don't know how you scrubbed floors on your knees. I have a Norwex mop and if that doesn't take care of it, forget about it! Dale occasionally will seal our stone floor in the kitchen on his knees, but his knees are in better shape than mine. Enjoy your clean house with clean towels and rugs and a cleaned out fridge.
Your garden sounds good, Denise. I have several varieties of tomato (cherry, sauce, and slicers), plus eggplant, a couple varieties of peppers (bell and mild jalapeno--or so they say), kale, and red cabbage plants. I also have 3 different bush beans I will plant from seed. I also have marigolds and cosmos, but my zinnias from seed aren't doing very well, so I may not have many of those. I am mostly straw bale gardening and got my straw bales last week. So I'm about halfway to being able to plant those. Have you ever tried it? Really helps that I don't have to be on my knees or bending over much.
Becky, has the heat caught up with you yet? I would guess most of your gasoline comes either from the Gulf or West Texas. The station I stopped at on Tuesday was the same price it had been but they had no gas, which was probably why they didn't raise the price. The station closest to the house (where we rarely stop due to the price) was up 30¢ from Tuesday, so I don't know if that's legit or price gouging. Should be an interesting visit to AL, and DB is still a hardcore Trumpster clear down to his flag and MAGA hat. We haven't discussed the insurrection yet and I don't plan to bring it up. DSIL and I have things planned that he and the kids will be along for, so hopefully Fox News watching will be minimal. I can't understand why people are saying Cheney and Romney are voting with the Dems. In fact, Cheney voted with Trump 93% of the time and Romney 75%. Stefanik, who McCarthy and company are pushing to take over Cheney's leadership position, is just barely over Romney at 77.7%. Cheney's problem isn't with policies but over his actions on January 6th. But I agree that if this is what the party wants to be, she's not the best person for the role.
Did you have another cold morning, Chele? It was low 40s here, so I'm glad I still don't have plants set out. Did your Burpees stuff arrive yet? Have you heard anything lately from DNs and their families? Any get togethers planned? How are DB and his family doing in Oregon?
Kathy, has DN started his job yet or just completed orientation? I think I saw on the a.m. news that you are expecting some cool weather today. Is that due to rain? Is tomorrow a grocery day? Are you going to venture out to the supermarket or continue to do the delivery method? I heard today there is a new Earth Fare open in Orlando on West Gore Street. Is that anywhere near you?
How are the pups and Gary doing. Liz? Is Wally getting better and is Zoe staying away from him?
I had a new high on the Osteo leg machine today. One of the other machines wasn't set up right and I didn't figure out why until I got home. I'll have to check on that next week. But the leg machine has been a problem, so I'm happy. I have increased my strength 64% since I started there in 2018. Gym wasn't too crowded but Walgreens was really low on a lot of items we needed, so that was disappointing. I don't know if it may have been related to the gas shortage because I did see a lot of gas stations on my trip today that had no gasoline. That is supposed to be easing up by the weekend. I was really glad I gassed up on Tuesday. It's Arya's dinner time so I better scoot.

Thanks for the start, Karen. Congrats on Osteo leg machine. Becky, I am glad your DN is doing better. Linda, so Bob is recovering well from dental work other than eating soft food? Kathy, that’s great DN will be face to face (mask to mask?) with people. moonriver, Denise we are doing well. We have had a couple of frosts this month but Iggy planted the veggies, zinnias and geraniums anyway. Good luck with hour garden. Liz, how are things in your world? How did Gary do yesterday? How is Zoe? The plants (cherry tomatoes, Black Krim, Super Steak, Madame Marmand, Pink Brandywine To,atoes, Sweet Thing Hot Pepper,Black Beauty Eggplant) arrived yesterday and were planted. We are still waiting for the herbs. We planted parsley, Armenian cucumbers and Roma Bush Beans from seed. Did you see that CDC has said fully vaccinated people may go maskless indoor and out? How is anyone supposed to know who is vaccinated? I’ll keep my mask on indoors for awhile. Ohio is lifting all mandates on June 2. Did you hear about Dewine’s Vax-a-Million Ohio lottery? Starting May 26 one vaccinated person’s name will be drawn for 5 weeks to win a million dollars. This is to encourage the unvaccinated to get a shot. One young person, age 12-17, and vaccinated will win a 4 year scholarship plus room and board and books at a state university. We are living through some crazy times. I wish I could read the history books in 50 years time to see whose version of history got recorded.

Thanks for the start Karen. No heat here yet. We are in the mostly cloudy mode and the high was 75. We will get in the 80's and starting Saturday we have a chance of rain for a week. I hope they are right for once. The Republicans are upset with Cheney and Romney because they voted for Trump to get impeached not because they side with the Dems so often. I am not crazy about Stefanik and there is a representative from TX Chip Roy that is wanting to put his name in the hat but I really don't like him.
Chele I heard about OH and their lottery. They shouldn't have to bribe people to get vaccinated. Students in TX do not have to be vaccinated before going back to school.

Karen, DN started the job on Monday. A front came through yesterday with some rain and the cooler temps. It was really overcast today, but I don't think we got much more rain. We'll probably do a combination with the grocery shopping. We paid for a year of Instacart, so I'll have to look at when that expires. We didn't do it right away since we didn't think this whole thing was going to last this long. It's already paid for itself since we don't have to pay delivery or service fees. That Earth Fare looks nice, but it's about 20 miles from here. Congrats on the new Osteo record!
Chele, I guess DN may actually be face to face with people soon. I'm not sure how places will handle the question of whether or not someone is vaccinated though and of course our governor won't let that be a criteria for entering anywhere. I saw where one of the cruise ship lines is pulling out of Florida. I heard about the lottery. Are you eligible if you're already vaccinated? It would be really interesting to see how history records the past few years.
Linda, nice to have your house cleaned all at once! I've wondered on the ulterior motives on that audit too.

I understand Linda. I think it's ridiculous and I hope you don't have identity theft from it.
