My two biggest changes when I started WW was not bringing sweets into the house, and starting to eat fruits and veggies again. A psych med I was put on took away my appetite for fruits and veggies so I had to reteach myself to eat them. Not bringing the sweets home was a big help.

What were the biggest changes to your eating when you started Weight Watchers? * Giving up all the sugar and junk food. * Eating three meals a day instead of eating only supper. * Eating much healthier, more whole foods. The above eating on Weight Watchers, what it was called back then in 1964, led to a forty pound weight loss, I looked and felt so much better when I got down to goal!

It was in 1984 so...big changes. I followed the exchange plan so: tracking, counting, using the exchange method, cooking differently for myself than for my children, increasing water intake, figuring out how to eat out and stay OP...a lot...then the next change was points...

Accountability. Acknowledging exactly what I was eating. I formally signed up for WW many years ago and lost 16 pounds to get to goal but didn’t stay with it and understand how important maintenance needs to be lifelong.

I can’t remember the last time I ate until I was stuffed. I rarely have more than one serving of anything other than fruits, vegetables and protein.

Weighing and measuring. I first did WW in 1972.
