Driving drunk is illegal too! I had a friend who was one block from his house when he was hit and killed by a drunk driver. And yet, booze is legal. So are cigarettes. Kwim?
If people want them they will get them. Just like they get illegal drugs.
Put a warning sticker on them or ban them in every state. But, people will get them anyway.

Not enough room in the jail? Wouldn't it be easier and profitable to just make them legal? Why are they illegal anyway? Anybody know? Biggest reason they are banned here is due to fire danger.

I never liked fireworks or noise. It frightens pets, wildlife, children, and me.
Why do people celebrate things by making loud noises?

Why do people play music so loud you can't hear anyone talking?

They are tying to convince themselves they exist by making a lot of noise. Just my metaphysical take.

I'd like to understand that too! I live on a 4 lane road that is busy with traffic. Sometimes the cars going up and down it are playing the music so loud it makes my windows shake! I can't imagine how they can hear anything going on around them with the music that loud. I bet they will regret it when they are my age and have hearing loss Thanks for letting me gripe about this, it drives me crazy

I bet they will regret it when they are my age and have hearing loss Yeah, I've heard comments over the years by people who said they went to one to many concerts. My husband and I were friends and we went to a bar to hear a musical group. The music was so loud it hurt my ears. The place had a porch and I went out there. I don't like going to live shows unless it is classical music because the music is too loud.

People make noise because they are rude, crude, and indifferwnt. Nobody matters but them.

they went to one to many concerts. I attended so many rock shows in my youth. My hearing is still sharp, Mr. Lani says I have "bat ears". So just lucky I guess. Sometimes I wish I had a hearing aid I could turn off when the neighborhood gets noisy and I'm trying to sleep. I hate ear plugs.

lani, My mom had one deaf ear and when she was older she found out it was calcium deposits on the bones. She had the surgery where they scrap the calcium off and she could then hear in the ear. After the surgery she said she missed being able to turn her deaf ear up to help her go to sleep.

A lot of these younger people probably have hearing loss at a very early age due to the in-ear earbuds and headsets, playing music, games, etc realy loud directly funneled into the ear.

I read an article (I don't remember where) and it was head/ear phones for kids. It is a big concern with the kids now.

I can imagine - all the noise channeled directly into the ear canal. Bad news.
