Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Had a blast at the wedding yesterday. It was a perfect day, sunny, not too hot, slight breeze. The ceremony was outside. There were 23 in her wedding party, 3 jr bridesmaids and 10 couples walked down the aisle. The girls wore red, the men off white suits with red vests. They all looked great. Bride wore an absolutely beautiful dress. Food was delicious. I even danced the Cupid Shuffle.
Heading to work soon. Rain isn’t expected until the evening so it should be a good day.

Joyce, sounds like you had a great time at the wedding. That is a big wedding party, I’m not sure I have ever been to a wedding with that many people in it. I’m not sure what the “cupid shuffle” is but it sounds cute.
Martha, it sounds like you were able to get things done yesterday. We have a George Foreman grill but I have only used it to cook meat. We use our toaster oven a lot – it heats up quickly and good for some types of left overs that don’t do well in the microwave. Hope the car issues aren’t too bad.
Ruth, it sounds like Mara will be a night owl with not wanting to go to bed. You said your DS is a night owl and maybe Mara will be also. I found when my boys were about that age if they took too long of a nap they were harder to put to bed. I’m sure you will be glad when all the girls go home and you and Stan have some quiet time.
Beautiful morning, low 60s and no humidity. It is supposed to warm up to low 80s today. As soon as the dew dries on the grass Bill is going to cut the lawn, it needs it from all the rain we have been having. I went out on Thursday morning and picked up some of the hickory nuts – some are so big they look like green apples. More rain is expected tomorrow. We aren’t heading to the lake for the weekend because we are going to a concert tomorrow, Tony Orlando.

Good afternoon all. I think we’re running to Costco and Target or the grocery store in a bit. Stan is currently napping in his recliner since all the girls left.
DIL texted this morning that she was running over on the east side of town and would pick up Mara if that helped. Was great that we didn’t have to meet up or deliver her. She was happy to see mommy so that was nice. Sometimes when we tell her she’s going home, she’ll say, “no, I stay here!”!! The girls wore her out so much last evening playing that she went to bed w/o a peep. Not one sound came out of her after Stan closed her door. Maybe we just need to keep her busier and up later. She didn’t go down until about 9:30 and the girls went up about 9:45 after the USA had finally made their appearance in the Olympic opening ceremony. She is a night owl; as is her daddy; as am I. So they come by it naturally. My mom said I was always a night owl, even as an infant/toddler.
Younger DD got in her long run this morning before the heat became unbearable. The girls started knit picking at each other once Mara left and then when their mom got here so she took them home. They can play in their pool.
not a lot else going on. Will be back later. Stan’s awake and we should go.

Hugs to all~ I went solo to do Sat. errands. I would say car issue is fairly serious. DH ordered some parts & we are hoping that takes care of problems. If not, I'll let DH figure it out. Picked up books from library. I'll have to be careful not to try reading them all in a couple days. Reading is my fave past time and escape.
In the morning, we will clean out deep freeze & reorganize it. I'm sure the list/tally sheet is way out of whack. Meant to do it last weekend but life intervened. Then will get to do my usual prep for the week, including granola/snack mix. Will see if DH has any special requests. I may bake some cookies on outside George. Our weather is heating up, to mid 90's. Planned meals may be adjusted due to that. I think I'll make a batch of Gazpacho to have on hand. DH asked if I could make the plain tomato recipe.
Joy - Glad you had a good time at the wedding. That's a large wedding party! The colors sound pretty. Glad it was outside. Do we get to see a picture of you all dressed up for the wedding? How cold was it at work today? Dottie - We don't need more counter space eating appliances. I fixed french fries on george last night. I put them frozen on pizza pan (it fits circumference wise) and stirred them a couple times. I'll probably do the cookies on pizza pan. Enjoy your concert. Ruth - Glad that Mara was worn out last night. Having a couple cousins around probably helped. How is she doing with the idea of potty training? When will she be able to attend preschool?
I haven't been that interested in the Olympics this time. Probably due to covid-19 issues.

Hope to be back tomorrow but. . . .who knows. m

Ruth, I guess that is the way to get Mara to sleep, wear her out, but that isn’t easy with little ones. Glad to hear that DIL came to pick her up, it saved you and Stan a trip to drop her off. Did you get your running around finished? Sorry to hear that Sawyer and Harper were picking on each other. I’m sure they will be glad to be back in school and in some type of schedule/routine.
Martha, hope the car repair is an easy one for your DH. I know it is easy for me to forget what is in the freezer. After shopping I head to the freezer and just put things in, I should pay more attention where I put them. I have limited counter space so the George Foreman stays in the basement till I plan to grill (usually during cold weather), otherwise we use our deck grill. I use the toaster oven a lot but because of limited counter space I don’t have a toaster so the toaster oven does double duty.
Joyce, hope work yesterday was okay.
We dropped off the 7 boxes of books this morning. The drop off time was from 9 till noon. I was there right at 9 with 4 boxes. Since they were expecting a lot of books they said that they might not be able to take a lot from everyone, that is why I wanted to go early. Bill went about 5 minutes after I got home with 3 boxes of books, so they are finally out of the house, YEA!!! It is raining but not storming. After lunch I need to run the DW but other than that it is an easy day for me. We will leave about 3 for the concert.
