Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. Think I was sleepwalking to bed last night LOL. Today will be more of the same. At least the 'to do' list is getting shorter
Judy happy to hear that Daisy is doing better.
Tonight we are having sirloin strip steak a crusty roll and corn. Carb city but that's okay. I need energy
Waving and shall CBL

Hi Ann and friends,
I’m off for a full day of work later. Busy day ahead and I keep my fingers crossed that all will be good with Doug and Daisy.
We picked up Panera for dinner last night. I had a cup of tomato soup and a roll which was yummy. I saved my half Cobb salad for lunch today as I was full after soup and bread. I really love soup and this reminded me to incorporate it more into my diet and especially for light dinners.
Daisy seems to be doing really well after her a little incident. I haven’t heard from her vet yet so hope to hear something today just to make sure we don’t need to get her on a medication. I have a feeling they’ll wait before they do that.
Have a great day everyone. I’ll be back later.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Once again I am dashing out the door, but wanted to stop in and say "hello". Yesterday I was punky in the morning, but by the time I got home in the afternoon, I had full blown chills. Even turned on the heat in my car driving home. I came home and donned fluffy sweat pants and shirt and curled up in my chair. I am hoping today is better.
We had cubed steaks (done in the Crock Pot) for supper and plan on a big salad with grilled salmon tonight.
Ann ~ Thanks for the reminder about carbs and energy. Our bodies are so good to tell us also. When I asked DH what he wanted for breakfast he answered "oatmeal with blueberries and toast". So we have had our grains for today and I suspect it will serve us well. We are still both a bit punky feeling and achy here and there. Nothing worth staying home for.
Judy ~ I do hope you news about Daisy is all good news.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue I hope you are not coming down with any of the 'nasties'. I know what you mean by feeling off but not off enough to stay put. The chills are the worse!
We are one and done with the chores for today. Tomorrow...the beat goes on.
Now it's time to RELAX.

Sue, my DH had the full blown chills or "shivers" as he called them after his booster. It only lasted less than a day so I hope yours is gone soon, too. He turned on the heat in the hotel, too! Usually he likes it downright arctic, but so do I so it works out.
I had a healthy lunch today from the cafeteria of baked chicken, a small baked potato (she asked if I wanted two - noooo!) and roasted veggies. Tasty and I went to the station that caters to allergy free foods. It looked like my best choice but I can get virtually anything including kosher which is often really fresh, too. College food has really come up in the world with sushi, pasta stations, burgers, huge salad bars, etc. I bought a returnable container for $5 and then I can fill it and bring it back to my desk to eat. I rinsed it and I bring it back for a new one next time - one time charge. I have a meal plan with about 10 more meals so that's good. Dinner will be very light for me. Soup sounds good or my Cobb salad which I saved.
We had a heavy duty work meeting tomorrow. We have a new President and as is often the case, things change. Fine for me since I think I am somewhat of a short timer at this stage.
TTFN...have a great day.
Sue, feel better and Ann, have a great day! I am not a pea soup fan, either but I do love creamy soups like broccoli cheddar - of course I do! :-)

Hi All ~
I am home from school so my weekend is officially beginning.
Ann ~ I am not getting sick .... my malady is the side effects of our COVID booster + flu shot on Tuesday afternoon. I am feeling considerably better today than yesterday at this time. The chills have gone away though I am still a bit tired. I suspect I see a nap in my future.
Judy ~ Your meals sound delightful! I know the feeling with your new President. We have a new principal at our school and she does everything entirely differently than before. It is hard to keep up.
Apparently I am odd man out in that I love split pea soup! I make it for my DH whenever we have a ham bone. I know it is not a favorite of many people, but he and I really enjoy it. Speaking of soup, it must be time for me to buy some chopped butternut squash to make soup with that as well.
Time to rest. I'll check back later.

Thanks for the explanation, Sue. Happy that it was from the shots. My only complaint from both are the bruising. I was a little tired and for some reason same as the first two shots VERY thirsty. Yeah to your weekend beginning. I bet that puts a HUGE on your face! Judy your meal sounded both delicious and healthy. KOKO girlfriend I like things cool/cold...Carl on the other hand likes it warmer. Oh well...we DO find that 'happy medium' I am happy to be one and done for today. Got to check of more on the 'to do' list and when that was accomplished I wanted to give out my Carol Burnett Tarzan yell LOL. Tomorrow we'll be back at it. All through cleaning, I kept having to take my glasses off to clean them. Finally Carl looked at them and told me the reason why I wasn't seeing well is because the glasses were scratched. I looked at them and finally saw what he pointed out. I found the receipt and we took a ride out to Walmart where I got them. They were still under warranty and said they would send them back to replace it. She said it was the coating that was flaking off. It happens if you leave glasses in the car during extreme heat which I never do or sometimes it will happen when having them adjusted as they put them under heat. Then she said or it could just be a fluke...in any case they will replace it free of charge. I was a VERY happy camper. They will call when they are ready. Now I am ready to sit and relax. I've more than earned that privilege. Talk tomorrow. Sweet dreams all.

Hi everybody,
Just a quick note before I hit the hay. Ann, I’m very impressed that Kyle notice the scratches in your glasses! That’s quite a guy you have there! 😀 I’m glad they are fixing them for you and even better that it won’t cost anything!
Sue, my parents loved pea soup. I’ll have to give it another try. I love black bean soup and I love other cream soups like tomato from Panera. I had a bowl of that tonight with a crusty roll. That was really plenty for me after my big lunch. The good thing is I’m not snacking at night the. We have no ice cream here in the hotel fridge but I do have a chocolate chip cookie with milk for my snack. I like the Pepperidge farm chocolate chips and one or two does the trick.
I’m off to bed.. See you all tomorrow

Hello!
It's your long-lost WW pal here, lol. I have been really busy during the past few days and too tired in the evenings to post. To summarize, Debbie and I walked Tuesday and Wednesday, plus I spent time weeding the garden both days, so I got plenty of exercise. DH had his last hyperbaric treatment yesterday and got his cast off afterwards. Today we saw the surgeon, got blood work, etc. and tomorrow, he will remove the excess tissue and "clean up" the wound, which he agrees with the wound care doctor, will allow it to finally close up.
I had a therapy appointment in BTR Tuesday, which went well. She always helps me clarify my thinking and gives me positive reinforcement for things I think I should be doing, but feel unsure about. I have another appointment scheduled for late in the month, which we may cancel and another in November, if I need it. So much depends upon what happens with DH's foot.
Last night, I didn't sleep well, waking at 3:30 AM worrying about DH's appt. with the surgeon and the three big boxes of kids clothes and shoes I needed to get from the house to the pickup and then from the pickup into the UPS office. I never could get back to sleep and at 5:00 I gave up and got up. Two of the three boxes were so heavy I could barely lift them enough to get them onto a dolly to wheel them around. DH helped lift them in and out of the pickup and we got them to UPS after his appt. and blood work were taken care of. Then we got groceries and came home. I had not had time for breakfast, so I was starving. I had a light English muffin with ham & cheese and a bowl of blackberries, yogurt and muesli.
This afternoon I ran an errand in town and then went to 5:00 PM Mass and a Catholic Daughter meeting afterwards. I was supposed to make a hospice visit, but my supervisor called to say the facility is closed to visitors due to a positive Covid case. Such a shame! The patients were all vaccinated, but not all the staff, so they keep having infections and quarantines.
DH cooked hamburgers and sweet potato waffle fries for our dinner. Now, we're both winding down and getting ready to head to bed. We have to leave by 6:00 AM to get him to the hospital for his procedure. They are only using a local anesthetic, so hopefully we will be home well before lunchtime.
Well, my current book, Get a Life, Chloe Brown, is light and funny, but OMG--the steamy sex! After reading the first scene, I have flipped through the rest. I'm not a prude, but for goodness sake! The author leaves NOTHING to the imagination and describes every little detail. I enjoy a romantic scene, but this is over the top.
Have a good night and please whisper a prayer for my DH!
