Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
One of my coworkers has a nasty cold so I’m going to work early today. Other coworker is on vacation so all that’s left is other cashier and myself. We’ll have a fun time today.
Ruth - hope you’re feeling better today. I so agree with Dottie that 2020/2021 took a toll on many of us.
Today’s temps are barely going to reach 70. It was so nice to wake up to a cool breeze this morning.
Obviously I’ll get nothing extra done today, but that’s ok. After work I think I’ll go to Target to get a new coffee maker. My Keurig is making noises and I don’t want another one. Hopefully it will last long enough for me to go through the rest of my K-cups.
Have a great day.

Joyce, it is cool here also, good sleeping weather. We needed to use our cover last night. I hope we have some more warm (but not terribly hot) days. Have fun at work today, always nice to work with someone you like.
Ruth, I hope it’s not too hot so that you can get Mara outside today. I noticed a new playground today that looks like it would be a lot of fun for my grands. When they were here in June it was too hot to go to the playground but they did enjoy the neighbors pool.
Martha, any progress with the CBing?
I did some grocery shopping this morning and also a load of L (never ends). Even though I slept good last night I think I might get a short nap in this afternoon. When the boys were little we would do height measurements twice a year on their birthday. Oldest DSs birthday is Dec 21st, youngest DSs birthday is June 22nd, so it was always a way to remember to check their height. We marked the date, initial and height on a door jamb in the basement. Since we thought we would like to bring it with us, Bill went out and picked up the wood that is needed to replace it. Since we still haven’t found anything there is no big rush but he will probably take off the wood we want to keep and replace it next week. I would like to measure the grands also, just haven’t started that yet.

Happy Friday (((hugs)))
Have been slowly getting cbing done. I've been grabbing a pile from the room and working on it in the living room, it's cooler. Mainly, sorting things - trash, recycle, need more time to go thru. (pictures, magazine articles, etc.) Spare room is looking better. You can tell where I have been working.
Today, weather to reach 100 today.
Joy - Hope your day at work went okay.
Dottie - That is a good memory to have - watching kids growing.
Ruth - Hope Mara is able to tire herself out playing in the water.
Have menus planned. Need to check cupboards, finish grocery list & look for e-coupons.
Have a great day! (((HUGS)))

Good evening ladies. I didn’t end up getting my massage yesterday, so still hurting some. Need to keep up my at home exercises and that will help some. My massage was scheduled for 2:00 and I got a call about noon telling me that Diane wouldn’t be in because someone in her household had tested positive for covid. Diane is vaccinated; but her daughter, sort of son-in-law, and their daughter who is almost 19 are not!!! The 3 of them went to his DGM’s funeral a week ago and the 19 year old was only one of 3 wearing masks. Then they got a call from the SIL’s DM saying that someone at the funeral had tested positive. Then he started not feeling well and got tested and was positive and now the other 2 have also. Diane is not pleased because she asked them to get vaccinated. And because the delta variant is so infectious, the state health dept said Diane needed to quarantine for 10 days also. She’s being tested regularly. So it will be the 9th before I get to see her again. Provided she doesn’t get it.
So we met Mara’s parents for dinner (outside) and brought her home last night. Air quality is too bad to let her play outside much so we didn’t even bother with her pool and water table. They have extended our air quality alert until next Tuesday afternoon. DD is hoping to get most of her long run in tomorrow morning early before it gets really bad and hot and then she can finish on the dreadmill if she needs to. Think I’m taking the girls to meet her at the shoe store during Mara’s nap time so she can pick out shoes for the girls for school. I have a discount there and coupons, etc. She wants to actually try shoes on them rather than just ordering online. And they will ship free if they don’t have the right size since I’m a member.
Dottie, one of our nephews (Carol’s one son) has met a gal who has 3 girls from a previous relationship and apparently their dad isn’t involved either. But the girls love our nephew. The girlfriend gave me a big hug at Carol’s celebration. She calls me the Facebook Aunt because I like a lot of those kids’ posts. Your son has great role models in his dad and brother on how to be a good parent. Do you like her?
Joy, hope you had a good day at work. Martha, those rooms take forever! But we do what we can.
Younger DD’s high school swim coach has his memorial service tomorrow morning but we have decided not to go. We don’t know any of his family; we have expressed our condolences and shared memories and pictures with his family; and both of us are just not ready for another funeral. It doesn’t appear to be broadcast like so many have been.
Ok, going to get Mara ready for bed in a bit. And the other 2 will go a bit later. Harps wants to watch the swimming and Sawyer has had it with all the Olympic coverage except for the rest of the gymnastics. That’s all she’s cared to watch. Which is surprising because she loves swimming too.
More tomorrow!
