So what are your Earth Day Plans? I am spending the day at the ball park. Both grandsons have a game. Then some grocery shopping. DH is out of town so I need to figure out a dinner for one. Then I'll probably watch the Cardinals baseball game
WI showed a 1.6# gain. Got up this am and it's gone! Should have waited a day. But to put things in perspective for me, I bought some new golf shorts 3 sizes smaller than 2 years ago.

Happy Earth Day! I actually remember being in college and participating in the first Earth Day! It's a bit rainy today so don't think they'll be much outdoor stuff here today. But in honor of Earth Day here are a few tips!
Turn off the lights every time you leave the room to save energy.
Unplug devices and turn off electronics when not in use.
Buy locally-grown produce to reduce your carbon footprint.
Try carpooling or public transport instead of driving, whenever you can.
Use reusable shopping bags.
Fix leaky taps and turn off water when not using it to conserve water.
Switch from disposable to reusable in order to reduce waste.
Recycle and reuse as much as you can.
Find a way to plant a tree in your neighbourhood.
Upgrade your appliances to energy-efficient ones when you have to - it'll save money in the long run.

Good morning! I got up at 3:45 a.m. to go to DD's house to watch DGD(10) while DD stood in line outside at the School District Outdoor Learning Center to sign up for special summer programs. DD was #51 in line. Some people got there at 2 a.m. They only take 300 people so DD felt happy to get the time and session she wanted for her 2 kids. The kids will participate in activities related to the outside including releasing homing pigeons from their homes and (hopefully) they will return to the Center. It's a very popular program so I'm glad I could help DD. The original plan was DGD was going to spend the night but she got sick yesterday with a bad virus and DD didn't want her at my house (thank you!) She was much better this morning when she woke so she is on the mend. DSIL was camping with DGS which was how I got involved in Plan B. I was able to take a nap on the sofa so I didn't miss out on too much sleep but it had been a long time since I was out at 4 a.m.! lmenglish I've had the same thing happen with my weight. It's like my body "knows" when it's WI day! pbnj Great list for Earth Day. So happy your DH has got your back! He's a keeper!

Good Afternoon All. Haven't been by much this week. Busy with work and catching up on life.
Happy Earth Day! Celebrating lmenglish and the 3 sizes down!
Walked in the rain to a pottery/art studio yard sale where they have seconds at amazing prices twice a year. Then headed around the corner to the farmer's market where they had the first strawberries of the season. Later walked to a plant sale at the home of George Washington's mom Mary. Nice to have historic places blocks away. I didn't see anything new to buy but it is a pretty garden.
Been puttering in the house cleaning, clearing, closet shopping and just hanging out.
Used some weekly points yesterday for a great dinner at a new authentic Italian restaurant downtown. Sooooo worth the points and sodium puff today. Yum! One of the servers was the dad of the chef and when I asked him about a caponata mixture that was served, he used his phone translator to tell me it was a chef secret! When he did later tell me some ingredients in Italian I understood a word or two from my grandfather's teaching me garden words as a child. Definitely a place to return often. I have to look up SP's for homemade gelato....didn't try it but will have to at some time.

I'm always late to the party.Curves and grocery shopping this morning.DH broke a water faucet last night when trying to get the worn water hose off it so we have been without water since 6:00 last night. He thinks he has it fixed and we are just waiting for it to dry. I will celebrate Earth Day by going for a short walk on this cooler and very windy afternoon. Great NSV lmenglish. Have a great Saturday all!

I'm IN.
Slept in this morning after a second late night. Went to the 10 AM WW meeting instead of the 8:30; sub-for-sub since our regular leader's planned sub woke with vertigo and "phoned a friend".
Toots had a 5 PM church gig and suggested that I go outfit-shopping when he left at 3:30. I did, and left the mall at 6:15, SUCCESSFUL in my search for something suitable for a 60th-wedding-anniversary party on May 6th. Now I need shoes (but I need new "dressy" black sandals anyway, LOL).
I hope everyone's had a healthy-eating day; mine has been.
