Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Remembering those who gave their lives so that we can be free ...
Enjoyed the day with DB and DSIL yesterday. We had hotdogs and beef sliders, potato salad, baked beans, chips, beer and wine. Still stuffed this morning. I ended up baking an 8” marble cake instead of cookies for dessert. It was a good choice. DB took Lucy for a short drive. He liked the way she handled.
Today I work from 1-5. Should be a slower day since only sales is open. There is still scanning to do, so I’ll have something to pass the time.
No CBing this morning. I’m going to do my monthly budget, need to change amounts that will be deducted for car and insurance. Not a major change thankfully. And I’ll do some meal planning for the week. Chicken will definitely be on the menu.
Plenty of sunshine, a nice breeze, should hit 70* today.
Enjoy your day

HUGS Thinking of & saying Thank you to all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Usual weekend stuff. Took boxes over to friend, only to find out she was at the coast with the first load of her stuff. (A friend of hers came to help & drive). Soooo, I still have the boxes, if I don't hear from her soon, I'll take them out of car & break them down for recycling bin. No biggie, she knows I was trying to help. I did go over to see relatives. Stayed for a couple hours. VFW had a booth outside groc store and they gave me a poppy buddie. I in turn gave it to my uncle. He served in Korea. Other family members have served in Civil War, (Company E 13 Tennessee Cavalry), WWII, Vietnam and Desert Storm. My DH was in the Army and Nat'l Guard. I met him just after he got out of the Army. In the process of making potato salad to go with dinner tonight - pub burgers. Not sure if watermelon or ice cream will be dessert. Haven't spent time cbing in spare room, yet.
Kitchen calls me - - no bake cookies, tater salad, kitchen sink salad for tomorrow night. (Kitchen sink salad is just about everything BUT the kitchen sink)
Have a safe day! (((HUGS)))

Good cold afternoon!!!
Joyce, that is good that there were some sales over the weekend. Sounds like the dealership will be busy once they get some cars in. I’m sure you enjoyed your cookout with DB and DSIL. I’m sure you are happy to have a clear desk, makes work easier.
Ruth, my sister had the same problem as you with the prep. I know she has had a colonoscopy since and the prep was different. It seems like each doctor wants the prep done differently. I just plan on being close to the bathroom once I start, but other than that the prep is okay. I do feel the stuff that I have to drink is too sweet especially on a mostly empty stomach. I never heard of poison hemlock, I’ll have to look that up. We have poison ivy in the back yard, we have tried to get rid of it but since our neighbors behind us and on both sides have the poison ivy it also gets into our yard even though we are very careful to try to get rid of it.
Martha, sounds like you had a busy weekend. I’m sure you enjoyed the extra day to do things. Nice that you could visit with your uncle. Your family also has a great history of military experience.
It was a very cold weekend here, the temp now is only 60 degrees. The temp on Saturday and Sunday didn’t get out of the 40s and we have also had over 2” of rain since Friday. We do have heat at the lake (propane) but haven’t had a safety check on the heat in years and we didn’t really want to use it. We used 2 small space heaters and that helped. We had a great time, we met DS#2 girlfriend for the first time. They have been dating since October but she didn’t want to meet the family over the holidays. DS#1 and family were at the lake for the weekend and they also enjoyed meeting the girlfriend. Tomorrow we take 6 boxes of “treasures” to the church for their big tag sale. Some of it is nice stuff but we just don’t need or use it anymore.

Good evening all. Just haven’t been on my iPad much today or lately. We picked up Mara at lunch time and got her outside a couple times this afternoon and evening and got her a rest, but no nap. She’s in bed for the night and I hope she sleeps well. We’ll have her until later tomorrow or else Wednesday morning.
It was 77 later today so a beautiful sunshiny day! After a few days of rain and cooler weather it was nice to get some sunshine! We may hit 90 late in the week.
Dottie, that’s a lot of stuff to get rid of tomorrow! Wish I had that much to ship off. Maybe one of these days!
Joy, sounds like you had a great visit with your DB / DSIL. Glad your DB liked your car!!!
Martha, your meal planning is impressive. You will get to that bedroom. I’ve made some progress on the one upstairs, but it still needs a lot of work!
Ok, going to bed in a bit! Tired and we have Mara so will be busy with her in the morning. Bath and hair washing; then outside to play. Stan has a video chat with the sleep doctor tomorrow afternoon. I’m hoping he lets her know about the issues with his arms & legs as well as the getting up multiple times. I plan to be there for his visit with her.
More tomorrow!
