Good morning.
54 and hazy, with sun coming later this morning, high to 72. Rain tomorrow.
Marsha, I was going to bring something, for the football game, but it was so humid and warm in the apartment, I didn't. And of course that was a mistake. Then last night, for soccer, I dressed warm, and yep, no wind at all, and we were sitting in the sun. Fall, you gotta love the differences everyday!
Yes, I am shocked when I think of it being a year. I remember though, I was worried, as I did not want him passing away on DD2 wedding anniversary, which is tomorrow, so I was actually happy when he held on until 2 am, on the 8th.
Thank you for the tip on the job opening. I try not to concentrate on serious things in the evening, that is why I told you I would look at it this morning.
Gareth, sorry about your internet. The day FB went down, earlier that morning I had been on my phone, with walking I was listening to my playlist. Then I went into my apps on my phone, to check how many steps I used, and my phone was not connected to WI FI. So I worked on that, with rebooting the router, and of course turning off my phone and turning it back on. This went on for a little while. Then my phone worked, but then noticed I could not get into IG. Now what was wrong?? So of course I was trying all sorts of apps, some worked, some didn't. I finally went to Google and sure enough, FB and all of it's apps were down. Just really weird, how first it was my phone, then the giant fell, lol. So that teaches us every so often how dependent we are on our devices. I have to say, I thought it was interesting to find other things to do, without my phone, till it was time to go to the football game.
Thank you for the book recommendation.
Pinky....HI!!!! lol.
Robin, aw, I am sorry Maddie had an ear infection. Doctor Robin knew that though, didn't she?!!! If only our kids would listen to us, right? Is your DDIL going to get her into modeling at all?
I am staying away from retail, as we all know those hours would be more crazy. If I go into a store situation, I will just go back to the grocery store I worked at. But not sure about that. I do not have to rush into anything, so I can be more choosey.
How are you feeling? Do feel like you are getting more strength back?
Carol, a few years ago we started going to estate sales, and I thought it was pretty neat. I like the fact that someone comes in, looks everything over and prices it accordingly. Then runs the sale. The only bad thing is you have to be out of your house that whole time. It drove us nuts when we had the house for sale and the realtor was showing the house, so we had to be out of it. One time it happened around the time I was getting done working after a long shift, and all I wanted to do was go home. Sure enough, that was the night we got 2 offers, so of course I changed my tune! I even brought out a good bottle of wine, for the realtor and I to celebrate!! (DH did not care for wine)
I too, when I think about it, am shocked that this past year went by so fast. Remember when we were kids, we thought time just dragged!!
Anngie, I have to admit, I am not real interested in working with kids. Just not in that frame of mind. Maybe if I had gotten in to it right after I retired. Thanks for the tip though.
Thank you, now that you bring it to my attention, I remember last winter, and between the lingering affects of Covid, and getting used to being alone, I guess I have come a long way since last fall.
I agree about the least amount of money spent before selling the condo, the better. That is what our Realtor said too. The most important things are to have the place clean, and to minimize things, such as get rid of photos, any clutter, that sort of thing.
Well DGD soccer is done for the season, I am so happy that she loved it! This was her first time playing soccer, and I think she did pretty good. We have just 2 more football games for DGS, then that is done. I guess he is going to spend winter with the football team going to the weight room at school 3 days a week to condition.
Guess what time of the week it is?? Lol, yep! Apartment cleaning day!!! And I need to run to the store for fruit and vegies. Need to stock up for when the kids are here, starting Friday. So I guess I better get a move on, to do the running first, then the cleaning.
Have a nice day everyone.
