Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Heading to work soon. Excited to be getting my new car today. I’ll send you a picture later. Should be a good day at work. Allie has been off the past few days, catching up on her school work. She got a couple of huge assignments last minute. She was caught up until then, I told her to bring her laptop to work, she can use bosses office.
As far as the mask mandate goes, since my last vaccine was completed I only have to wear a mask if a customer comes to the cashier desk. Other than that I haven’t worn one in the office and that feels so good. I’ll wear them if a business requires a mask, that won’t bother me, but for the most part I’m glad to be maskless whenever possible. Our governor hasn’t lifted the mandate yet, he likes to be in control. Enough!
Dottie - I’m so glad I can bring anything that needs shredding to work. I just add to the bin that the company picks up monthly.
Martha - sounds like your body really needed a good nights sleep. Hope they will keep you in in work.
Ruth - new couch sounds nice. I don’t have placement options, it goes in front of the window. I did try putting the couch on the wall across from where it is, but it’s in the traffic area and I kept bumping into it.
Enough for now. See ya later.

Joyce, how exciting to get your car today. Will be looking for the picture. I’m just not sure what to expect with the change in mask policy. At least we can drop things to be shredded off at the senior center when it reopens.
Ruth, I think the lifting of the mask mandate came very quickly and without warning. Even though Dr. Fauci said there wasn’t any pressure from the administration I wonder if that is true. It just came too quickly. We will continue to wear masks in stores. We have gone out to eat a few times and will wear a mask into the restaurant but then take it off at our table. I think part of the problem with lifting the mask mandate is that some people who won’t wear masks aren’t vaccinated, for whatever reason. Who is the author you are reading? Nice that DD had the whole series on her kindle.
Martha, hope you are having a good weekend. I’m sure you are prepping foods for the week, you are so good about that.
Early tomorrow morning we head up to DS#1 house for the First Communion of DGS#2. We will wear masks in church but when we get to DSs house we will take them off. Everyone there but the kids have had their vaccinations and there will only be about 15 people there. I made the appetizers that I’m bringing this morning but will need to put them in a cooler for the trip up there. DS#2 will be joining us for the day, it will be nice to see the family all together. Bad news about our garage door. We replaced the battery on the opener when we got home and everything seemed fine till this week. It didn’t always open or close or didn’t even move at times. Bill googled it and apparently the motor is failing. Bill and oldest DS replaced the garage door in 1999 so instead of trying to figure out if it can be fixed Bill went today to buy another opener. DS#2 will help him install it on Monday after DS gets out of work. We figure if we find a place and sell this place we would probably have to replace it anyway. Still nothing new on the market for us to look at but the cleaning and decluttering continues. I spent several hours going thru a bin that had craft supplies in it. I put all the like items together, yarn, ribbon – etc. I only kept a shoe box full of things and have the rest ready to donate.

(((hugs))) Now that I have had both vax shots, I could go maskless is some instances. I won't tho. How do I know that others have been vax? I've heard of people getting covid after getting vax. Better to be safe than sorry.
I was mentioning to DH this morning about my sleep. I write down my cpap numbers in the mornings, at first to see how much #'s had gone down. Today was: 9.9 hrs used / avg. of 2.6 episodes per hr. Since Weds night, I've been getting at least 9.5 hrs of cpap machine use a night. The days prior to that was about 7-7.5 hrs.
Yesterday was not spent in the kitchen. My coworker friend is moving. Since she doesn't drive, I told her I would ask at store about boxes. I was able to snag 6 boxes for her. She was surprised & very grateful. I'll check with her later in week to see if she wants more. Haven't heard from DCousin and didn't think I would.
Soon, I need to head to kitchen. Need to cook chicken thighs for DH lunch. We are out of snack mix. I'll make that in crockpot. It's getting to be too warm to use oven much.
Hope all have a good day! (((HUGS))) m

Martha, I’m with you on continuing to wear the mask when in stores. I feel much safer outside without a mask when walking, so will continue to be mask less for that. Nice that you could help your friend by getting boxes for her. Moving will require a lot – at least that is what Bill and I are discovering.
We got home from DS#1 house around 45 minutes. Long day, but it was a very nice day. At DSs house we spent the whole time on their deck. The kids were busy playing in the yard so it made it easier for the parents to watch them, although the youngest is 4 ½ so they are for the most part independent. We are so full that maybe later we will have a small snack but I’m not planning on making dinner. When we got to DSs house there were appetizers, then around 2 they had pizza delivered and of course dessert. I didn’t sleep good last night so it will be an early night for me. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
