This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends! Sending out happy Tuesday vibes to everyone. I bet you can't guess what my weather is today... Well, shoot. Yep, you guessed it...RAIN! 🙄 Tomorrow Mark is taking the day off and his parents are going to drive out and spend the day with us. We'll probably take them out somewhere for lunch and maybe ride around and show them where we've been kayaking, so they can get a picture in their mind of what we're actually doing. Then Thursday I'm meeting DD and DSIL in the town about 25 miles north of here and picking up Merlin. That town is not too far from the interstate interchange that they'll be taking, so it will save them roughly an hour of drive time + unloading and getting Merlin settled time. Then they'll continue on to Wisconsin. That's a VERY long day of driving, so I'm happy to meet them and help out with making their drive time a little shorter. I'm actually kind of looking forward to Friday getting here when we'll have everything settled in for a little bit. I have a bit of housework to accomplish today, but nothing too taxing. Robin - So glad you've been able to have productive days and I hope today is a good work day for you. And yes, we don't get a lot of standing water on our property, but they have some pretty bad flooding in the areas around us. Janet - glad to hear you were able to get your feeder ordered. Jana - So happy for all of the showings. Fingers crossed that this all resolves quickly and profitably for you. Jill - I hope you were able to get some good relaxation in yesterday. Well, not much else happening around here today. I'll do my best to check back in later. It's kind of hard to believe that here we are closing in on the end of July before too much longer. Wow! I'm hoping that

Hi Everyone, Retried with the payment for the dentist and was sucessful. Usually if there is a problem or something missing or not correct it will not let you go further. Everything that I put in up to that point had been saved and noticed that what I put in as the expiration date was incorrect so corrected that and it went through which saves me a call or trip to the bank. I knew it wasnt due a lack of funds. Planning to visit my friend this morning in the nursing home. As they didnt tell her last time I expect pretty much the same that she may be sleeping so will play it by ear and see if she is sleeping and try to call her and see if she wakes up. I am probably going to the pool this afternoon again. Lora, I hope you have a nice lunch and outing with your inlaws. Other than that I need to do laundry as I didnt do it yesterday but didnt have that much but really need to do my wet shirt 8and towel from Sunday. Exciting, right? My friend said yesterday that she is glad she doesnt drive.. I said you do drive- you drive me crazy! ( back and front seat driving) I think she should start sitting in the back seat again. When she sat in the back I think she doesnt pay attention to all the other drivers or to what I am doing. Lately, I feel like just dropping her off someplace..its irritating. Waving to everyone! Have a great day!!

Good morning, Lora, what a great idea for picking up Merlin. That will make such a difference in your DD's travelling timeline. I bet your in-laws will enjoy seeing where you kayak. Then they'll be able to picture you all in the peaceful environment. Today I have a dental appt.... ugh. It's just a cleaning and regular exam, but ugh. I can't stand going to the dentist. I will say, the office I go to here is truly gentle and caring... which helps. This evening I plan on going to aqua bootcamp. ( I love the name...lol.) RobinMD, so nice you got some pool time in! mmm blackberries! What will you do with the berries? ((((hugs)))) for work. Hang in there. Janet, nice you ordered the pet feeder. I look forward to hearing how it works. Jana, hope the 3-5 meeting went alright. Wow! that's a lot of showings... great! Susie, I am sure you are enjoying time with your DD and the pre-event activities. So exciting!! Waving hi to everyone!

Jill, neither do I as far as the dentist. Tommorow I am getting a tooth pulled which took me a while to schedule because I procrastinated some but wouldnt have wanted to get it done while I was still working though either so maybe not so bad as far as that goes.

Jill - Aqua Bootcamp definitely sounds like a full-on workout. Enjoy. Sending good thoughts for the dentist check up.
Janet - I probably do a bit of backseat driving myself, but DH isn't the best passenger either. Lol
I was just thinking about Susie and how her normal "busy" must be shifted into super high gear right now. I hope everybody is enjoying the family times, the last minute wedding prep, and making great memories of this time. I hope there are lots of laughs and lots of hugs happening.
Susie - for whenever you make it here to check in, I'm wondering if, what and when DD and soon to be DSIL are doing honeymoon wise? If you've mentioned it previously, I guess I missed it.

I went to visit my friend and she was awake and aware of who I was today. We talked for a bit and then I said goodbye and left. Susie, ditto on what Lora and others said about the preparations for the wedding.

Hello everyone.
We have an offer on the house. We are in the middle of negotiating the offer. We have another showing this afternoon, just in case. Hopefully by the end of the week we will be fully under contract. Fingers crossed. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes and happy positive thoughts.
Lora sorry for the continued rain. I know you are excited to see your DD. I hope CC does well with Merlin. You should put your inlaws on a kayak and take them out for a float (joking - I know it is 1 person kayaks)
Janet glad you got the payment with the dentist resolved. Enjoy the pool time if you get to go. Glad your visit with DF went well.
Jill I hate the dentist as well. I am waiting to get an estimate from the dentist office for some work I need to have done. I actually still have a baby tooth that isn't going to be lasting very much longer. I am almost 51 so I will say that it has hung in there well. They want to put a transplant in (is that the right word?). I am not looking forward to it but I think I would rather go ahead and get it taken care of than to have it fall out on its own.
Susie when is the wedding? I know it is sometime soon.
We have training going on in the office this week. The guy will be here until Thursday which means I have more techs in the office than normal.
I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

Jana - so many good thoughts coming your way that house negotiations prove fruitful.
Janet - great that you were able to have a nice visit with your friend.
We're having a super simple supper tonight. Burger patty w/melted swiss & sautéed mushrooms & a side salad. It looks like the rain might have finally stopped for today. Of course, around here, nothing is for sure when it comes to the weather.

Hello Everyone... 4 days til the wedding! I don't know what is wrong with me right now... I am emotions all over the place... I feel like I am depressed - is that possible with all the happy excitement of the wedding? ? I feel like I am old, and tired, and just want to sleep for a week and don't want to see anyone or do anything. One of my neighbors is getting on my nerves, I feel like I am not doing enough for the wedding, I am sad about DD living in Massachusetts, etc. Yesterday afternoon was lovely though as DD and I were working on lace flowers/whatever cut from my wedding dress. We cut them out, added pearls, etc to make hair adornments for her and the flower girls. Tomorrow we will meet the groom's parents in Richmond for lunch, after their flight arrives and before they head to the Charlottesville, VA area and to the wedding site. We will follow them on Thursday. I tried my Mother-of-the-Bride dress on again this morning and feel pleased with it. I took my MDGD (12) and we got mani-pedis today. It is quiet in the house right now as DH is resting, SIL to be is upstairs working, and YDD is over at ODD's house working on wedding stuff. I need to be taking a nap, but talking to you all is somewhat calming. Lora - I feel like you are also a busy bee these days. Have a wonderful time seeing your DD and SIL (and with the in-laws). I think you asked about DD's honeymoon... they are planning a "mini-moon" in Kennebunkport, Maine. Jana - wonderful that you have an offer - sure hope it is for FULL asking price ! Janet - so glad your DF knew you and that the dental payment went through. Jill - aqua bootcamp does sound tough. Sorry about the dental appt. I really like my dentist. Oh...great pics of you kayaking too. RobinMD - glad you got some yard work done AND still had some time for relaxing at the pool. OK... I am off.... not sure when I will be back, but I will be thinking of you all....

Susie!! So glad you stopped in! I think it's perfectly normal to feel a little sad/blue/depressed whatever you want to call it during occasions that are supposed to be happy. It happens to me too. While you've know this was coming, it's still a pretty big life event, and I think having a big of bag of mixed feelings is exceedingly normal. (((Hugs))). The lace adornments made from your dress is a lovely idea! I know you enjoyed the time you got to spent with MDGD getting your nails done. That's special. The mini-moon plans sound fun for them. I guess there are all kinds of "moons" these days. I saw recently where a FB friend went on a "baby-moon" trip to the beach - I guess their last chance at a vacation before their first baby is due next month. Sending lots of hugs your way. I'm sure the rest of the week will be full of all kinds of emotions for you. Hang in there, lady!
