Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
What a game last night! Between the actual game and the lightning delay it was a very long evening but so worth it. DB and I were texting a lot. Afterwards I think I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and I slept great all night.
Yesterday afternoon I put down a few more bags of topsoil and I’ll get a few more done today. It looks better already and next year I’ll get the landscaping done.
I’m getting laundry started early today. I have a bag of clothes I’ll drop off at charity bin thus week.
Ruth - I don’t know what tomatillos are. I have 3 different chili recipes that I use, a basic chili, 3 bean veggie chili and white chicken chili. They are all good, but I prefer just a basic chili.
Today I’m getting chicken finger salad from local place. I’ll enjoy it today and tomorrow, it’s a huge salad.
Dottie - hope things continue to move along smoothly and you get a solid date for the move. Your talking about all the boxes and totes that you’ll be moving is definitely a reason that I’ll probably never move into an apartment - where would I store everything that I have?
Coffee is calling… see ya tomorrow

Joyce, I’m sure you were glad to see the Bills won. Bill had the game on for a while but changed channels when the game was delayed due to the weather. We prefer just basic chili also, I have made the white chili but we weren’t a big fan of it.
Ruth, I doubt if we hear from the lawyer today, it is a holiday, Indigenous People Day, but hopefully by tomorrow morning. They put in a blacktop driveway. There are very few concrete driveways here and gravel is hard to deal with when it snows and they use a snow blower. I guess the contract just called for seeding the lawn, the weather is still nice so hopefully it will come in quickly. I just want to find out the closing date.
Martha, hope you had a good weekend. Any special plans for the week?
Yesterday I packed up more pictures in albums. There were at least 18 albums, the boxes are very heavy. I will need to go thru them and weed some out – but that is something to do once we get settled. I have my mammogram (missed last year) and bone density test this afternoon. Other than that it is just some more packing and some cleaning. Cleaning is hard to do because of all of the boxes everywhere, but I can at least do a quick cleaning job.

((HUGS)) Just about to walk out door to get flu shot. Haircut okay. He mainly cleaned up my work. I get chilled easy so didn't want back/neck cut further. Other than my usual stay home for the week, on Saturday, I'll be walking in End Alzheimer's walk. It's at the zoo. Potty training - Db would put pullup on over regular underwear for night time. Tomatillos are green tomatoes with a papery covering. You remove covering and rinse. Ready to use. They do have a tart taste. Hope to bbl. . . if not. . .(((HUGS))) m

Good evening everyone. We took Mara home right after lunch. Helped DS with some yard work. Stan mowed and cut out a bunch of burr plants. Mara got burrs in her tutu and Stan got them in his shoe laces when he was mowing. But he got them cut out and bagged up so it’s all good. I raked leaves. There will be a lot more of them, but we bagged up 6 of those paper lawn bags, so a lot off the ground before it rains on Wednesday morning. The exercise and being out in the fresh air is so good for me. Was careful not to irritate my back at all so it was good.
I got a call today, while in the car, from the pain center. Wasn’t to schedule an appt; but to make sure I was ok with 2 appts. She said I need 4 injections: 2 for each stenosis spot. They do 1 on each side of the spot; but this pain dr. doesn’t do more than 2 shots at one time. Told her that was all news to me since the neurosurgeon hadn’t mentioned how many shots I’d get. Told her 2 appts was fine; but then they can’t schedule until they get the insurance ok to do the shots. As older DD said, “so many hoops to jump thru”! Truth! But I think Medicare should pay for the chiropractic appts and maybe the acupuncture. Insurance shouldn’t be an issue because we have great coverage and this has to be cheaper than surgery. Time will tell.
Joy, so happy one of your teams is winning! How do you think the Sabres will do this season? I can’t wait for hockey season to start this weekend! We watched the Vikings game, but I just don’t care anymore! Martha told you what tomatillos are. We love them. But I use them in a white turkey chili so you probably wouldn’t like that. It’s ground turkey breast that I use.
You & Stan are both putting down black dirt. He’s covering ours with grass seed and hoping, like Dottie, that it will take this fall. Then next spring he’ll have over seeding or something done.
Dottie, praying you get good info. I was so thankful I could move so many of our boxes out to the storage facility so we could get the house ready to show. We didn’t have the option of paying for one before we sold the other; so that worked for us. You are going to be so thrilled when you get moved! And the housing market is still so good from what I’ve heard that your house should sell well.
Waving to Martha. Hope you don’t get snow soon. I’m not ready for winter. Are you a winter or summer fan? I have a friend who actually gets SAD in the summer! She loves winter and skiing and snow!
Ok, I need to go unload and reload the dishwasher. Meant to do it last night and ddin’t get to it. And I still have a little laundry to put away from last night and I have another load to run. I can do that while I watch tv.
Have a good evening all. More tomorrow!
