Good morning all. Slept well and grateful. Last night we had yet another horrid rain. This time we were forced out of the screen room as it was coming in. Not sure what's on the 'weather agenda' for today. I shall plan outdoor activities accordingly.
No need to shop as we got all we needed yesterday. That puts a smile on my face
You have a keeper DH, Sue. Carl is not one to really mix/mingle but over the years he is much better at that sort of thing and will accompany me as your DH does AND has a nice time Win win. LOL Pam about breakfast lunch/dinner and supper. In our house it was breakfast dinner and supper. When I worked dinner was changed to lunch Clueless as to why that was! I agree it's always much easier to have lots of foods on hand and lots of foods to choose from. I do tend to eat the same way until I start getting bored with it. Then it's time to switch it up! I too man a list maker so I can appreciate DD3's approach.

Good morning all. Another rainy day around here. This rain is never-ending and starts to get to us after a bit.
Good to read all the posts from yesterday. We had another day of having to vacate the house for showings - there were 3 yesterday. One responded that they may be preparing a bid but you never know. I'll keep you posted. I'll send a message with other info.
Sue, you really do have a gem of a DH. My DH is a friendly, but quiet guy. He is better in small conversations and much more likely to engage with one or two people rather than in a crowd. But, he also is a good sport and goes along to social functions with me; like Pam's DH, he is also very happy staying home in his routine. I think all four of us are lucky and grateful for our mates.
I haven't had breakfast yet. I have been on the phone with work things and just not too hungry yet. We went out to look at fridges yesterday. They are in short supply right now so we have to get going and order one soon. I am seeing my DB and DSIL this week for lunch which will be fun. They are up from FL and are headed to Plymouth near the Cape for a week's vacation soon. They stopped en route in NC to spend time with my SIL, DN and DN over the weekend and from their photos, it looked like they had a ball.
We are going to see both of my brothers and some of the family this weekend in Plymouth for the day on Sunday and then bring them over to tour the house. The dogs may have to go to see their doggie friends at the kennel that day since we'll be gone a while and cannot bring them along to a restaurant and don't dare leave them alone that long. I plan to take a few days off next week to spend time with my DN and his family from CO at the beach.
MOre later...

Back from a hood walk where it started to drizzle on our way back. It actually felt good as it's VERY humid. Tomorrow 'they say' sunshine. I am not holding my breath. I'll simply look out the window when I wake up and plan it from there! Judy be patient...this coming from someone with NO patience at all. But you know what I mean. Praying that it all works out in your favor and I still believe that it will. Nice that you'll get together with your DB's and families. The break will do you and DH good. Speaking of lunch........I need to get a move on as I am past hungry Waving and will CBL

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday! For some unknown reason I did not sleep well last night and am paying for it today. Tonight is a new night, so I expect I will sleep. Nonetheless, I went out for a walk this morning. Starting with yesterday I increased how far I go, and again today. My back is making steady improvement. I remember my chiropractor always telling me to WALK! I also still have stretches he taught me, and some I learned in PT years ago, and DH has been good about massaging me with the HoMedics wand massager. I started taking some Advil (alternating with Tylenol) and it has helped as well. Don't know what "set it off" this time, but at least I started treatment right away and I am still within a week of the start.
Ann ~ So sorry you are having such horrid weather! We already had that and now have put together several beautiful days in a row, despite it being hotter than I would like today. I also took some things out of the freezer (pork chops and chicken breasts) to grill tomorrow.
Judy ~ I do hope you are not too discouraged! What a great time for you to have your family to look forward to! That should help take your mind off of things you have no control over, right??
Pam ~ In regards lunch/dinner/supper, I think you hit the nail on the head! I read your description and could not agree more. I find that even writing here, sometimes I say "dinner" and sometimes "supper", but for the same reasons you and Ann mentioned. When we have something light, I tend to say "supper" whereas a larger or heavier meal deserves a "dinner".
I have been busy doing this 'n that around here. Had a couple of loads of laundry sitting, so I started them and one is washing and one is drying. I have made a broccoli salad and put it in the fridge. I have all the ingredients for Mango salad, but haven't made it yet.
Last night's supper was cottage cheese with sliced peaches. Tonight will be the leftovers from Friday night along with a tossed salad. We brought home quite a bit of food from the restaurant. We discussed just dividing it all in half and serving it up that way.
Meanwhile, I received my Amazon order of red bathroom rugs. Wouldn't you know? They are not the same red at all. Of course, they are exactly what I wanted. But I went on Kohl's (online) and found reversible red rugs in the correct sizes and I ordered them. I had a30% off coupon and I can pick them up at the store (probably tomorrow) and then I'll check both out and see which ones I'll keep?? So either way I'll be making two trips to Kohl's (to pick up and then to return one or the other).
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue so sorry that you rugs involve 2 trips to Khol's. Yes our weather is horrible. I just read online that Worcester...the city I was born and raised in and lived till 14 years ago broke it's 'rain record'. In 1938 a hurricane hit dropping 11" of rain. Since July 1, Worcester has gotten slammed with 16". We are in Worcester County. Although I have no clue what our town got I can assure you the numbers are right UP THERE somewhere. Right now the sun is out and the humidity is high! Can't win. I long for a nice cool day with no humidity or rain. Maybe it will happen I keep wishing hoping and praying Your meals sound good. Happy that your back is responding to the wand the OTC meds and the walking. Sometimes it's hard to pinpoint what actually set it off. Could be that it was coming on gradually and then bingo hit all at once! Well I am ready to call it a day. Supper is done. We had grilled chicken sandwiches with spinach tomato and light miracle whip on a hamburg bun and air fries. It was good and filling. Going to sit a bit and read, check the weather and hopefully we can walk once the sun goes down. If not we'll have to take out changes with the heat and humidity! Sweet dreams and will catch up tomorrow.

Good evening! Well, the doctor, thankfully, is taking a conservative approach. She showed me how to wrap my first three toes and it really made a difference. Of course, it only works with closed shoes. She also prescribed some metatarsal pads for my shoes that I haven't tried yet. She might give me another steroid shot at some point, but it is too soon after the first one now. If/when I have surgery, it will require me to be non-weight-bearing on that foot for 4 weeks. There is no rush and I can walk and do yoga as tolerated without worrying about doing further damage. She said once all conservative treatments have been tried, I should have no issue with getting Medicare and insurance to approve surgery. I did not sleep well at all last night. I had another nightmare (had one the night before) and woke in the middle of the night and started thinking. I nearly thought myself into a panic attack. After an hour, I got up and went to the bathroom and got a drink of water. When I came back to bed I said some prayers and eventually drifted off to sleep again. I got up early as I needed to get ready and move the car so the HH nurse wouldn't block me in, as I had to leave in the middle of her visit for my doctor's appt. DD2 came and took DH to hyperbaric, but his blood sugar was too low to go in the chamber, so they came back home. After my appt., I stopped at the mall to get a body spray that Anna wanted from Bath & Body Works, only to find it was sold out and they don't expect to receive more. The same thing happened with my favorite Lavender and Vanilla body spray. I picked up lunch from Raising Canes and then headed to Sam's. I got nearly everything on my list and got it all loaded in the car just as it started to rain. I got home and unloaded the car just before another shower. Lucky me! Then I had 45 minutes to relax before heading back to town for Alzheimer's support group. Only one person showed up for group, but it meant I could give her lots of attention. She is a young woman with a 13 year old daughter. Her mom has early onset Alzheimer's and is only in her 50's. So sad! Her husband (not the young woman's dad) has apparently taken all the woman's retirement/IRA funds. I urged her to get an elder care attorney to see if anything can be done to recover the funds, or at least see that any remaining income is sent to her mom, as they will certainly need every penny to pay for her care. DH and I really enjoyed our dinner of pecan pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. It was very quick to prepare and delicious. Now we have the evening to relax and I can hopefully get to bed early for some much-needed sleep. Judy - I hope time and patience will reward you with a good offer! Ann is right, the trip to Plymouth will be just what you need to unwind. Good idea to leave the "babies" at the kennel. Sue- I also remember the doctor telling me to walk, walk, walk when I had back problems. Glad you seem to be on the mend! Ann - Here's hoping you get some sunshine soon! I always joke that my toes are starting to web like a duck's when we get too much rain.
