Yes, Happy Christmas Eve to you all. I've been taking a break from posting here, but am still lurking and enjoying . Yesterday was cookie baking day. I consumed five, believe it or not, that is a vast improvement from past years! Now, to get them all out of the house...

Good morning everyone,
Happy Christmas Eve to all of you.
Spending today relaxing. Christmas dinner will be at my sister's house. Gifts are wrapped. Daughter #1 will be here tonight for dinner and spend the night. Daughter #2 cannot come out this year but we are seeing her at her place on Tuesday. Vegas is fun around the holidays.
Well the tracking is working. Today is my 6th day. I have lost 1.3 this week😀😀 feels good to be back in the swing on program.
I have a 12 day break in deco world. The soaking tub is installed and rough plumbing is ready to go. Next step is giving my tile design to decorator to review on January 4th. Will order the tile, frame out niches on the 6th and tile install starts the 10th. I am having so much fun designing. Crazy here. Using toilet and new walk in shower in master. Using sink and cabinet in guest bathroom.
Cabinets are ready! Can't wait to see them. Installing master bathroom ones first. Holding the guest bathroom one until after tile, electrical, drywall repair and paint is done.

Lani: Good work on the cookies.
Marilynn: Great job on the tracking and losing some weight.
Working down my to-do list happy with the progress I'm making. After lunch I'll be making the cranberry sauce for tomorrow.

Thanks Judy. It was my portion sizes that were out of whack. Even healthy food can lead to weight gain. Lol.

Happy Eve to all of you!
Wishing you a wonderful holiday however you and yours celebrate this season.
I have been thinking about how I can use my Beck knowledge to become more mindful both in eating and living. Developing the ability to check thoughts and responses will help to improve how I choose to respond to stress, unplanned eating and cravings. I have learned so much from Beck that this next step seems like a logical one to work on.

When you put the cookies out tonight, remember that they are for Santa and not for you!
One year we went around the office conducting a poll: When you were little, how did Santa get into your house? Chimney? Windows? Front door?
Merry Christmas Eve!

Happy Christmas Eve and Happy Hanukkah as well. I put all of the leftover cookies from yesterday in a container, froze those that were a lot and started the day by dropping off a few to my next door neighbor who is working all day while the bakery while I was doing errands. Our son gave us smoked salmon, coffee beans and bacon plus some rubs yesterday, all of which he made. I had a small portion of salmon this morning and put the bacon in the freezer. He is very talented.
I have to change my pro board password because I cannot get it on my phone. We will be gone Monday and Tuesday to the central coast, staying with the dog at a small bed and breakfast. DH watches football bowl games when we are not out and about and I will read the new WW magazine with Oprah on the cover and The Hillbilly Elegy. So if I don't post, it is because of my issues with the board on the phone. I will still do the FB groups.
When I was little we lived in an apartment building in Southern CA and one of the noisy neighbors yelled out the window Good Bye Santa waking up the entire building. We had no fireplace and windows and doors were shut so Santa must have magically snuck in the front door.

When I was Santa-believing age, we lived in Michigan. No chimney, so my sister and I would leave our bedroom windows cracked open. It would get COLD, but we felt it was a necessary sacrifice to help out Santa.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone. We did not have a chimney either and we never left out cookies b/c my mom's tradition was to open gifts on Christmas Eve which is something I still put into practice with DH.One year I heard Santa(my dad)would come in thru the front door in a different room and then come in when we were little.

We unwrapped presents on Christmas morning so Santa snuck in some way, I guess through the front door. By the time we had a fire place I knew the true secrets of Santa so it didn't matter. My kids always thought Santa came down the fire place and I let them think that.
We had cheese enchiladas for Christmas Eve dinner tonight. Not a tradition but since it was just DH and myself, I fixed what we wanted. I ate 1 and I was satisfied.
DD and family are coming here tomorrow instead of the other way around. I've been busy today setting the table with my china and crystal. DH thinks it's too much trouble but I love seeing everything out. We don't use it enough so I'm glad to get it out.
Merry Christmas all!
