This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning.
Susie I love hearing about your LLI classes. I might look into them. Of course, I am not in Chesterfield anymore. I can't remember is it a county thing? Are you exercising inside or out today. The high today is supposed to be 69. What happened to our warm weather???
Janet I am so sorry you continue to have problems with your non-partner. Hopefully next year you will get someone who is a bit easier to work with.
I am WFH because they are paving the parking lot at work. I struggle to work here because Dad feels like I am his personal servant when I am here. (it feels that way to me) I won't go back into the office until Wednesday of next week now. Hopefully they will have the parking lot done then.
My DS is supposed to come back this weekend so R and I can have a night out Saturday night. We really need to get away. We do have a weekend trip planned for Memorial Day weekend and I am really looking forward to that.
Waving to everyone - have a great Friday EVE

Jarmstrong, Thank you for directing me to the correct thread. I went back and looked at some old posts, just to see what this thread was about. Jarmstrong,I hope it's OK if I say something but have you had your dad checked for a UTI? I don't know your story but my mother in law had a UTI and passed from it being Septic and my mother is now dealing with long term consequences of one going septic. With both ladies the first sign was some mild dementia we thought was just old age or sundowners. Apparently when people age they don't feel the pain of UTI's instead them have behavioral changes and dementia. Most people don't connect the two unless it's two late. After loosing one mom to this and almost loosing the second it's become my little soapbox. I hope I didn't overstep boundaries. Thanks

Hi H Peterson....my mother also had UTIs when she was in her 80s and exhibited dementia issues....my DS and I now know that this can happen so we are cognizant of the possibility. I think Jana's DF has had a UTI so she probably knows this also, but thank you for the input! Please joing us anytime...can we call you something other than hpeterson?

Well Dang It! a hundred times. I just had a whole post almost completed and the whole stinking thing just poofed! So, let's try this again. I've been busy today. I made a quick run to my little local grocery for a few things that it's better to get there than it would have been to get on the Costco run. I'm working a little here and there on a new painting, I'm on my 2nd load of laundry, I made 2 batches of my dishwasher & toilet cleaning tabs and now my 2nd time trying to post this. Haha Tomorrow is Mark's 1/2 day of work, so we're planning a hike when he wraps things up. YAY! Our weather has been so beautiful the last couple of days, even if it is a little cool. But I'm not going to complain at all for the cooler weather while hiking - that's kind of a blessing actually. Jana - Nope, no kayaks. The warehouse/distribution center (whatever they call it) is waiting for a restock from the manufacturer. So once that happens, then the freight company will pick them up and get them here. It could be 2-3 weeks, apparently. Maybe sooner, but no promises. Oh well, I suppose it will be better when the weather has a chance to get a little warmer anyway. No since in taking a really cold accidental dip in the lake if I don't have to. Lol. Not that I plan on flipping it, but I'm sure it will probably happen at some point. I was glad to see that your DS will be coming back. Any kind of break that you can get will be a blessing, I'm sure. Susie - Lady! It totally sounds like you're pretty much back to being Susie Go-Go-Go. Lol. H.P. - Welcome! We're here everyday, please feel free to join us on a regular basis. Some of us have known each other for a looooooooong time, others are newer to our little group. This group post originally started way back when the WW message boards were actually part of the WW website. Lol. Well, I guess I'm going to let that be it for now. It time to shift the laundry.

Hello everyone,
Just stopping for a minute to say hi! One of the doctors is off this afternoon, so I was able to catch up on my phone calls and paperwork, and now I have time to get on here. It has been very busy, and we are still short staffed, so the stress goes on! HA!
Jana, sorry your dad is still having such a tough time. Meds could definitely affect him mentally, and if he is drinking a little with it, that could add to the confusion. I do hope you get a chance to have some time to yourself with DH!
Lora, I hope your painting turns out the way you want it to. Hopefully those kayaks will make it to your house relatively soon. Good thing you went on and ordered them!
Susie, some of our gas stations had some pumps out of gas. I don't know why people went into full panic mode, but if the greedy gas hoarders would just simmer down, there wouldn't be a problem. Why do they do that!? It will get back to normal now that the problem was fixed.
Janet, again, I wish you had a better partner! I hope your relatives are safe. Are they near the region where the fighting is?
Jill, hope your day has been a good one. The weekend is almost here!
I am going to try and sneak out of here just a few minutes early. I have some stops to make on the way home. I'm so happy that I will be off this weekend, and can get more done. I have put a lot of my garden work on hold with these cold nights! The days are perfect in the low 70's, but the nights are really chilly. I hope everyone has a good evening, and I will be back tomorrow. Take care,
RobinMD

Hey RobinMD - So sorry you're still having to deal with the short staffing. It makes it so hard when everyone has to do more than their fair share. They're having serious issues in town with the gas situation. Apparently most of the gas stations have run out of gas because everyone was topping off and filling gas cans, old gallon milk jugs, etc. The panic and hoarding mentality was unreal. Anyway, I'm proud to be able to say that when I went to my little grocery store this morning, the gas station next door was still pumping. Out of 8 pumps, only 2 were in use (no lining up around the block here) - but none appeared to be out of service. I think that may be a benefit to living in a very rural/agricultural area. These farm folks are pretty laid back and rarely prone to panic over anything. Lol. My truck has 3/4 of a tank, so I'm fine for the next 300+ miles. Mark is below half a tank, so on the way back from our hike tomorrow, we'll fill his SUV and the gas can for the John Deere, which I drained last Friday when I mowed. Once we have that, we'll be in okay shape until things return to normal since he only has to work at the office every other Friday now.

Hi Everyone, Welcome H.P.! I asked my director if I could work from home tommorow and do my virtual classes at home. We have a training from 1-4 pm anyway and normally on Fridays when I dont have extended care I usually leave after my last virtual class. It takes me almost an hour to get home so it would be less rushed and have time to eat something before the training. I have to get my laptop and my tablet charged to make sure I have enough power to get through my morning and the afternoon classes. I was debating about not staying home for that reason but decided I just wanted to stay home with Cassie. I called my sister this morning before I left for work. She said they were fine but she couldnt talk right then. She said she will call me tommorow. I have plans with a friend for lunch on Saturday. I need to confirm to see if we are still doing it. Other than that the usual stuff. Robin Md, glad you will have some time off after your stressful week. Have a restful night!

Heading to bed...night all...
