What are some of your health goals? How sustainable are they?

My health goals in general are to eat well, maintain my goal weight, do things that help my depression/anxiety, and exercise to improve the quality of my aging. I do okay on my eating, struggle a bit with staying at goal, do meditation for my anxiety sometimes, and have real difficulty getting in exercise even though I know how important it is. It's like I have this goal dream life in my mind but I have trouble living up to my dream.

I need to focus on the four pillars of WW which are: * FOOD To maintain my weight at goal. I have to continue to do my posted goals here each week to maintain at goal. To eat well planned healthy whole foods with little processed food. I just need to make sure I continue to plan and eat healthy and not fall into old habits of unplanned eating. * EXERCISE Get more exercise. This is hard right now, not sure if I can do this but need to continue to try. * MINDSET. I need to keep going to virtual workshops to stay anchored. * SLEEP I am getting more sleep but not sure I can do seven hours a night all the time.

* Track every BLT on ITB - 100% sustainable unless we lose electricity/internet and then there is paper and pen * Hydrate: 100% sustainable * Think positive: mostly 100% sustainable unless something huge pops up and then will talk myself around * OP eating: 100% sustainable * Get to goal weight: this is doable but may take time as my body seems to be stuck at a setpoint/on a plateau. It will happen or not and I will accept it rather than fretting about it * The exercise thing...still seem to be in contemplation phase and so far it is not moving forward as I envision it but it will/won't happen when it happens * To see if I can drop one of the blood pressure medications entirely...working on that...will see how it goes. Down to 1/4 of the tablet twice a day so it might be possible and then sustainable with the weight loss.

My goal is to maintain my current status quo for as long as I can. I have to keep an eye on cholesterol, GI stuff and the usual aches and pains of aging.
As far as sustainability, only time will tell. I'm doing my best.
I'd also like to get these darn allergies under control. Took my first Zertec this AM, so far so good. Supposed to last 24 hours.

I agree with mac , posting of the WW anchors. I usually get enough exercise and sleep and this year has been a pretty good one for mindset, but it’s taken me time, a good year, to process grief. Periods of sabotaging thoughts still deter me from my food pillar, and I continue to try and be better at this. I’ve had a year of weight loss, though, so I’m moving in the right direction. Food and alcohol accountability continues to be my primary focus and for me it takes constant vigilance. I’m going away for the weekend with my book club and I’m already preplanning what I can and can’t indulge in. Sleep, exercise, mindset: can be improved a bit, 80-90% sustainable to date. Need to stop tv binge watching past our desired 10:30 pm lights out. Food/Weight: I’ve tracked since my Nov.1 start date of monthly weight loss (again) and I’ve had 7 months with weight loss and 1 plateau and 4 months of weight small gain, a couple of pounds, namely in Dec, July, August, & Sept. so for this reason I’m owning 75% sustainable with room for improvement. Clearly summer was my period of sabotaging thoughts. bbbearsmom , I think you do better than just okay w food. I’m hugely impressed with your effort and also with seeing your recent commitment to exercise. lani , cathygeha , always like reading about your maintenance success. Been shoring up strategies with with Beck blog: cares.beckinstitute.org/blog/systematize-before-optimize/

My health goals are to maintain my weight and keep my blood pressure in the “normal” range. I’ve been on meds for 25 years. After my heart valve replacement they were able to reduce my BP meds. Currently, my readings are the lowest they’ve ever been with or without meds. lizlor, thanks for the blog. That was me until a few short months ago.
