Do you judge people as a person based on their weight? Do you judge yourself based on your weight?

I probably have/maybe do now, thin and overweight/obese. With the people I see that are really slender/thin, I sometimes think that they must be naturally slim and don't have eating problems. I don't judge people that are overweight/obese because now I know it isn't simple to lose weight and some people have very complicated situations when it comes to their weight.

I try not to judge people based on their weight but I do notice if someone is severely overweight and I recognize how difficult movement must be for that person and what health complications may exist. I do judge myself about my weight but I also try to show self love and celebrate fitness.

I find myself constantly defending people when I hear comments about people who are over weight at the supermarket. We don’t know their story. All we see is the person, sometimes in a motorized cart, with a basket full of processed, sugary foods and beverages. Just because we have gotten to the point where we are willing. and sometimes able, to address our weight management issues, doesn’t mean that we can judge others. Everyone gets there in their own time, or not at all.
Mr. luvvinlife is having a day of reckoning. He is diabetic and at a healthy weight but his Dr. suggested that if he loses a few pounds his blood sugar could possibly be more stable. It been a real struggle for him as he ages. He used to think weight management was “just a matter of self-discipline”.

Do you judge people as a person based on their weight? * I think we used to judge people more on their weight years ago, I say this because in my early years of teaching I usually only had one obese student who attracted a lot of unwanted attention but as the years went by that number of obese students increased. I try not to judge people on their weight because I know I've been there, done that and didn't like being judged when I was overweight.
Do you judge yourself based on your weight? * I do judge myself on my weight because I like how I feel when I'm at goal. It's always been really important to me to keep the weight off for many reasons such as health, how clothes fit, feel better to name a few.

I used to judge people on their weight, but now I feel compassion and also it's none of my business why they weigh what they do. I do worry about their health and putting strain on the health care industry, if they are extremely obese, especially if they are older.
I probably do judge myself too much on my weight, but it helps to keep me at a healthy weight, so there you are.

I don't judge others on weight...though it does go through my mind from time to time about their weight...have they gained or lost, why that might be, etc...but I don't "judge" them as people and will call others on negative body comments made about others. As for myself...I tend to like myself at any weight BUT like being in my skin and find it easier to get around and live when my weight is lower than when it is higher. More "bendy in the middle"
