This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning everyone! I hope Saturday is treating you kindly. I really thought I'd posted yesterday, I know I typed up a post. Haha. Maybe it auto-poofed or maybe I just got squirreled and never uploaded it? Who knows?! But anyway, I'm here now. Yesterday was a good day. It was Mark's half day, so around noon we headed off to hit the trails. We had a lovely hike. In the sunny spots it was warm but not hot and in the shady spots it was cool but not cold. On one section at the beginning of the trail, it runs along the side of a creek for about a 1/2 mile or so. That entire area was thick with blooming honeysuckle and the smell was incredible. It was so sweet and fresh smelling, it almost didn't seem real. I kind of thought I was imagining how great it smelled and then DH remarked on how amazing the smell was. Pheeww! Not my imagination after all. Haha After the hike we came home and had an early supper (grilled ribeye steaks and salad) and watched the 2 semi-final games of the SEC Women's Softball Tournament. The final game is today, and our team is in it so we'll be watching that one as well and cheering our girls on. We were able to easily get gas for the SUV and the mower yesterday at our little local spot. It appeared that they were out of mid-grade and premium, was were still in good shape on Regular and Diesel - probably what most people around here are getting anyway. Jana - I hope x100 that your sister was able to make it in, or that DS is up to the challenge. I know the Saturday plans are important for you and I really want you to be able to go out and relax your body and you brain a bit. Whispering some prayers for your dad that the no drinking sticks. Heather - we're glad you're here. RobinMD - Oh lady! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to spend some time doing whatever it is that you want to do. Susie - Woot! Woot! Good wishes for your WI and continued free status. I have to be honest, I'm not even sure what WW has been doing over the last year regarding official WIs with all of the shut downs. Especially since every state seemed to be doing their own thing as far as what's closed, what's open, what services are allowed, etc. Janet - Glad to hear the training went well. And great news that your family in Israel is safe. That must be so scary for all involved. Jill - I loved the story of how your kids were interacting with their reading and projects. What a great way to foster thoughtful learning. Are you and DH having date day today? What fun and/or delicious place will you be visiting today? Well, I suppose that's about it for now. No real plans here for today, or at least nothing firm yet. I'll pop back by later. I hope everybody has a wonderful Saturday.

Good morning! Lora, your hike sounds amazing! I love hiking along creeks or rivers. The honeysuckle sounds lovely. Your steak and salad sounds delicious, as always! We live out in the country too... sort of, and was able to get gas. But stations are out here-and-there towards the city. Jana, I hope your get-away works out. Glad you were able to get a personal day yesterday... nice! That is fantastic about Pops with the improvement with drinking, that really is progress. RobinMD, that truly is wonderful that you have the weekend off! Will you be opening the pool this weekend? Thank you for your service with the vaccinations. Janet, it's nice you were able to work with Cassie at your side. Wouldn't she make the best partner at work!!! Sounds like she'd be super dependable and supportive. I am sorry about your nephew in Israel, that sounds a bit scary. Heather, welcome! I am pretty new to this amazing group (almost a year). I am also a teacher, but I teach elementary. My daughter works with autistic children through behavior therapy. My YDS and his girlfriend are visiting this weekend. So, I am making chocolate chip cookies (the dough is in the fridge chilling right now). Have you ever put cornstarch in cookies? I did a bit of research on it, and decided to add a teaspoon to the flour mixture, we'll see how they turn out??? Tomorrow we are having breakfast with GF's parents who are also in town. Turns out GF's brother is moving here for his Dr. residency. So they are all moving him in this weekend. I am a bit nervous to meet her parents, but we text all the time, so at least I know a bit about her. I am nervous because I am so laid back, and she seems a bit formal. So I hope I don't embarrass anyone. lol We are going out with them tomorrow, so that means not having our big date today. We'll probably go to Bojangles for some chicken, though, which DH LOVES. I am headed to the gym here in a bit. Waving hi to everyone!! I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!

Good morning!
It is absolutely gorgeous this morning. I am going to make a trip to the farm stand this morning, and possibly run over to Shepherdstown and go to a really great nursery there. I need to get mulch and garden soil, and it is much cheaper there. They also have a great selection of plants to look at. The trick is not spending too much money! My brother has closed on his farm and his house up in New Hampshire. They'll be moving before the end of the month. It is going to be sad and strange for them to be gone. He REALLY wants me to consider moving up there whenever I am ready to leave this place. I am keeping an open mind, but my DDs have already said they don't particularly want to go north....they are both going on trips to Maine and Vermont next month and will stop to visit my nephew and my brother. They might fall in love with the area! Lora, your hike looked wonderful...I can smell that honeysuckle from here! This is a great time of year for temps, and hopefully the bugs aren't bad yet. I know they aren't as bad on the AT this early in the season. I'm anxiously waiting for your kayaks to arrive, so I can live vicariously through your water adventures! Hope you find something fun to do today..
Janet, I'm glad your family is safe. Hopefully things will settle down before it escalates further.
Well, I'm being a bum so far this morning, but the coffee is delicious and the sun is beaming through the windows, so I will give myself a little more time before I get up and going. I want to get to the farm stand before the city folks get up here! HA! I will be back later....I hope everyone is having a good Saturday,

Jill, we were posting at the same time. I hope the meeting goes well....I got a brief picture in my mind of laid-back meeting formal, and I kind of chuckled at what it would be like! I bet it will be great to meet them. Boo for no date, but Bojangles sounds like a good substitute...serve it in candlelight! I am grateful for all the people who are getting vaccinated and helping to end the pandemic. It is how we stand a chance to not see this virus continuing to run rampant for years to come. And no matter what anyone says, it is not "just like the flu", so with the medical community continuing to do whatever is possible to squelch it, hopefully we will continue to see a decline....
You guys have a great day! RobinMD

Hi Everyone,
Home now and just chilling here with Cassie..had lunch with my friend and then did my food shopping. Plan to chillax tonight and read. Tommorow I plan to go to the gym..My arm may be sore for a day or so after my doctor appointment as I am getting my second shot for the Shingles vaccine on Monday afternoon. She wants me to get a tetanus shot too but I am telling her I will wait a bit longer and do it at a separate appointment. I know that my arm has been sore from that too and I have extended care kids the next day from 12:30-5:00 so no way do I want 2 arms that might be sore. I thought about asking another teacher to switch with me but they probably had their appointments set up already and I had mine all set up so just will deal. Jill, I hope your meeting with your future in laws goes well..yes, Cassie would make a much better partner than my non-partner. I am nodding off so may be back later.

Hello again,
Janet, I sure don't blame you for not getting another shot at the same time! People seem to get such a strong immune response from that one...I hope it won't be too bad, but going to the gym ahead of that is probably a good idea.
I went to the farm stand and got fresh spring lettuce and a cucumber. I also found a few plants and flowers to get into the ground. I didn't get them all planted today, but did get lots of weeding done (that NEVER ends). I'm still deciding on where some of them will go. I still need to get the mulch...they raised the price of their mulches and soils, and I don't need to pay that much. I love supporting my local businesses, but the nursery in Shepherdstown is a local business, too. I think the weather is supposed to be really nice again tomorrow. How great to have 3 days off in a row! I can get more stuff done outside. I might mow again, too. So many options!! HA!
I'm going to go whip something up for dinner. I hope everyone is having a really nice weekend. I'll be back tomorrow...waving to all!
