Phyl that Firehouse Sub sounds really good! We have one here but not had one in a while.
Not sure how Fred is this morning as he’s still asleep. But last night he said he felt great but was not happy when I reminded him he’s pretty much on lockdown until 2 p.m. today as that will be 24 hours since the procedure. I might have him call the heart doctor’s office this morning to ask about the watchman and if they will be contacting the insurance company as the date we had been given is October 25th if the endoscopy showed no problems but it’s not showing up anywhere. Another endoscopy has been scheduled for the 25th and when I asked why is that on the same day as the watchman they said right after putting the watchman in they immediately do the endoscopy to be sure it’s placed right and then do another in 30 days to be sure it’s healing properly. So apparently it’s somewhere in the system. It was interesting when this endoscopy they did was explained to us as they don’t go all the way down the throat just to the back and send out a sonar signal that is able to take pictures of the heart and at the same time take measurements. They explained all the risks and percentages of anything happening. The crew was two doctors, two anesthesiologists and one nurse. They never did say when it was time for me to leave but once they looked like they were ready to start I asked if I should leave and they were all surprised I was still there as they were so concentrated on what they were doing they forgot I was there! Since it was supposed to take 45 minutes to an hour Fred had suggested I go get some lunch but when the nurse was walking me back to the waiting room she said this will only take 20-25 minutes. I was very surprised but thought well I better just stay here and glad I did as in 20 minutes she was back to get me. Everything was done in the room he was brought to when we arrived. But she said when the watchman is done that is actual surgery so will be done on another floor but he will be brought back to them for recovery and will be kept overnight.
No accidents this morning from Bridgette. Can’t say the same for Bailey but that’s just Bailey being Bailey. We can start feeding Bridgette again this morning but Fred wants to start with scrambled eggs. I was surprised to read the eggs are good because of the protein but never to give them peanut butter when sick due to the fat content. That’s my go to in getting medicine down when they won’t take it. But thank goodness she acts like these tablets are the best treat ever!

Got involved with trying to find info for a cousin on an ancestor. No luck. Light rain now. High 76. 66 right now. Guess I had better dress and get my self moving. What for? Seems more like a recliner day. I did get a real good night's sleep after 3 bad nights.
Have a great day all. I will hop back in later.

Hi!
Yesterday, I was "out" for the day. I had to take an allergy [ill and I never can stay awake after I take it. But yesterday our atmospheric pressure was very high, and when added to the pollen and pollution in the sir, I was in a bad way.
Today it's raining! Hooray! I can breathe much better today! This is why I love the rain -- I can breathe!
Saw the doctor early -- A1C -- 5.9! He is quite pleased. Of course, I am, too. He says it's just my allergies. No infection. That is good. We foundout last night that our DS and DGD3 both tested COVID positive. Neither is very sick at all, but they were vac'd.
Then we brought breakfast home from our favorite cafe and that was nice. So we did get our pecan waffle.
I plan to make a pork stew for dinner this evening, and hope it will be good. I love one-dish meals, since I work on them in stages. They simmer away all day, and are ready to serve when we're hungry.
Now, I need to walk a while.
Hugs! Diane

Today is shopping day again...ugh! -- It leaves me in such pain when I'm done. I don't notice it when I am in the store but when I get home I am finished. Will have Bobbie give Shana her antibiotic today since I'm not very good at it. I managed it last night but so much easier with Bobbie doing it.
Heading now to get dressed....only 3 hrs. sleep again since Jim woke me for pain pills for the nerve pain and I couldn't get back to sleep.....another ugh...LOL.
See you all later for tuck in.

Happy rainy Wednesday from mid-MO!
The twin DGDs will be 13 tomorrow. Unbelievable! They were so much fun when they were babies -- I had such a good time. Now I'm just old Gran who doesn't know anything. I'll probably be gone by the time they realize I actually do have some answers they would be interested in.
I've searched all morning for a company to clean the appliances and other items out of the rental house and storage buildings on the farm; Guy says he doesn't want to have to touch it, and I don't either. Looking for a company that is insured, and can come in and clean it out. Period. I'm afraid to open the refrigerator or look too closely at the bathroom. If I posted photos of the rooms, you might actually cry. Granny had made it such a showplace with its huge front yard (once an orchard and bee hives), large open porch (wicker furniture), big front window and flower gardens. The fireplace is sandstone.
Diane, I'm so glad you can breathe easier today! When I needed refrigerator space over the weekend, I dumped the last of the starter. I may have some in the freezer, but I don't think so. If I decide to make sourdough, I'll have to start all over again.
Phyl, how far are you from Rochester, MN? Hope you have a good day, including the quilt shop!
Lucy, even though we don't do anything to throw our backs out -- they just go, don't they. Glad you had a good night's sleep last night!
Kathie, I hope the antibiotic can help Shana's rash. Have you heard any more from that awful vet that did the surgery?
Sandy, thank you for sharing information about Fred's experiences. By your posts, it looks like he's getting the very best of care. Such a relief for you and for him! Good to know about the peanut butter thing, too. Perhaps Bridgette was worried about Fred's procedure and is okay now.
Well, I'd better get a move on. It's almost 12:30 now. Guy took a friend out for lunch, but he will be back shortly. I have trash companies to call. Hope each of you is having a lovely day today! ~~Mollyann

Well my Booster shot for Covid is tomorrow and I have 2 papers with 2 different times, just a 15minutes difference so will go by the email I got from pharmacy this morning. No sense calling as everything is done on web site and that is the same one I got on the email. Also getting my regular flu shot at same time.
I did get nails done yesterday. Just a darker orange, they didn't have a burnt orange like I was thinking but that is fine, also got black tips and this young girl is really fast and very good. another two steps for the tips and I am a happy camper with no extra charge for the tips. there was a female in there, will not call her a lady as she was loud and obnoxious., she was getting verigated shades of orange on nails with black glitter tips , ring finger black with white spider web, and a ghost on the thumb nails. I didn't see the end result but the total was $65 . this is a shop run by two new young people and I am amazed at their prices. I always tip well. and happy with both of them, very talented but I don't do all that decoration myself. Getting used to my black tips. Will I do that again, probably not. But fun.
I had a couple errands one to get gas in car. New pumps but working fine. the credit card side is still same and cash sales pay inside before pumping. I have their credit card and get 25cents off gallon. Only use it for gas in car.
Mailed my packages at post office and was pleasantly surprised at the postage on the envelope. I would have put way too many stamps on it if I had done myself. Had a magnet picture of my and the newest Great GrandSon. sending to my very good friend in Florida. She asked for an up to date picture of me and this one turned out okay. At least I am not frowning or looking so very serious like I usually am. Wish I could flash that big smile like my model DGDs do. But honestly it always looks dumb on me. LOL
Glad to read the news on Jenny so glad she did not have to come home to be by herself. she needs to get her strength back. Sounds like she does not have to worry about her dogs which I am sure she does anyway.
Looks like we may get some rain today, clouding up fast. 69° and breeze is chilly and gusty at times.
Looks like you and I were posting at same time, Molly. Hope you can find someone. Seems like it is hard to find someone around here to do stuff like that.

My laundry is done, folded, hung up, and put away. It's been raining most of the day with a few thunder storms. Not much going on here.

Molly: The attorney just received a letter back from the agency that handles the doctor's licenses. I don't understand the legal jargon but it looks like they are researching past complaints against him. I would just absolutely LOVE to see him lose his license....even more than getting the money back that I spent. The vet said as Shana gets older he will want to check her remaining kidney probably annually to make sure it isn't having any problems since she doesn't have a back up. I do love her vet! And, Shana just loves him to pieces. He comes into the examining room and sits on the floor and she is all over him --- every time.
Shopping took a lot out of me today, as usual and Jim has been in bed most of the day. Bobbie has been struggling with a hurt foot. She finally went to the doctor this afternoon and the xray tech wasn't there so she has to go back tomorrow for xrays. She fell down the steps at her mobilehome and it is black and blue and swollen.
Tucking you all in now in our BLANKETS WHICH ARE BROWN WITH A HUGE SMILING PUMPKIN IN THE MIDDLE.....sweet dreams!
