We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

Eric T is really such a doofus. The whole family should have hypocrite tattooed across their foreheads. When asked about all the time Tweety spends on the golf course, Eric explained that it was important time which allows his father to build friendships. Of course, we're not allowed to know who those friendships are being built with, i.e. rich, powerful people seeking favor from the WH. Maybe he should try playing a round with Kim Jon-un. Ironically, Eric is so clueless he doesn't even see the hypocrisy in this on many levels but the one jumping out at the top being how critical his father was whenever President Obama played a round of golf. And, as for draining that swamp? There's so many critters swimming around in it now they're going to have to order more water for it.
As for Melania having to give Tweety a nudge to put his hand over his heart during the national anthem. I can give him a pass and assume he was distracted and may not have even realized for a moment what music was being played. Seeing Melania do that actually made her seem more human. Up until now I had never seen her do anything that made her seem like a typical wife as opposed to a super model, trophy on display. So good for her!
Hoping that Ossof will win that election in Georgia today. Even if he loses, the fact that it may be a very close election gives hope that the country is waking up to the disaster they've placed in power.
Having that cyst removed from my leg this morning. Should be a simple procedure, and it is on an outpatient basis. Still it is never any fun to have something like that done, so I'll be glad when it's in my rear view mirror.

The Rachel Maddow Show The State Department has an office responsible for overseeing diplomatic security abroad. With Donald Trump's Benghazi obsession in mind, why is that office empty? on.msnbc.com/2nZ3veYEric T. also said people are so mean on Twitter...LOL...ya think, well start with Daddy. Maybe Eric should stay off the big boys playground. Ivanka put out Tweet Congratulating Libraries & Libraians for Library Week, and boy she got hammered, as she should, about how Daddy is defunding Public Libraries. The whole family is clueless ...I agree, Melania looked a bit more human when she nudged Tweety. I think I could relate to her more if she dropped the fakey squinty smile/frown & just dressed down abit. I mean even Baron had a blazer, shirt & dress pants on at an Easter Egg Roll. Do these peeps never just wear ordinary jeans & tees. Picky, I know, but fancy dresses, suits etc for every day just sets them apart. JMHO. Even the real Royal family dress down & blend in & to me just look more relatable. if that makes any kind of sense. LOL SO, buy American, sell American , hire American ...ahhhhhhh, Tweety gonna be in big trouble with his own policy he is signing today, since he does the complete opposite. It probably would help a lot if he would make collage affordable, loan repayment easier, etc to help our kids get good quality educations to fill some of these jobs. But he & DeVos just made it harder by eliminating loan repayments policies that were trying to make that easier for Grads. Just boggles my mind the hypocrisy of this administration. Joyce. Wishing you a speedy recovery on that cyst removal. Hope all goes ok. Going out of town this afternoon for DH Post Op followup on his eyes. Hoping to visit 3 other Little Free Libraries along the way & leave books.

Got a phone call from the doctor's office. Dr. has been called in for surgery on an emergency aneurysm, so my little issue has been set back until this afternoon. Hoping all goes well for whoever is in danger with the aneurysm. Linda, I seriously doubt that they own any jeans and T-shirts, but you are right that it would make them more relatable. I have nothing against Melania, but she does come across as some sort of plastic Barbie doll. So I was glad to see a moment when she seemed like a normal wife. As for Barron, I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him when he was not dressed up. I hope the poor kid does get to just be a normal kid once in awhile, although maybe when you live in such a rarefied atmosphere what you and I would consider "normal" would be completely abnormal to them. Who knows? It must be hard growing up in Tweety's shadow. Forgotten Tiffany probably was better off. Had to laugh when I saw this: www.cnn.com/2017/04/13/health/mar-a-lago-health-inspection-trnd/?iid=ob_homepage_deskrecommended_pool Maybe having dinner at Mar-a-Lago isn't so great afterall! LOL!

Yes, I saw that Mar a Lago got Health Code violations. Wonder if that included that " Chocolate Cake" Tweety was bragging about. LOL

On April 6, Ivanka Trump's company won provisional approval from the Chinese government for three new trademarks, giving it monopoly rights to sell Ivanka brand jewelry, bags and spa services in the world's second-largest economy. That same night, the first daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, sat next to the president of China and his wife for a steak and Dover sole dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Do you think that just maybe the Chinese approved the trademarks as a gift to coincide with the steak and sole at Mar-a-Lago? Of course they did. Which is why the Trumps running their family business out of the White House is fleecing America -- using government office to enrich themselves. Itâs what a two-bit dictatorâs family does in a third-world nation. What do you think?

Dr's office just called back. The emergency surgery my doctor was pulled into is turning out to be much bigger than first anticipated, and she will be in surgery the rest of the day. So my little issue has been rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Bummer! Because I wanted to get it over with, but I can understand.

Bummer Joyce, you get psyched for a procedure then it gets pushed off for a day. Not the worse thing in the world but annoying. I hope the cyst is not giving you too much pain, and pray that all goes well with the patient in the OR.
Dummfy and family think they look all classy dressing up for the wrong occasions....WRONG!
Oh Eric is complaining about people being mean? Apple does not fall far from the tree. The family treats people very poorly then complains when the tables are turned.
Some supposedly ADULTS don't deserve the title. Whiny men are so pathetic.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)âOffering a stunningly blunt appraisal of the North Korean leader, Jared Kushner said on Tuesday that Kim Jong-un was a âtotally unqualified personâ who attained his position of power only through nepotism.
âHere you have a guy who has no government experience, and heâs in charge of the whole thing,â Kushner said, in an interview with Fox News. âItâs the craziest thing Iâve ever heard of.â
Kushner noted that, instead of working his way up and acquiring the skills necessary to do his job, the North Korean leader had been given huge responsibilities and power âonly because of family connections.â
âThereâs only one word for that,â he said. âNepotism.â
Kushner called the notion of such an unqualified person conducting foreign policy âbeyond belief.â
âI mean, why would you let someone with no experience in foreign affairs anywhere near such important decisions?â Kushner added. âWhy would anyone take someone like that seriously?â
Kushner said that the people of North Korea must look at the powerful position attained by the âtotally inexperienced and unqualifiedâ Kim and shake their heads. âTheyâve got to be asking themselves, âWho elected him?â â he said.
