My new avatar is a picture my DGDs asked Debbie to take of us. I thought that was so sweet. Morgan is the farthest to the left and the youngest, her sister Maddie is the one with her arms around my shoulders and is the oldest and Maija is to the right.
This morning after getting the dogs I just have to get a few things as I don’t want to leave them too long once they are home. I told Fred I was defrosting a ribeye for dinner so wanted to pick up a 7 layer salad that is already made but also get a salad bag and combine them to make a nice size salad to go along with it. Might get a package of Hawaiian rolls as well.
It sure feels good to be sitting here with my coffee just relaxing knowing no very very long drive in the car or waiting to see what anyone plans for the day.

Sandy, think it is really hard for us to wait on others to make plans and let us know!! But I am getting better at it. Glad I am still a part of it!! Your new avatar is beautiful. Your Granddaughters and you do a very good picture, one to frame!!
The Headache is still there a bit and feel like I didn't get enough sleep but the Gas meter reader is coming "sometime" this morning. and wanted to be up and dressed. Meter is in basement and they check usually check it twice a year but has been awhile. Bet they are catching up with the covid shutting all that stuff down for quite awhile.
My lawn looks so good in the morning sun. My guy got stuck in the ditch a bit at the end of the road. He does 2 of us and the edges of another lady who does not want her kids to get stuck along the ditch. since all the rain they are precarious, His quick turn, did not turn!! just stuck and tipped a bit. But took awhile to get it unstuck. Not my property so I don't have to worry about fixing the edge . I am sure he will do it for her. Long as he was okay I was not standing around watching.
Couple phone calls to make today. But that is it for plans for me.
“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.” – Jim Rohn This is so true. Do you ever find yourself thinking ‘I wish summer would end and autumn would just GET HERE.’ Or you tell yourself that after X and Y happen, then you will have time to do something that makes you happy. Don’t do that to yourself. Don’t wish for time to disappear, and don’t base your happiness on passing certain milestones. Instead, create happiness every day. Trust me, come December or 20 years from now, you’ll be glad you took every opportunity to be happy.

Good morning!
This morning, I've been looking for an insert that was included in the Reader's Digest several years ago. It was at least four pages of colors, and they were labeled Summer, Spring, Winter, and Autumn. If we looked our best in several colors on one page, that was our "season." If you remember that process, please help! What was the name of that program? My forgetter is getting a lot better too!
Sandy, so very sorry things continued on the downslide and your vacation wasn't very relaxing. Where was your cabin? I didn't want to ask earlier with you away from home; but it did read like a nice place for a trip. The photograph is one your granddaughters will treasure always. Beautiful girls!
Lucy, my DMIL was a teacher in a one-room country school (in fact, in several). When she applied in the larger in-town school, they didn't giver her the years of experience that she certainly had. I can't help but wonder why school boards thought that teaching eight grades all subjects in one room wouldn't be enough to give the teachers the scale for teachers coming into the district from another "city" school! When she passed away at 102, we had so many of her students talking about how she helped them through their education. Just like the "memories" ghosting around that school in the cartoon. Oops! Better get off my soap-box! I apologize for the mistake in the number of rooms/grades you taught/attended at one time. My goof, and I'm sorry!
While searching the drawers in which I could have stashed that piece from RD, I've emptied two drawers in my chest-of-drawers. The contents are spread all over our bed.
Gotta go! Guy wants me to look at a dining table he saw somewhere. Have a great day! ~~Mollyann

DD will be here in about a half an hour. Everything is piled on the table. Bill dropped by before his doctor's appointment and we got in one game of rumicub. Gonna be 98 or 99 today. Feels like more than that with our humidity.
I am mostly an upbeat person. I used to be more upbeat than now, but I still laugh and smile alot.
The house is in pretty good shape. I don't like to come home to a mess. I need to vacuum but I have already had to put an icepack on my back so I will skip that chore.
Sandy, that is a great picture. I agree it needs to be framed.
Connie, thanks for the month of July. I will get home with one day left before I start August.
Kathie, I am glad you got rest.
Well, gotta get a tylenol in me for travel.
Laters. Have a great day.

HI, I am trying to get this room cleaned, need to stay off the computer.
my dear deceased sil ,did that test on me,said winter. nope I am more of a pastel ,fall color liking person.never been much of navy, black color type wearing person. not that I don't have a few of those colors.
remember hosea the guy on tv with a very long pony tail? his words were, "do not go by those charts, seasons, a woman should wear what she feels good in"
course I always felt that way,we know what looks good on us and if the color is right.. course now days it is so hard to shop with store closings and online pictures, do not always do the clothes justice.
sandy glad you are home and feeling peaceful with your cup of coffee .phyl

Hi!
DH and I are, as usual, hooked on watching the Olympics. Can't get much else done.
We got a call that DBIL will visit next weekend, so we've been busy getting the house in order for his stay. This is the youngest in the family, and when he comes to Oklahoma, he drives to meet about 8 different folks. We used to have a big family reunion, but we got older. Now, he makes the trips to visit each member of the sibling group.
Sandy, your photo is great! I agree -- it needs framing! I know you are happy to be home.
Lucy, DH spent the first years of his education in a one-room school, and he got a great beginning!
We had the breakfast pizza I made for breakfast this morning, and I am thinking of doing another recipe of it for the freezer. It is a little cooler today, so when I finish here , I think I'll go do that. Tomorrow I want to make more apple muffins, and then I'll put the starter back in the fridge. We've picked up the Monday grocery order and put it away. Today I got some romaine lettuce, and I cleaned it and separated the leaves and stored them in a baggie, ready for sandwiches or salad. We've been for our walk, and now are in for the day. Chili is in the crock pot (made yesterday) for dinner this evening, so time to play! Hugs! Diane

Connie, thank you for looking on the Web. I'm pretty sure it's Carole Jackson's Color Me Beautiful! book that I'm thinking of (the 1980s confirmed it).
I wonder if we change seasons as we age? Am I still a Spring? Who knows? My hair is silver. It was a chestnut brown back then. I guess I'll just have to work it out. I've ordered a book from Palmer/Pletsch about clothing designs for camoflaging a person's body's "flaws." I'll see what they say.
Phyl, I'm sure you do look pretty in pastels, and I agree that a person needs to wear clothing in which she feels comfortable and pretty.
Mmm. The bed is still "under the two-drawer-clutter," so I'd best get back to sorting. I hope to BBL! ~~Mollyann
PS: Guy and I had lunch at Bob Evan's after looking at the dining table. We didn't buy it.

Thank God Bobbie was here today because Jim totally messed the bed and Bobbie changed it all!.....And, Shana is a happy girl too. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow when Bobbie gets here to check out that poop thing and her scratching and not eating right. Jim had a nice bath today which was much needed. Had just 5 hrs. of sleep today so will try to get a little nap in later. That seems to help.
Sandy great picture. What beautiful grand daughters! Yes, enlarge and put picture on your wall!!!
See you all later for tuck in....
