Phyl, thanks for the start. Kathie, thanks for our tuck in.
High 80 and maybe a pop up shower. We got rain yesterday and last night. We needed it bad.
Fred had his procedure yesterday. I hope Sandy updates us sometime today.
We haven't heard from Sue in a while have we? I think she is the only one who hasn't popped in in a while. I miss Jenny. I will be glad when she can be back.
Well, I fried liver and onions this morning. They are cooling now. I like to eat cold liver. Bill doesn't care for liver so I fix it and put it in the fridge just for me.
Not much else going on here today. I will go to the bank after awhile and on out to Bill's for lunch. He is not feeling well so it will be pot pies. He is alternating heat and ice on his back. My back is doing pretty normal after my bout with it.
Have a great day all.

Hello, friends!
Lucy, Sandy told us about Fred's procedure in a post yesterday. At least, I read it somewhere . . . . It went well, and they are planning to do the watchman procedure. Hope Bill feels better as the day goes on.
Kathie, interesting that they are now looking into past complaints for that veterinarian! How many animals have to suffer before he gets his license taken away? Jeeze!
Diane, your kids who have tested positive recently, right? So glad they have had their vaccinations! Are these called "break-through" cases? I don't quite understand that term, because the reports have been, from the beginning, that the vaccine wouldn't prevent the virus, but would limit its effect on us.
Connie, I love the idea of the black fingernail tips for Halloween! The young woman who did my nails on Tuesday told me about a client who had asked for three artistic drawings on each nail (yep, all ten). The tech was sick afterward from doing the close-up detail work, and there was no extra charge. She said what she made wasn't near enough for the time and work she put into those ten nails. In addition, the client was a soccer player and had a game the next day. The tech was sure her work was gone during the game. (The tech who moved away charged $28 for a fill with a free buff & polish three weeks later. A full set of tips was $38. At Florida Nails, it was much higher -- and I was paying more before that place as well.)
The sun is playing hide-and-seek today. We haven't had any activity at the hummingbird feeder for about a week. I guess they have decided to move on south. Leaves are turning yellow and falling in the backyard. This green summer has been such a wonderful blessed time for me.
Today is DGDs 2 & 3's birthday. They have the day off school tomorrow (teacher's work day) and DD is taking the day off as well, so we'll probably have a birthday lunch with them then.
The grocery list is getting pretty long. Guess I'd better go shopping. Maybe I'll find a pick-up time. It's time to be thinking about Christmas, too. We've given money the past few years, but I'd really like to find something special for each person this year.
Time to do . . . something. See you later! ~~Mollyann

Molly: I think your hummers all came here. I filled the feeders at 6PM last night and we are down over 3 cups already at 10 this morning. I have 3 hummer feeders - one holds 3 cups...and my tenant has one too now which she filled last night and it is 1/2 full this morning. She uses the red stuff you buy in the store. I make my own with 1 cup water and 1/4 cup sugar.
Bobbie not here yet after 10 am.....She is usually here at 9:30 ish so I'm worried about her. I have texted her but so far no answer.
Jim was up and down all night so my sleep was verrrry broken. It adds up to 5 hrs. but so broken up.
See you all later for tuck in.

Yes the Pa hummers have been gone for a couple of weeks now, too. Kathie, I just make my own food too. They were pretty hungry before they left too. Have a long way to go. Yellow finch have started changing to the funny shade of green from the bright yellow. Not as many as I usually have but then had to move the feeder with the maple tree gone. Hoping when we get some cold weather they will find the feeder again.
these are my own nails so lot more reasonable. I let them grow long for awhile so I could do the tips. the gel polish makes them strong so they don't break off or chip and split either. I do like them. All fancy things on nails even if fake or real are extra charge, and that is only right. It takes a longer period of time and a talented tech. The gel polish with glitter right in it are no extra charge. The girl the other day had acrylic's . which are fake nails. I like to watch them put them on. Lot more time.
I got the pfizer booster today and the strong flu shot as well. the Flu shot stung a bit but just for a second. I was the only one there for the shots. And paper work took longer than the getting the shot and I had the paper work done ahead of time. But still more to be done and had to wait in the consultation room for a bit for the pharmacist She said it is busy just spread out which is better as the pharmacy is a small one. Works for me.!! Glad that is done. I did stop at our local candy store for a card for Jenny and then some candy for the box to N Carolina. Going to mail it next week as temps are to be cooler. along with the other things for Charlie. just some cooler weather clothes and a light weight wind breaker for her. ( just short sleeves instead of sleeveless for now) Not birthday or anything like that . that comes next month.
Hope Bobbie found out something about her foot. It sure sounded painful.

My memory is not kicking in.
I don't have my nails done. I like them plain. They grow fast and it seems I just trimmed them and they need it again.
Bill's back was better. We played 3 hands of rumicub. I won 2.

Heart doctor’s office just called and Watchman is a go and they already got Humana approval, which was really fast! So it will be October 25 at 7:30 a.m. have to be at hospital at 5:30 a.m. and not sure how long it takes. He will probably be kept overnight after it’s over.

And here I am! I'm not reading every day but go back every few days to catch up.
You are all in my thoughts. I hope Jenny is getting better and will be back. I was surprised to see so many friends from before when I vanished for a few years. That wasn't intentional - we didn't have a WiFi hookup at the senior living.
Moving back home seven? Years ago was sure the right thing to do! It's silly to have a a house this size with two people plus the 1.5 acre lot, but it's working, plus I have the dogs who love the space outside! If I were in town, I would have to give up several. Today's count is six. Yesterday I had to have one euthanized, so I'm feeling a bit down. She had advanced cancer, a diagnosis which I hadn't expected.
hb is not doing well, and I'm working on getting hospice set up. He will qualify based on weight loss.
Life is complicated. I'll be back when I have an opportunity.

Kathie, did you hear more about Bobbie? So glad the birds have moved to your yard! I use the 4:1 mixture for the humming birds too.
Sandy, good news from the doctors! Amazing what doctors can do these days!
Lucy, nice that Bill felt well enough to enjoy losing to you at Rumicub!
I've never had strong fingernails, so I'm delighted that I can buy them! I'm hoping that using the dip powder along with gel polish will let them grow out stronger. Lucy and Connie are fortunate to have strong nails.
Sue, it's so good to hear from you again. You must have found us when you returned to your home from the senior housing. Will hospice come to your home? I'm sure different companies have different rules, but I've really only heard good things from caregivers after hospice nurses begin helping them. Is the young woman who you employed (after the young man left) still working with you?
Connie, I agree about the charges for speciality nail decor. I mentioned to the tech that they should have a charge sheet for something like that. She said she just knew she wasn't going to do it like that again -- and the client would have to schedule time for artwork. Hope you are doing well with your shots. I had a headache, but didn't know if it was the shot or tension.
I'm missing Diane today. Hope she's okay. Marlene, too. Maybe others. My forgetter is working overtime. Hugs to all! ~~Mollyann

Bobbie's foot is in a boot and she is using crutches but she still plans to come tomorrow to bathe Jim. She swears she will figure it out. She was NOT xrayed today. The xray tech quit his job so she has to go to a different place tomorrow for xrays. I don't know how she would walk Shana on crutches tho' so I'm figuring that will be my job tomorrow. I did it today and now I am soooo sore but oh well. Jim still asleep so he'll probably be up all night again.
Tucking you all in now in our BLANKETS WHICH ARE BROWN WITH A HUGE SMILING PUMPKIN IN THE MIDDLE.....sweet dreams!
