So this sucks. Jeff has been assigned a junior lawyer as the lawyer he had didn’t like him so passed it down. They did zoom and Jeff was not on the call but the new lawyer asked for an extension saying he had to ask Jeff if he was willing to pay to have a doctor testify about his inability to work. The judge was not happy as I guess this new guy also said if an increase is given they want it retroactive to when the divorce was granted. He said he doesn’t believe in anything being retroactive as that would cause a huge financial burden on Debbie. So the lawyer wanted it to be another hearing but the judge said it will be a pre-trial consult as he wants to really check the background of this case which could go in Debbie’s favor. I don’t think he will want that expense but if he does and gets a doctor to certify he is too sick to work they could award him 40% of Debbie’s salary. Her lawyer said this judge is one who likes to be shown similar cases to base his decision on and also believes in using common sense. So the pre-trial is set for August 4th and will be zoom again and Debbie does not have to participate. If a doctor says he is too sick to work Debbie’s lawyer wants proof that he has asked for social security disability. Such a mess and just makes me angrier about all of this.

don't blame you or Debbie for being P.O.! I would to.JEFF knows how to work the system or might be being coach by somebody..all we can do is pray this judge has his number.
well for lunch we went to MCDONALd'S, the store that was being remolded is now open. I LIKE THE OLD INTERIOR BETTER.
they took out tables and put in booths,that is ok. they do have some tables with chairs. they took out the high booths.
2 walls look like barn wood,they have A divider made out of barn wood.new lamps in the dining area (liked the old ones better)part of the floor is big gray tile and slipperly.
walking into the bathroom ,my cane almost went out from under me,puddles of water. they have the sinks on one wall, the hand dryer beside the door.now people don't shake their wet hands off in the sink the water ends up under the dryer and puddles by the door a cane can go under from you if you don't use it right,does not make any difference if it is rubber tip, 3 or 4 legged..it is so easy to be walking and the tip is on it's side instead of flat.the ladies room is now on what was the men's side and the men's on the women's side
not sure what they are doing to the play area and that is looking strange.,yellow tape was up so must be working on it.
now you go in the door and you punch in your menu,you can still pay cash.they bag everything now.
leaving Don told the gal it was easier to just order,she is hearing a lot of that. I told her there was nothing wrong with the old dining room, again she said she was hearing that a lot.. as seniora were coming in you could see the look on their faces,some walking out.a lot of seniors do not like all the new tech stuff.
I will write Lee and RICK(OWNERS)A LETTER ,I know it won't change anything 'all they will do is put a wet floor sign out.
oh they put new lamps in the dining area, ugly. nothing was wrong with the pretty red pen lighat they had before.phyl

Sandy: It is such a shame about how the SOB is able to abuse the law. I think Debbie should be there on Zoom. And I will pray that he won't put out the money for a doctor. I sincerely doubt he has so much wrong with him that he can't work so he won't put it out if that is the case because he knows that the report would not say he can't work. He manages to do whatever he wants, when he wants. I still wonder why Debbie put up with him for so many years.
I went shopping today so my body is protesting. I have already cleaned Jim up twice today and had to change the sheets since he dropped his pee bottle near his pillow -- all over the clean sheets that were put on by Bobbie yesterday. I am on my third load of wash now which I will put on after 9PM when the electric rate goes down. I do thank God because I had 6 hrs. and 48 mins. of sleep last night which is a winner for me.

Kathie two reasons. First being Catholic she believed in the sanctity of marriage, which he did try to use against her when she filed for divorce that the Catholic Church would not allow it and she said sorry Jeff as they do and it’s called annulment. The second was early in their marriage his Dad was still living and had a ton more money than we did and would have used it to take Maija away and she has said many times it was worth it to stay to be sure her daughter was raised with moral values as his family has none. BUT she told Jeff the first time he touched Maija for any reason all bets were off and she would take her and leave. He managed to hold off until her first prom night and that ended the marriage.

mMolly, i live east of where the car was so the mountains were behind me, but the mountains were still lovely. The only way I know my directions is to first locate the mountains, because they are alway to the west.

Debbie did the smart thing.
It's a good idea to play the game knowing the rules and usual outcomes.
I found two fitted sheets that have deep corners. Well, actually three. One is flannel, and two are the same coral flowered sets that I bought for the twins' inflatables a few years ago.
Guy's friend is okay, but his truck is totaled. He says he hit a slick spot.
The guy who mows our yard at Mom's house just called and said he found the back door open. He closed and locked it. It's a little difficult to lock, and may have been sprung by recent storms. Will report more after checking out the situation. Also, I need to check the farmhouse. I've been advised to be certain I have a sheriff's deputy with me when I do that. I am so done with renting that house. So very done.

Molly: So glad you will take a deputy with you to check the farmhouse. I think part of the reason we have had no problems on the ranch is that we are a police family. Just once we found a person walking around the front yard who did not belong there and I think my DSon scared the h_ll out of him.
I had a really hard day....three loads of wash and cleaning up of Jim several times.....the last time a really big mess. He called me when he was in bed and said "What happened?".....I simply told him he was incontinent now and he should just call me and it was OK. He settled down hearing that.
