Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. Today more 'chores' shall be crossed off the 'to do' list. I will be happy to reach the end. I couldn't do it without Carl's help.
Pam so happy that you enjoy your therapy appointments. It's such a huge help to get helpful advice. Praying all goes well with DH.
I know just what you mean by the authors going into each and every little detail. When that happens I spend more time 'fast forwarding' on my kindle.
Your meal sounded delicious.
Tonight we will have breaded chicken patties on a bun with sweet potato air fries. That's quick and easy to do and after the chores it's about all we CAN do
Waving and wishing all a pleasant happy and OP day.

Hey all,
I will be quick because my wi-fi is very spotty here this morning. I sure hope that I don't have to start going into the office every day because I can't communicate well enough from the hotel. Perish the thought as I don't want to leave the dogs!
Ann, you must have wondered who "Kyle" is helping you with your glasses. LOL I was once again using the voice command and Carl suddenly tranformed into Kyle. Sorry! at any rate Kyle and Carl are great guys!
Pam, I sure get it with the books getting too graphic. I guess there's a big market for it, but sheesh...it's much more fun to leave SOME things to imagination.
I had Turner's network TMC on this morning and they were playing old Lucille Ball movies. She was so beautiful and graceful even in her serious roles which I have really not seen before. k
My wireless mouse conked out on me so I have to take a trip to Staples or somewhere and get a new one. I am lost without it with my work laptop. I also have a flue shot at noon.
I am going to email you all a new photo of the house. We are NEARLY there and the decks are on. A landscaper is coming to day with estimates as the yard is a mess after construction. I can't wait to sit on the decks and look at the water and have wine or coffee.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I am back to about 90% and it feels wonderful! I woke with a slight headache this morning which is gone now thanks to a couple big mugs of coffee.
Ann ~ You are really moving along with your to-do list! The change of seasons does create its own jobs, doesn't it? I also currently weeding out my closet of things that I don't wear. Soon it will be time to fill the back end of my new car and head to the Thrift Shop. You know, I have been more thirsty than usual the past few days but didn't think about the shots doing that. I bet that was it.
Judy ~ I was so excited when I saw your post about the picture of the house, but when I looked I couldn't find it. Hopefully you haven't sent it yet?? Hope you can get your connectivity issue resolved. I agree it would be better for you to work from "home".
Pam ~ Congrats on your DH moving right along with his treatments. It all sounds so promising. Also I applaud you for following up on your therapy appointments. I definitely felt for your hospice patient who had to do without your visit. I have very strong feelings about people who refuse to be vaccinated and then put others at risk. But that's another story and I guess there is nothing we can do about it. I know if I had to go into some sort of nursing care, it would matter to me very much if the people providing it were vaccinated, but I am aware that is a very controversial area??
Anyway, I woke up at the usual time and got right up. I ran out of energy yesterday after school, but fortunately DH came home feeling back to normal and helped me get supper on the table and cleaned up. It was a lazy evening with some TV watching, and DH went out and got us a Dairy Queen which really hit the spot!
This morning I had Greek yogurt & blackberries w/F1 for breakfast. I got out my Instant Pot and cooked a half dozen eggs, which are now stored in the fridge. I have four large chicken breasts in the IP now cooking which will go into Tupperware for suppers this week. I thawed out a pound of XL ground sirloin and gathered the ingredients for a pot of IP spaghetti, which will be tonight's supper (and enough for a couple more meals). I took out a pork loin to thaw to go in the Crock Pot one morning this week and that will provide several meals as well. I think I have caught up on my planning??
I did DH's work laundry yesterday, then did our dark load and folded and put them away while he was gone to the Dairy Queen. I didn't think I'd get caught up this week and I may not get all the cleaning done that I would like to do, but then there's always tomorrow as well. DH put one container of salad from last night (sans dressing) for my lunch and I may end up adding some tuna to it.
I still need to change our bed and throw the sheets in to wash. I would like to dress and head out for a walk. I'm undecided if it's a good idea or not, given how I feel? But I can always start out and then turn around if need be.
BBL. Make a great day!!

LOL Judy I knew who you meant. I did get a chuckle out of it though I hear you on not wanting to leave D&D. Hopefully you can continue to work from home. I don't see what the big deal is, so long as the work is getting done...then again I don't know protocol. I've never seen Lucille Ball in a serious roll...except once when she played a bag lady. Don't remember the name of the flick. Too many years ago. I agree, she was a beautiful woman. Can't wait to feast my eyes on the HOUSE. I bet it's simply beautiful. Sue I was thirsty after both shots and booster. The flu shot this time around was brutal. Never remember it turning so many horrible colors and same with booster. Carl, on the other hand had both in one arm and is fine. Go figure! Happy that DH stepped up to the plate and got supper ready. Carl is good like that as well. In fact, I'd say that we have very attentive spouses! I bet that Dairy Queen really DID hit the spot. I'm not big on ice cream. When I crave it, Carl will go and get me a cone at Mickey D's and that does it for me. Yes the seasons bring on a boatload of extra 'stuff' to do. We are s l o w l y making a dent. It's hard when we have to stop and take Benjamin out to do his thing. This morning he wanted to walk and we did 3 miles!!!! Never walked that long with him before. It's as if he knew that his mom/dad time was limited LOL. Good idea to take a walk and as you said you can always turn back. Well, my chores are calling me. Will TRY to CBL

Judy absolutely beautiful home. Thanks for sharing.
Just found out Mindy my nail tech cancelled all appointments. She tested positive for covid and needs to quarantine for 10 days. She was vaccinated. Please keep her in your prayers.

Sue, I guess you sure have caught up on all your chores! Wow, you and Ann are the go getters this week with fall chores.
I tossed in some laundry. I find it pretty convenient here as it is right down the hall from us. I want to say ahead of it so that it doesn't get to be much more than a load when we need to do it. We did not bring tons of clothing with us - especially DH so he needs his clean stuff regularly. Simple life!
I sent out a few pictures of the house to all of you via email. We are getting excited and know we will have our work cut out moving in and weeding once again through more stuff. I have a feeling lots of antiques will be going to new homes. I hope that the "Ann" bug is contagious. That is one thing I would love to catch- the Queen of Pitching!
I looked around quite a bit for some nice black flats or slip on work appropriate shoes, but had no luck. My bunion is really making one foot bigger than the other by nearly a size, I think. So, my comfy shoes will have to do and even if they are not really dressy with pants, I don't care. I won't be working too much longer. I'm sad that my collection of nice shoes don't feel good anymore! Oh, I did sell a ton of things on Thred UP and they have been sending me good sized checks - more than I thought. It took months due to their backlog but sort of exciting to see the stuff get sold. Some boxes are getting 95% of the items sold. It was so easy!
TTFN - back to work. I just had my flu shot at noon at CVS. So far, so good. I had the senior version. Did all of you do that?

Lol Judy toss away 🤣 I am one and done for today. Showered and jammified. Carl will take Benjamin out for his final jaunt. Tomorrow is another day. Not sure what Carl will get done as he has an eye appointment and they dilate. I will do stuff while he's there.
Sunday has always been a day of rest and Monday will be here before you know it.
Yes Carl and I both got the senior version flu shot. Hope you continue to feel well.

Awesome you sold some items Judy. Wear what is comfy. When my feet hurt my entire body hurts.
So sad that Maurys Deli is closing. Used to LOVE their sandwiches.....

Ann, my co-workers and I are going to go to Maury's one last time next week. Hot pastrami, here I come! I went a couple weeks ago and was sad to see no one in the shop. Their food is SO good. I think even better than Rein's deli in CT.
Thanks for the nice comments about the house. It has been a long process as you all know! We are finally rounding the home stretch.
I had a little nap this afternoon. I didn't sleep great and maybe the flu shot tired me out a bit. I feel fine, though.
I am going to feed D&D and take them out for a stroll soon. Not sure what is ion the menu tonight. I had weird eating today in the hotel. Granola bar and crackers. Not great! I wasn't in the mood

Judy I agree. Nobody can beat Maury hot pastrami. My mouth is drooling. Enjoy.
Must be something in the air as I did a lot of munching today myself.
Glad you got a nap in.

Judy ~ I just saw your query .... and yes, we both had the High Dose flu shot recommended for seniors. We've been getting them for years now (but then we've been seniors for years now ha-ha).
Have a wonderful evening and a restful sleep, all.

Good evening!
We were up and out by 6:00 this morning. DH's procedure was delayed by nearly an hour, but otherwise things went well. He has had quite a bit of bleeding through the dressing, which makes us happy because it indicates good blood flow, necessary for healing. The surgeon said he cleaned up the wound and now the healing can proceed, without the hypergranulated tissue to impede it. DH is SO encouraged and happier than he has been in months. I pray there is healing in his future!!!
I maintained at WI today and will accept it with grace. I have had several wins this week--ignoring all the candy in the grocery checkout aisles. I had yogurt for breakfast, in the car after DH's procedure. Lunch was a boiled egg and two banana=applesauce muffins, a new recipe I tried today and liked very much. 1 SP on purple plan! Dinner was red beans and rice with sausage and a salad. It's Friday, so I indulged in red wine, my favorite treat. But now, with a full tummy and wine, I am ready for bed.
Judy - When I had a large bunion, I found Aravon shoes very comfy. They are not stylish or cheap, but I still wear a pair of sandals I bought way back when.
Sue - The particular facility where my patient lives vaccinated 100% of their patient, but only 80% of staff. They keep having periodic infection, especially since Delta.
Ann - Sorry to hear about your nail tech getting covid. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!
I am literally dozing off as I try to type this, so will close and head to bed.
