How horrible what that poor woman and family has to endure over a DUI. Stuff like that shouldn't happen. Unfortunately it does and seems to be getting worse.
I am enjoying a laid back day. Took one very short walk. Just can't seem to find my energy.

Glad you are enjoying a pleasant day June. LOL on the fire pit vs. a fire pit. Bee - I'm so very sorry for your loss. Audrey - Sounds like a fairly laid back day. That's horrible about your groomer. Ann - Sounds like a wonderful evening with friends. Glad your new family member was a hit. Hopefully you will just need some over the counter drops. MJ - Are you actively looking for more work to do? :-) The gym offered a summer special from May 1 to Labor Day. It's unlimited spin and guest passes. So Carol will join me on some weekends to use the pool. I fed the ferals, walked Lily, took a virtual workshop and then Carol and I headed to the gym. I Went to both Walmart and Lowes looking for plants. I was able to find all my tomatoes except for the Golden Jubilee (and they are now planted) but other veggies and herbs were sadly lacking. There is a garden center next to my cousin's horse farm so I will check that out tomorrow before trying again and hitting my local garden center. I offered to make risotto for my dad's cousin that we are also visiting tomorrow so I will actually make it for Carol and me for dinner tonight as well. I'll pair it with grilled chicken breast and French green beans. I'm just taking a break for a few minutes outside. Lily has enjoyed playing outside for several hours.

Susi hopefully you will find the others to plant at the garden center near your cousin's horse farm. Your meal sounds delish. Enjoy. I love French green beans. That's a great deal at the gym. Nice that Carol will take advantage and go with you.
Well I finally got another short walk in. This weather is strange....sun is in and out and at times there is a brisk wind. It actually felt good on the way home as it was too sunny and hot walking.
I am hungry and the smell of the smoked oven stuffer roaster is making me smile. Can't wait till it's done.

MJ I'm glad your trip to the dumpster went well and that you had help. I hope YM went well today.
Ann I'm glad you all had a great time last night and Mr B was a hit. I can't imagine wearing a sweater in May. Benji would be a cute name. Scooter has so many nicknames we have given her over the years. I hope your vet can give you something for the eye.
June Yesterday we did get everything for the weekend. My foot seems to be healed. I still have tight leg problems but not as badly as before. R does like his fire pits. We have sand out here and it all gets tracked in also.
Bee I'm so sorry about your friend's daughter. Prayers for your friend and you.
Audrey How horrible about your dog groomer's house.
Susi Wonderful that Carol can join you at the gym. Enjoy your visit tomorrow.
I took my 2 mile walk this morning and we went to our local nursery but the weather is iffy for the next few days I decided not to buy anything else. Thank goodness a neighbor was able to repair our lawnmower and Kenneth was able to get the inside and outside of the yard mowed. It was past needing it.

Becky thanks. I'm sure she will recommend something if she feels he needs it. Maybe I'm just over cautious. I tend to get that way LOL.
Happy that Kenneth was able to get he lawn mowed and you got your walking in.
I'm beat for some reason. I did take another walk but it was a short one.

We've made it to Pensacola beach and it is just beautiful. Ft. Pickens Gulf Islands National seashore later in the week to see the Blue Angels. I enjoyed Montgomery Ala much more than I thought I would. We toured the Hank Wms museum and memorial where he and his wife Audrey are buried as well as saw so many beautiful historic buildings(such as Union Station) in the downtown area. Lots of music venues, bands playing, etc. Very cool place.
Bee, I am so sorry about your friends daughter. I know you can relate to what she is going through. ((((HUGS)))) and prayers.
Ann, I hope you can get info On Benjamin's eye.
SUsi, I bet your dad's cousin will enjoy the risotto what a treat!

Mj, enjoy the bday party.
Audrey, how awful about your groomer's house. wow!
