I would love to be invisible and be able to watch my grandchildren close up. That’s one of the disadvantages of distance.
One I could change about myself? Can I take away the peripheral neuropathy and back issues?
The caregiver is a huge help, but this is a teaching learning situation because she is young and inexperienced in many things. Her attitude is good which amazes me as I have gotten to know her better. She is a survivor, for sure.
Today hb was trying to pick up a card from the floor, and he got wedged between the table between two recliners and couldn’t get up. L found him, got him back up and seated. A minute later he was back on his hands and knees. Although he was able to get part way up, he got stuck with feet and hands and we had to assist him again. The card was credit card size, but it was an ad for something I wasn’t interested in.
Things happen, but it was obvious today that I found L just in time.
My DGD and DGKs will be here Sunday for a very brief visit.
Jenny, I had someone do almost the same thing. She was a new employee on a crew of four. She was assigned the master bathroom. We’re on a well and have hard water which makes deep cleaning bathrooms a challenge. She went outside for a 10’ break and never returned. I think she walked back to town which is six miles. That was more than twenty years ago. The job is even more difficult now, but it can be done.
