Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning all. Still on my iPad and I should be dressed and doing some chores. It’s cool here this morning at 47 and windy and very overcast. Not a nice day out there. I may have to put on a jacket when we go run errands later.
I went to a holiday boutique yesterday in the afternoon. Was kind of frustrating because out of the dozen people inside (workers and customers) and I was the only one in a mask! We are still wearing ours because even when kids are vaccinated, Mara is too young yet. And we are protecting ourselves. We are old and scared!! MN #’s are trending way too high. It’s scary! I did find a dozen small gifts for people. And a couple things for me. May hit another boutique today too. Hoping it’s not very busy. I’d love to find some fall placemats or a table runner for my dining room table. Saw some runners (beautifully quilted) but they were $39.99! I may change my mind and go look at them again. Just not sure if I need it or not.
I never did get downstairs or upstairs yesterday. Last night I spent about 2-1/2 hours chatting on the phone with a friend I made on one of the WW threads. She’s on a couple on here too apparently. And she knows Joy. We caught up and it was wonderful to actually hear her voice and connect.
Just checking in. Hope to hear good news from Dottie. Waving to Joy & Martha. Will check in later!
Joyce, how is work going for you today? Are you doing okay with the additional hours?
Ruth, so sorry to hear about your friend, so sad for his family. While Bill and I were still working we tried to get away for a vacation every winter, to get a break from the cold weather, so I think going to Hawaii during January would be great for you. Nice that you were able to find some Christmas gifts. The fall runner sounds pretty and I’m sure would look good in your dining room.
Martha, hope you had a good day and enjoyed your lasagna. HUGS to you.
We might hear something from the realtor today if the inspection goes okay but nothing yet. Of course the inspector might find something else, fingers crossed. It’s the time of the year when all of the charitable agencies send requests for donations. We get 5 or 6 a week and at least one of them include return address labels. When cleaning up my desk I pitched a bunch of labels and since then I have received at least 3 more sets of labels. I don't send many things by mail so I don't use many labels.
((hugs)) Raining. Perfect dinner for the weather - soup & grilled cheese sandwiches. Clean clothes spread out on bed. I'll be pulling out summer clothes to store & getting warmer clothes out to wear. Lasagna was good. Had 3 buckets of leftovers for DH lunches. ((hugs)) Wishing all a good day! m
