Believe it or not, I actually cancelled a 6:00 appt tonight because it is our 41st anniversary and I wanted to come home and eat with DH then I ended up working late. Oh well, I am taking tomorrow off so we can eat together then. No tasks today at home because work was so busy but tomorrow I will have a list. Thanks for getting our week started.

Good morning. Happy to have the day off. I am always torn between spending time cleaning and wanting to just do nothing. However, I do need to get some things done, I just need to remember it doesn't all need to be done today. Tuesday possibilities (declutter and cleaning will be quick and may not all get done today) clean and prep fruits and veges we bought caramelize onions and make pizza dough for tomorrow declutter (going to put things on new shelves) clear off table tops on first floor quick clean of 1st floor bathroom PT dr. appt.

Cathy - Happy Anniversary! Awesome that you took a day off and will use at least a little of the time for enjoyment! Ooh, l love caramelized onions, hadn't thought of putting them on pizza. Do you work it into the dough or put on top? Yum!
I did skip morning exercise zoom classes yesterday but by late afternoon was feeling ok, so I agreed to try a slow and easy bike ride with my Sweetie. Pedalling actually felt easier on my knees than walking, so we did have a nice ride a few miles out and back on the canal path (yes, nice and flat!). I went nice and slow, not pushing it. It was a pretty ride, going past some nice rural areas, a small marina, pretty backyards with lots of flowers, and lots of birds. It wasn't very crowded on the trail, being a Monday. Hooray for long summer days, we were able to start the ride after 6 pm and still make it back to the van before sunset. Today, we are recovering from our "easy" ride and not feeling super energetic, LOL. I didn't sleep well, partly because we had such a late dinner after our ride, partly due to humidity, wrist bothering me a bit, maybe from the ride. Oh well, it was fun and I don't regret the effort.
We're having the driveway sealed today, so our vehicles are parked on the front lawn today and tomorrow....hoping it doesn't rain super hard tonight and mar the job.

Already 8:15 pm. Got very little sleep last night and today was one of those non-stop days at work. Came home and made homemade pizza. The caramelized onions, pear, and cheese was really yummy. Also liked the second one I made with homemade pizza sauce, bacon, and cheese. Family really enjoyed it.

Oops, I missed 2 days again... Had our monthly board meeting for computer club Wednesday evening. I’m glad it’s still via Zoom so at least I didn’t have to drive. Even so, it chewed up 3 hours of my day. We celebrated DBF’s birthday Thurs. by going out for a steak dinner with a few friends. And I did get out for a neighborhood walk in the afternoon, before I went to my cello lesson. Busy day.
Friday possibilities: —wrap gifts (his birthday is actually today) ✅ wrapping actually took longer than shopping, LOL. Unlike Christmastime, everything I ordered arrived right on schedule. —groceries for weekend ✅ —make ice cream cake ✅ —decluttering ❌ (created more messes than I had cleaned up) —walk ✅ —evening routine ✅ partial

It sounds so lovely Carol to hear you out and about with friends. It still feels weird going out and yet so normal. We have a delivery of a new mattress and box spring for the guess room. My cousin is coming on Aug 7 for a week. This morning DH will vacuum the guest room, so happy they bring the delivery all the way upstairs and set it up. DH hates to admit he can't do these things by himself anymore and I can't help anymore. Need to really get some decluttering and cleaning done this weekend and next to prep for her coming.
Weekend possibilities vacuum guest room (DH will do) finish decluttering table in front room table hotspots on first floor laundry make 2 cards for work go out for dinner
Sunday in person church go shopping for sheets and towels for guest room/bathroom grocery shop if needed plan dinners for the week prep rx for week prep breakfast for week WW virtual meeting

Sunday possibilities: --in person Mass ✅ --buy milk & eggs ✅ (in the birthday excitement, I forgot to buy a few basics Friday) --make omelette ✅ --walk or bike ✅ bike ride, a loop around the town near the rocket launch --maybe stop at a model rocket launch ✅ we saw our friend launch a few and also went back later for the night launch, with LED lights on the rockets! --wind down earlier!! --evening routine ✅
