This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Hi Everyone, Yesterday wasnt too bad overall. The child who has Autism went home after lunch so didnt have to struggle to get him to lay down and go to sleep. Hurray! I had 3 for extended care. The one girl who has/ had been really fresh and not cooperating has been warming up to me and is doing better. Leaving in a while to go to the exhibit. My sister and I are taking the elevated train there from the station. Once we get on it is at the other end of the line. I havent been that far in ages. Then we'll take it back unless there is room in my other sister's car or if they are coming seperate maybe with my nephew/s and his girlfriend. Other than that, this weekend have to work on my plan as I didnt get to it this week. Ugh! Have a great day whatever you do!

Good morning, ROs, Lora, the 2 trucks look so cute in your arrangement! What a guy! How sweet that he was thinking of you and knew just what you wanted The wings sound so good. Perfect for a nice afternoon of football. I was thinking about my laptop that started doing those shenanigans....I LOVED that laptop, too. It ended up being the motherboard, and eventually crashed completely, and I lost everything on there. I hope that isn't what is going on with yours. The BSOD always makes me think there is impending doom! HA! Jana, I hope your warranty people step up. I really like my home warranty company. They will try to fix things before replacing, but they never question the repair person's assessments. I use whoever they send to do the repairs, because they will keep sending them at no extra charge until the problem is resolved, if it continues to have a issues. They have replaced my ancient forced air oil furnace, air handler to the upstairs heat pump, my stove, my dryer, ceiling fans, and more. By the way, I saw you were wondering about pruning azaleas...you only want to prune them in the spring as soon as they have finished blooming. They set their flower buds for next year after the flowers fade. If you prune it before it blooms again, it won't bloom. I hope you get some hammock time in today, and have fun planting your flowers! And happy birthday (a little late)! Susie, I just hate losing power! You never know how long it is going to last, and it is something you just can't anticipate. I am glad it came back on. I have one of those lights that go around your neck! I use it for cross-stitching and it is really handy. I hope you have a fun Saturday! Janet, I can't wait to hear about the exhibit. I love that the little girl is warming up to you. She must see something special in you that makes her comfortable. Have a good time today! I have been fighting a tight back all week. Just muscular, but it got so bad yesterday that I left work a couple of hours early. I wasn't working with a doctor, so it didn't affect anyone. I put in some time on the inversion table and it feels better this morning. I can't do any mowing, because my rider is now in the shop and my push mower is too old and feeble to handle much more than the trim I usually do. But I plan on being outside as much as possible....it is a gorgeous, cool, bright morning and the temps are going to be in the mid to upper 70's. YDD went to Philadelphia for the weekend, so my grandpup is here! He has the same play style as my little pittie girl, and they are just in constant motion, rolling and tumbling and fake growling! I am being lazy this morning and enjoying some really good coffee and have the windows opened to let the outside in. I will be back later, but just wanted to wish everyone a good day, and waving to all, RobinMD

Hi Everyone...I don't know if increasing the migraine meds is making me sleepier, but I went to bed earlier last night and went right to sleep and slept....awakened for just a bit to rub some Voltaren on my shoulder, but was right back to sleep. I went to the Bocce Ball tournament and (low and behold, the partner with whom I was paired and I won the first round). I was sure I would lose and be out early and could be off to DGS's soccer game - ha. We lost the second round, but it was nice not to lose right from the start; I just hope DS was not disappointed that I did not show up for the soccer game. It was so chilly this morning that I actually put on a long sleeved sweater and a jacket, but by the time we finished, I had ditched the jacket and was HOT in my long sleeved sweater. At 4:30 we have a BBQ and BlueGrass event at the clubhouse, and so far tomorrow I have NOTHING.
Lora - How nice for Mark to surprise you with the red truck - they look so cute together !!
Jana - Oh darn, sorry that a decision about the fridge is still in the wings...nothing is easy is it?? I am so happy that you have some new plants and are ready to work in the freshly weeded garden area though...that should put a smile on your face.
Janet - I think it would just be nice to get on the train and sit and read/whatever and just ride to the end of the line. Enjoy the exhibit once you get there.
RobinMD - You are right about it being a gorgeous day. I am headed outside as soon as I finish this post. Every time you mention that inversion table I think that would be so cool to get on. I would just like to see how it would feel. I like the idea of it stretching my body out. I think we have such a tendency to stoop as we get older and I think it would feel really good.
Ok... off I go back outside...

Hi again, The Van Gogh Immersion Experience was good. There really wasnt much in the hall once you got in. Then you walk into this real big room and it is darkened and there are lights all over and soft music playing. There were rugs and chairs that people were laying on or benches to sit on. This where people stayed a long time in there while images of his paintings formed on the walls all around us. Then when they came out if they wanted to color on these images of his paintings they could and do a scan of it when they were finished they could.
It was just my sisters and myself so after we walked to my sister's car and she drove into the city.. The place with the food court didnt have much to offer so we walked to this restaurant that my other sister went to last weekend with her friend. We ate outside. They close the street and a bunch of restaurants were also serving outside. We were all full so didnt feel like having ice cream afterwards. It was a beautiful day.
When I came home I decided to go do my food shopping. Tommorow I have a zoom with my family and my lesson plan to work on before the zoom.. I could really skip the zoom as it doesnt really interest me all that much..Since I will be at my sister's it may be hard for both of us to be on so may just say hi and get off. [b
Susie, glad that you won the 1st game of the tournament and didnt have to drop out but sorry you missed your gs's game tho. Have a restful night.
