Good morning friends. Slept well and long and oh so grateful for that. We have our work cut out for us. Today is the day that the closet switcheroo will happen. Will be spending the day doing a boatload of laundry.
That being said...if I don't return to the cafe you'll know why
Pam happy you and Debbie got your 3 mile walk in. It's so relaxing to walk and chat. Aww poor Madison. Praying that all will be well with Leah. Nice you got some reading in.
Wishing all a peaceful fun and OP day.

Hi all,
Good for you for switching up the wardrobe and closets. You'll be ready to face the new season!
I started the day off early with a trip to Lowe's to get under-counter lights we couldn't get at Lowe's at the Cape. D&D enjoyed the ride. Then I stopped in a couple stores to poke around for a few minutes since the chamber-maid was in our room cleaning.
I am excited for a luncheon gathering planned for tomorrow. There are now 8 of us I have contacted to have lunch under a tent on campus. Three of them are retirees and my peers! It all started when one of them called me to see if I wanted to do lunch since she is coming back to help out our marketing department part-time. This is the "old gang" back together and I know it'll be fun - even for an hour or so. We'll grab lunch in the cafeteria.
Back to work for a bit.
Sue, thank for the Skechers info. I found one pair of slip ons but I think I am going to return them because I need more support. You know you are getting old when your shoes are no longer stylish! lol No more pointy toed heels and shoes for me for sure! It's all about arch supports, rounded toes and room for a bunion. Ha ha

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday! We have a very cool, grey rainy day here. But the overnight temps were mild and we were able to sleep with the windows open. I am skipping the Fitness Studio class again this morning. DH's truck didn't get finished yesterday, so we are still sharing a vehicle, and it is just too close a time schedule getting from class to school and I wasn't up to the extra stress/anxiety this morning.
LATER ......
I started this note earlier and then had to rush off to school. I just got home and realized that I hadn't finished writing, let alone posted. Anyway, we're still waiting on DH's truck, so he drove me to school and picked me up. Meanwhile, the mechanic had taken the truck to a specialist who says he has diagnosed the problem and it is an easy fix. Last I heard it is supposed to be ready this evening. I certainly hope this is the case!!
Since I got home I have been on the phone with Sirius XM transferring my contract to my new car. I already have the 3 month free subscription, plus 10 1/2 months prepaid for the year. So, of course, that made a huge confusion for the young fellow helping me (for whom English is not a first language). Then I discovered that my Alexa was no longer receiving a Sirius XM signal, so I had to disable the skill and then re-enable it, and sign back in. Fortunately it worked then, so I didn't have to call back.
Today was my first day with my new car and DH had it all day. It is exactly the same inside as the one I turned in. I got a new 2021 Chevrolet Trax (traded up from a 2019). The old one was a steel grey which I tired of quickly; but the new one is Crimson Metallic and I absolutely LOVE it!! It also has an extra "sports package" which includes black wheels and black bowties front and back and other trim. I also learned some new things about door settings, etc., as well as Apple Car Play. Too much fun!!
We are going in for our Pfizer boosters & flu shots in a little while. I just got a text from our pharmacy about DH's shots (but not mine). I ended up calling them and was able to answer all the questions on the phone and got us all set up (though I thought we already were). Oh well ....
I have chopped a salad and have two cooked chicken breasts to top them with. So when we get back here we'll be all ready to eat. When I got home from school I had a Clementine for lunch.
Ann ~ Yay on getting the switcheroo done! AND the laundry!! Take care of you!
Judy ~ I know exactly what you mean about the shoes. Our "style" does change over the years. I also need sufficient support in my shoes and luckily Skechers do it for me.
Pam ~ Yay for getting the toilet fixed. Isn't it always the way? The smallest thing can be so aggravating. How kind of the plumber to take the time and share his expertise.
I am expecting DH home shortly to get ready. I have changed into a very short-sleeved T-shirt and put a zip-up hoodie over top. It is still mid-60's and damp and dreary outside. I was chilly today so wore a cute top with a long sweater over it. I figured if it was too warm in the building I could take it off, but I never needed to.
Have a wonderful evening!!

Sue, Crimson sounds pretty! Your other car sounded pretty new to me but I hear this market is a good one for used cars. Our DDIL did something similar and sold her used car for just about what she paid for it.
We had a scare with Daisy tonight. She had a seizure that lasted about a minute with her head shaking and eyes wobbly. She seemed to snap out of it quickly and is totally fine now but I’ll call the vet tomorrow. This breed is known to have epileptic petite mall seizures but Daisy’s been so healthy. She just had a great check up last week and a couple of shots. The seizures could be brought on by the shots. We also had a fire alarm go off in the hotel today and that drove her batty. She completely panics with the noise and the lights flashing. It doesn’t bother Doug like that but Daisy is the one who jumped right through the screen window with the smoke detector at home. These little dogs are always a worry, aren’t they? They are family members.
Pam, I have your book The Nickel Boys to start soon on my Kindle.
Night all!
