It's a beautiful day here today on Long Island. The same bright blue sky it was 20 years ago.

I was more interested in the coverage yesterday with interviews of a lot of journalists who were on air when it happened. Yes, one fellow remarked he never remembered a more perfect, crystal clear day in New York City that morning before it all happened.

Yes, it was a beautiful day. My niece and nephew were to fly into NYC, one from Los Angeles, and one from Seattle. When they closed the air space over the country I called and told them their trip was cancelled. They were shocked to hear the news.

It's annoying me that someone in our neighborhood is having some kind of celebration today. Loud music has been playing all day. I'm calling it music but it's basically noise. I can't understand the language and that's ok.
Men are singing/screaming loudly with the music. It's almost 8PM and it's still going on.
Today is not a day to celebrate. They might have had their celebration planned for a long time. That doesn't sit well with me either. Unless, they're ignorant fools or something worse, they must know this day, this date, is not a day to party here in the US.
Thanks for listening to my vent.
Comfort, peace, and hugs to all!
