Good morning.
Cloudy, chance of scattered rain showers all day, with it going to 71.
Gareth, are you supposed to get rain also?
Glad you got your internet back, but do you notice, once it goes out, you find other things to do, so it really is no big deal that it is gone?
We are all looking forward to your report on your doctor visit yesterday. I hope it was good news, somehow.
Today is the day, last year, that they let me into the hospital, to sit with DH for all those hours. I think that was the longest day/night of my life. My one regret is that between me and his nurse, we could not wake him up to say good bye.
Marsha, lol, I did not get any walking in yesterday, either. Did cleaning, and for the heck of it, I wore my phone, to see how many steps I got. Total steps for all of that was 7,121! But I was doing things like giving my bedroom a deep cleaning, like moving my bed out from the wall, to vacuum where I usually don't, things like that. So house work can give us a good workout!!!
I have kept a lawn chair in the back of the jeep for the soccer games, so this weekend I will take that out and throw a rug and blanket in there for the next football game, thanks for the tip!!
Are you a total vegan?
Robin, that is smart of your DDIL to not get Maddie into modeling. I am sure it would be crazy, from everything we have heard about that.
I think you are hitting the nail on the head, with redoing before selling. Plus, our Realtor had said, when redoing right before listing your property for sale, you are taking a chance on doing it how you would want it, not what the buyers are looking for, so you take a chance on loosing potential buyers, and stuck all that money into the property. Some things, like floors, and painting are better left to the buyers, and could be used in the selling price, which buyers like to do.
Pinky, thank you, as you all point out, I guess this year has been a huge learning and growing experience for me. I would have never thought, at age 66/67, I would come out of one of the worst years (2020) of all of our lives, living alone, along with my DD, and actually be in a happy place, in my mind.
Yes, for sure, kids need outside activities, especially these days, what with the internet, which keeps some kids inside, doing nothing but video games etc. Lol, believe it or not, there are still a few things I need to do today, to have all the cleaning done. Then I will be happy, tomorrow, when the kids come.
Have a wonderful day today!!
Carol, you and me both, with reading those kind of books. On 9/11 this past September, which was on a Saturday, all afternoon, I was glued to the TV, with all the anniversary shows on about it, but that whole time I was blubbering away. I can not read books about it, as it would be too hard to read, while crying.
So sorry for your acquaintance, loosing their grandson. I hate reading about those accidents, as usually they are driving them, which I personally do not think they should be allowed to do.
Anngie, great idea about the lacrosse, I will mention that to DGS, unless that would interfere with spring football clinics or whatever.
I agree about the Nature of Fragile Things. I love books that are based in American history, especially stories around things like the big earthquake, in CA. When we took DD out to CA for school, we went in Sept of 94. There was a big earthquake there, if I am not mistaken around spring of that year, so I was hoping to see some of the damage, like the highway, but we never did go in those areas. Of course back then there was no Google, to find out exactly how to get there, so we just didn't bother trying to find out how to look for them.
Like I mentioned, I was able to get a lot of that kind of cleaning that isn't done weekly, so I did get a lot of steps in. Today I just have to clean the bathrooms, and I guess I need to sweep the hall downstairs, where the doors to the garage and the front or back door is.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
