This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc.) 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc. 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.) 5. Journaling/Self-Awareness--find a way to journal my thoughts and to think through challenges and opportunities
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good morning - WATERY Wednesday! Planning on water and seltzer for the trip to NY today. I did buy a couple of (not so healthy) snacks for the car ride - But lots of water, and walking on the agenda today! After the car ride we will be walking around the warehouse, and the casino/resort! Up at my usual time this morning - so I could have my quiet time and then get packed and out the door! I crashed last night - didn't do my dishes or even pack! Shouldn't take much to pack for an overnight. The dinner tonight is "business casual" so I'll take my usual work clothes. I do need closed toe shoes for the warehouse tour! No flip flops!
Yesterday was good - not tracked though! The work day got away from me, and then at home Tracy was helping me get my phone apps moved to my new tablet - so no tracking. Might go back today and track yesterday - it will give me something to do in the car!
We had wicked rains yesterday. Thankfully I had JUST gotten the groceries loaded in my car and headed up the mountain! Driving was SLOW going, couldn't see very well - but pulling over seemed more dangerous - it was a good 5 minutes of POUNDING HARD RAIN! UGH! I did sit for a few minutes on the back porch and just watch - and listen to the rain. The family had a good pool day. Tracy and Bob, and my sisters, and the 2 girls all enjoyed an afternoon in the pool! Thank goodness the rains held off.
OK Time to refill my coffee and catch up ♥♥

Sue: LOL Yes, most likely just the fact you are back to work was tiring - and no more sleeping "in"! YAY for the computer upgrade working well.
Gabrielle: Hope track went well for you. I didn't realize you are not back at the track yet. Glad you like where you all meet. Oh I hope the weather is good today too! The drive will just not be as nice in the rain! Thanks, yes it was just odd to feel like I should be DOING something!
LOL Enjoy your Friday morning sleeping in... I will be too! LOL I am working from home Friday! Hey I asked - she said sure! I got things DONE that NEED to be done IN the office!
So far so good! Tracy is all "connected" and we had my phone & tablet working together... and MAN that little updating thing was spinning SO FAST! Ken got on his computer, and I was on mine... so I don't even know how many things we had on line together, but none of us had an issue! Yes, I will give a good review. Still on the fence about the phone.
Jenny: YAY for DH getting you a bike!! I agree in your heat walking would be more of a challenge - good thing to exercise indoors when you can. Yes, I remember that HOT HUMID day walking in NYC! But such fun to meet you and Audrey ♥ Rome is in upstate NYI think it's almost a straight shot West of me. I have always thought I'd like to go to Salem in October - but UGH I hear of the crowds and the craziness, and think maybe not. I went a long LONG time ago, and don't even really remember much about it. Yes, the fact Tracy & Bob are doing so much outside stuff is good for both of them. Oh how I WISH the bank would do the part time/retirement. LOL I am SO READY! Since I am already 62 I would be enjoying PT work by now!

Oh I just looked out and saw a doe and her 2 fawns walking next to our driveway! They seem to go almost daily through our yard to the brook across the road - and back again. They are just so graceful - and pretty. Last week they were in the back yard - heading to the neighbor's apple tree!
OK Time to get myself moving here - I didn't get my dishes done last night either - so I'd like to get them done before we hit the road at 9!
♥hugs♥

Morning Carole and all yet to come....never made it back last night...had some errands to run after work...got a shower...organized 2 week of meds/supplements/vitamins (takes forever that's why I do it every 2 weeks) that way it's grab and go in the morning and not a matter of opening every bottle in the morning!! Then ate my corn that Jason had husked and left for me. By then, I had to email Jim regarding DM....apparently they are moving her to a skilled nursing facility today for rehab...I'm hoping Jim realizes that this is a better, safer option for her than the Waterford where she is now.
Any way...was up early, got the pork shoulder in the crockpot for dinner tonight and was in work by 6:00am. Already have 1/2 my 30 oz. tumbler gone.
Carole...safe travels today and enjoy the little get away to NY. I think it's today if I remember right?!?!
Will likely be MIA tonight, not sure how late Hannah's gang will stay so may just fall into bed when they leave...will be an early morning again tomorrow!
Drink that water ladies and have a great day!!

Good morning!
I have been a bit better about drinking water--will focus today. I can tell that I am dehydrated a lot....I run the fan at night to stay cool (year 7 of hot flashes) and it is worth it to get the sleep but I know that it dries me out even more. Thanks for the reminder! Tracked again yesterday--we had air fried egg rolls for dinner with asparagus. In the eggrolls was shrimp, shredded cabbage, carrots....DH likes them and it was a nice change from what we usually have during the week. Tonight I will probably make spaghetti but I will have zoodles.
Carole: Have a great drive! Hope that the weather got that terrible rain out of its system so that you can have clear skies. I love waiting to pack until the morning if it is just an overnight---it just seems to make the trip less of a "chore"! I am so glad that the two of you agreed to do this. And Friday working from home? Nice! This week is going a bit slow for me....kind of wishing that today was Thursday. I am gettiing things done though so I can't complain about that. I need to stop and admire the deer more often I think...they are pretty destructive to the trees here on the ranch and there are so many of them that I don't enjoy seeing them, but they really are beautiful, graceful animals. Thanks for the reminder Have a great trip and I look forward to the pictures---oh, and that is GREAT news about the broadband!
Sue: Have a good day--enjoy that visit with Hannah and the gang tonight (as though I need to say it, LOL). Glad that Jim can get "taste" of what it might be like for DM in the more restrictive environment...hopefully it will be what he needs to be convinced that it is right for her.
Jenny: How great to have a recumbant bike! The perfect option when it is too hot or too cold/rainy to go outside! I do enjoy watching things while on the treadmill--glad that you have that option on the bike. Hope that it POURS rain on those fires---unbelievable how bad it is in OR! When I was in MA years ago for the training (for work), we were there for almost two weeks and one of the places we visited was Salem (it was July though). They had a witch museum and we strolled around--glad that I did it. I hope that you get to go one year soon in October!
Hello to all who follow. Well, the mask restrictions are increasing by the day----I do hope that people comply and we can get this variant under control before we have to shut things down. I'm not even going to comment on the vaccine thing--so disappointing that more people didn't have the information that they needed to get it. I am feeling convinced that it wouldn't have mattered how it rolled out, they still wouldn't have gotten it. A woman at work shared a TERRIBLE story of her husband's hospitalization due to COVID (the variant). 14 days in the ICU, still can't breath well (4 weeks later), waking up all night long feeling like he can't breathe--- he refused to get the vaccine (she had it though). He was a healthy 50-year old. Hope that you all have a good day--glad that I know you all will be safer and vaccinated
