Hah! I just paid 99.99 for a LIFETIME subscription to loseit and it works with my Apple Watch fine.

Oh brother; well, maybe the app works better on the second series...9/10 I get a notification telling me I need to sign in on the phone. After the most recent update, it is at least taking my step data correctly. WW's needs to be careful how deeply they dip into the pool unless they're tech gets stronger. I never think to look at the app anymore after it performed so poorly for so long. The watch app or the ww one?

I just finally sat down, uninstalled and added the activity stuff and then it was right again. But, I never did anything to make it quit working, so I presume it was one of the Apple updates that WW's didn't get fixed for a while.

That makes sense! I've on,y had my watch for three weeks, but it's been seamless with loseit.

I've had mine since they came out...I don't use a lot of 3rd party apps, but I am obsessed with certain aspects of it...accessing my music/podcasts, the timer (LOL) and I know that I started exercising more consistently after I got it...I realized that doesn't apply to you!

I love it other than the gps sucks. It gives me like an extra mile on a four mile workout....gave me over 9 or 7.99 yesterday. I wish I was that fast! I use it for activity and loseit tracking primarily. I like getting texts on it too. I like that it gives me an all day calorie burn vs. active calories and active calories vs. total calories on workouts. Then heart rate monitor is great for a wrist one. It's always dead on with my Garmin chest strap one.

I ran across info that WW is offering a one-year membership deal with an Apple Watch 2. $99 up front and $34.95 a month for 12 months.
I tracked down this subscription link from the WW news release:
WW Online Plus and Apple Watch 2 I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read this. Perhaps if my Apple Watch and WW app ever worked together I wouldn't find this so amusing. I've had the watch over a year and the various WW apps for three years. I keep everything updated and still each morning I have to re log back in and disconnect/reconnect the activity tracker in the settings to get it to see my steps. Tracking on the watch is hopeless. Once in awhile it shows the correct points but I can never trust it. Additionally, it is slow as molasses. Anyone who reads the ad will have expectations of technology that works. I am willing to overlook the shortcomings and frustrations because the program has worked for me. A newcomer will not have that position. I see a lawsuit in my crystal ball. Perhaps this will force them to fix their technology. Ha,ha ha ok now I did fall out of my chair. Having suffered and gotten outraged about the frequent demands to log into the mobile app again, I discovered the fix...
Kathy (ksbruns), this workaround may apply to you, too.
When you know you were logged in but are again presented with the sign-in screen, force-quit the app and relaunch it (double-click the home button, the swipe up to remove the app from the screen). When I do this, the app runs and takes me to the tracking page as it should to begin with. It has saved me lots of logging in.

Okay Mike, I was puzzled for a minute thinking you were talking about force-quitting the app on the watch and then I figured out you meant the phone...will try next time!

zazzles I just did your trick on the phone app and it worked perfectly! Thanks! Glad to hear it solved someone’s problems besides my own. I was going insane having to log in so often—and sailor language isn’t often acceptable when in public places like restaurants!
