This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc. 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc. 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.)
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW Keto Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself 2. Move by getting my kayak on the water at least one day per week... it will be more as the weather warms. 3. Stick to my intermittent fasting schedule. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good morning and happy Thursday!
Almost there folks....we can do it. This is a reminder to keep on top of the hydration today (and everyday)...it's amazing how, when you read about different ailments, hydration is often one of the factors in terms of feeling better. Even as it cools off---let's stay on top of it. I am finding that I do better if the water is right there in my office. I am fooling myself if I think that I will have multiple opportunities during the day to go over to the water cooler (in another building) and refill a bottle...in our current world of Zoom, the meetings are back-to-back...it just doesn't happen. So, focusing more on having it right there. For those who asked, yes, I did meet my goal on the half marathon! Not by a lot---first half was a 1:05, second was a 1:01, but this was a big win for me since I usually fade on the second half so proud of that. I am running the Golden Gate Half the first weekend in November with a group of girlfriends (we are spending the night in SF before--fun trip!) and I think I will focus more on the time on that one---even though it will be kind of hilly.
I had a good day yesterday in terms of tracking...not quite as much water as I would have liked, but good otherwise. Today will be better on the water front.
Carole: How did it go at the office yesterday? Hoping that it all went smoothly and your computer, etc. work fine. If not, I am sure it will get figured out.
Sue: Yay for less overtime. Oh, so sorry for your friend who has COVID! Glad that it isn't a serious case. When I read stories of younger parents dying from it who refused the vaccine, I often wonder if they tell their spouse to get it (as they suffer)---so sad. I do hope that she continues to feel not too bad and doesn't have the lingering effects of it. I do have to say, sports are one area where I am glad that I live on the West coast....Superbowl, World Series, playoffs---we get the earlier times out here. We watched the Red Sox and Yankees---Red Sox had it nailed for most of the game (I am a softy for the Sox). I wish I had seen last night's game--sounds like it was exciting. So glad that you have Dutch Apple on the horizon! Hope that you have a good day today and good job on the food choices!
Jenny: So glad that the MRI is scheduled and, yes, we will figure it out. I am glad to have you to travel with And yes, LAX can be a zoo! When I fly to Southern CA I usually fly into Burbank for less crowds. Hope that Audrey is feeling on top of things (it's a big change I know!)--I am sure that she will figure it all out.
Okay, need to head out for our run. Have a good day ladies!

Good morning Gabrielle - and Sue - Thanks for getting us started this morning. Supposed to be a nice day here, but right now it is foggy and GREY out there
I WORKED IT WEDNESDAY, almost 6k steps! I also got my water - and tracked the whole day!! I was "over" but it's tracked!! Baby Steps
I will work on my THIRSTY Thursday today - but it shouldn't be too much of a struggle. Chicken fajita (salad) for dinner - just need to watch the carbs! Who KNEW a salad would be so high in carbs! UGH! Anyway... need to use up the jar salads and then figure out how to make a healthier salad going forward!
NO - I am fine with Oak Island - if one of those places work out. It does seem odd that me flying from here costs the same as you gals flying from CA! But it is what it is - no I cannot drive... it will be fine, I am ready to book - but - want a house secured first. Ken and I talked about it last night - and we agreed I cannot drive. We'd both worry if anything happened, even something as simple as a flat tire - I'd be by myself - waiting for AAA - potentially in the middle of the night - on a major highway... yeah, just not a smart choice. Anyway... once we know the house is reserved, and what the cost is - I will figure out a flight.
Would the following Sunday - December 12 be better for you?? I just messaged the painter - so nothing is set in stone. I was thinking a snowman, that way it could be displayed all winter? not just Christmas? Thoughts everyone?
I have to bring up my salad again and check it out - I just know it all adds up!
Jenny: Glad you have the MRI scheduled, it will be good to get answers. I baked brownies last week too... I haven't eaten a lot of them, I do enjoy baking but, UGH the cleanup and then the food to eat!
LOL Yes, Ken is going to take over checking flights for me - he has more patience for that then I do. I have to admit to still being a little anxious about traveling alone!
Sue: Glad you had a fun morning of OT! Must make the time go by faster. Yes, I need to focus on water (again) today... I do it when I set my mind to it - even home!
I have no clue about our local water table, but I have to believe we are fine there!! Oh my car was simple oil change - and new wiper blades. Oh and I had noticed Saturday that my driver side mirror is broken! Of course they have to order the parts - so in a week or so, I'll have to take it back in for that to be fixed. Inspection is November, so it has to be fixed by then (I think). That's $290.00 parts and labor!
I'll be back later - just realized the time!

Well I thought I'd be back today...what a day! Oh I WISH SW would add Wilmington - Ken is thinking SW to Baltimore, then another airline from there... that's where I lose interest! LOL
Oh No! Sorry your friend has Covid... do you know her reasoning for NOT being vaccinated?? Glad you will get a chance to voice your opinions about Tonya to Mark.
Hope your sleep was better last night with no game to watch.
Thirsty Thursday - Ready to put my tea kettle on - before I head out to see the Space Station overhead. Have you thought of bringing a case of water to the office? Then you'd have it there all day. OR tell the school you need a water dispenser in your office for your team!
YAY for meeting your goal on the 1/2 last week!! WOO HOO for a trip to SF and another 1/2!
Oops, gotta go... time to watch for the ISS! ♥hugs♥
