This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends.
Another grey and cloudy morning here. I'm almost looking forward to August, when we generally get out of the daily rain threats and more into the suffocating sunshine, heat & humidity. Haha!
The concert last night was terrific! The music was terrific, possibly even better than the last one where they covered Queen. All evening we watched as rain clouds creeped closer and closer. At one point there was a lot of distant lightening, but it wasn't close so no danger to us. They were keeping a close eye on the weather. Just after the band took a brief intermission it started to sprinkle, which then progressed to a full on down pour. The band was under cover, so they kept playing. At that point we were already soaked, so no sense in leaving, it was a pretty good walk to where we were parked, so we still would have been getting drenched - although probably half or more of the audience took off. Mark and I and the couple we sat with (his high school bestie and his wife) were the only ones from our group of 16 that stayed until the end, and boy did they miss out! That was when they played all of the "greatest hits" type songs, so lots of sing-along opportunities. All of the folks that remained were clearly the "hard core" types so the energy was great. It only rained for about 20 minutes, but we were all drenched and looked like a bunch of drowned rats, but it was so much fun.
It's a 40-60% chance of rain all day today, so IDK if we'll do anything outdoorsy, but it's not looking good. We should probably get to the grocery store, but personally I'd be okay to but that chore off if possible. Lol.
Well, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday! BBL

Happy Saturday, everyone,
I was able to keep up with everyone's posts this week, but just couldn't get time to get on myself. I am off this weekend, and I'm really glad because it was a stressful week. It is pretty this morning, but the heat will be oppressive and we are supposed to get really bad thunderstorms late this afternoon. I am going to run over to the mall and pick up my glasses and contacts, and make a quick stop at Lowe's for some pool shock. Other than that, I have no plans. I got a little off track with my eating this week, and I gained 2 lbs. I did NOT like seeing a higher number again! I'm back in the swing of things now, it was just such a crazy week.
Susie, great job being under goal weight. I was wondering if there is any particular reason DD is eating a lot of HB eggs.... I love the things, and having them on hand for salads or egg salad.
Lora, I have always been such an Eagles fan. I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much.
Jana, I'll bet we'll be seeing you saying "IT SOLD" in no time!
Jill, the kayaking sounds so nice. Glad you had such a great experience with it.
Janet, the amusement park has been there a long time, and has been added to over the years. I went there for the first time in 1967 and it was so much fun. I remember riding the old wooden roller coaster The Comet, and it is still there. It is only about an hour from here, so we have been several times since moving here. And the smell of chocolate that hangs in the air is just heavenly. I always loved how the town represents the chocolate factory, with street lights shaped like Hershey kisses, and other little touches you see throughout the town!
Well, I need to get some more coffee, and I am having a little oatmeal for breakfast this morning. I hope everyone is having a good weekend, and fun with whatever you get to do today! Waving to all,
RobinMD

Hi again!
Still gray and gloomy here. We did pop out to our little local grocery and picked up enough for the next week or so. We need a Costco run soon, but I don't think either of us were up to that today. We didn't get home until about midnight last night and then it was probably close to 1am before we went to bed. We're just not used to keeping those kinds of hours. Lol I think we're both feeling a little on the tired side today. So we're just hanging out around the house and having a quiet day so far.
RobinMD - Sorry for your heat and potential thunderstorms, I get it. This muggy stuff is miserable. I hope you're able to enjoy your quiet day and that your storms are not too terrible later.

We are having some very noisy thunderstorms right now. The dogs aren't as scared as they were for the fireworks....I think thunder is so much less threatening than those! I was able to go to the mall and get my glasses and contacts. I took a couple of watches that needed new bands and one needed a battery. I also took a couple of Mom's things to the jewelry store to see if the clasps could be repaired. From the way it sounded, I anticipate picking them up after I get an estimate, and taking them to the guy who did my watchbands! It was so weird to be in the mall....I haven't been inside for a really long time, and it felt like I was in a time warp. I have fun memories with my girls there, when they were younger So no blackberry picking and no yardwork today, but tomorrow is supposed to be in the 80's with a lot of passing clouds, so it should be a good day for mowing and weed whacking. ODD is coming by, but she won't be here long. I'll need to let the grass dry, so I will enjoy my easy Sunday morning with good coffee and my favorite Sunday morning shows. Ahhhh. I have SO learned how to enjoy my weekends off! My brother is REALLY trying to talk me into moving up North. He sent me a lot of listings up there to look at and his realtor is sending me info for a local real estate guy to help me sell this place. I haven't got a plan to go anywhere yet, but I am not happy at work, and it could be that I am just going to have to jump on a good opportunity if it presents itself. I am going to be looking for work in different areas, and I have found a couple of places in Maine that I would buy right now if the timing was right. Who knows? Lora, a nice day of rest sounds great! I did have to chuckle about the night life recovery! I'm the same...its all good and fun until you get up the next morning and wonder who beat you up and when did it happen?! I hope it was a good day! I'll be back tomorrow.... I hope everyone is having a really nice weekend! Waving to all! RobinMD

Hey Robin!
So glad the pups are handling the thunder easier than they did the fire works. Sounds like you did a good job of getting all of your errands done and your stops made. I absolutely think keeping all of your options open is a good idea. Today has indeed been a quiet day with not a lot of activity. Even my Oura ring knew I was too lame to have that much fun. It set my activity goal for today at about 1/3 of what it usually is. hahaha! We had some pizza bowls for supper, so that was easy enough and didn't make a lot of dishes to clean up. Then CC and I spent some quality time while we watched a silly movie. All in all a pretty quiet and easy going day. And I suspect we'll be in bed before too much longer. Thankfully we have tomorrow to try to actually get something done before Monday hits. Mark is taking off Wednesday and his parents are going to come out and spend the day, and then DD and DSIL stop by on Thursday morning to drop off the grandpup as they head up to WI for a few days.

Hi everyone... talking about thunderstorms, it has been raining here off and on for several hours with the thunder, etc. This messenger thing keeps popping up so I finally opened it up and it was 2 messages from Janet about my FB a week ago, I guess when I mentioned that I thought I had been hacked. I am so upset. I sent out a message telling people not to accept any new "friend" messages from me, but it makes me nervous thinking that someone could be posting weird messages supposedly from me. Is there any way I can actually check my acct? I have looked at recent posts from myself, but nothing looks out of the ordinary, so I don't know how to check it. I hate to close an acct and open another one because then you REALLY would have to ask people to "FRIEND" you - cheeze - I am not going there.
Lora - what a great time you had at the concert - so glad you stayed through the rain !!!
RobinMD - It would not surprise me to hear that you have decided to move - wow - that would be a big change, but with things at work the way the are right now, and all the upkeep you have with the pool, all the mowing, etc.... however, I think the hardest part would be leaving your girls behind, so maybe a move like that is a long way off.
Today, my DSister came out with her DGD who is the same age as my YDGD and together with DGS (only 1 year older) they went to the pool and had a great time. My DS has not been to my house for over a year I think...we always end up just meeting someplace or going to her house.
YDD arrives sometime tonight from Boston... I am guessing just before midnight. DH is already in bed and I will probably be sitting in a chair asleep when they arrive. I am saying good night to everyone for now...
