WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going

I worked a piece of cake into my calories yesterday. It was a picture perfect day, high 70’s, low humidity, calm with no wind. I went to the bike trail for only the second time this season. I have 2 that I usually go to on a regular basis but I’ve only been a total of 3 times. It was nice to take a break.
Nancy, a bite or 2 of cake wouldn’t work for me; I’m better off not having any at all. Glad you’re back on track. I knew it would happen sooner rather than later.
Meg, what about a small bag of Popchips? The mini cheddar cheese rice cakes would be good too. The minis are crunchier than the big ones I think.

DH and I had such a great getaway. Fabulous time with friends on the lake and relaxing time at casino. Very pleased with my eating. All meals out, brought home 1/2 from each. My new bathroom scale was waiting at the front door when returned (last weigh in was Wed 126.2). I was brave enough to get on it this morning - amazed to report 126.8 - so very happy! The big challenge will be tomorrow’s family picnic.
Nancy, Love that your back in the groove!!
Jan, Wonderful that you worked the cake into your calories! Was it worth it?? I have gotten very picky with my treats these days....It better be good....lol
Meg, I’m planning to bring a Big bag of white cheddar popcorn - something I really enjoy and can munch on without to many calories. In addition to a big cucumber/onion/tomato salad and fruit salad - I’ll also enjoy a taste of everything I don’t normally have...looking forward to catching up with family members I don’t get to see..
Kathy, hope your enjoying the weekend and everything is going well

C58. D1. Fresh cycle. New day. I've been in the road. Too much. Going to doctor now for a Lyme's disease test. Doggo tested positive and I had a serious tick bite 2 weeks ago that is lingering.
Hope to catch up later.
Kathy

Day 158. The brunch went very well today. Had a 000 yogurt when I got up, then later at the brunch I made my plate of planned foods and did not go back. Yay! Tomorrow is the picnic and I have lunch made and in the fridge.
Nancy: Thanks for the WW chip suggestions. I have no idea if there's a store around here, but I was trying to avoid going to a store at all. So hot and muggy here. But YAY for your being back in the groove!
Jan: Haven't heard of pop chips. All look next time I shop.
Lori: "Was it worth it?" is a great question. I want to get pickier about my treats, too.
Kathy: So good to see you! And I pray you don't have Lyme disease!
Blessings to all.

Jan - Gorgeous weather here as well. Unfortunately I'm the aide this weekend. Managed a short walk this evening but that's it. Lori - Awesome weigh in. I knew you'd have a great time. What brand of white cheddar popcorn do you get? I tend to use the Snappy air popped cuz it's point free but I do like anything white cheddar. BTW I got the linguini. Very acceptable. Did you get the spaghetti? If so, how thin is it? I'd also like the elbows. And for the mac n cheese did you use just the elbows, cheese packet and ff milk or did you also add butter to make it creamier? Tell me what you're bringing please and I'll bring enough linguini to offset it. Kathy - OMG I hope it's not lymes disease. It's always something, isn't it? How's the B&B coming along? Meg - I get my ww snacks online www.weightwatchers.com/us/shop/food/chips-crisps-crackers I love how you handled the brunch!!
