Thanks for the start, Chele. The difference in the lasagna had to be that homegrown produce. Those old family recipes are always the best. I hope you didn't have any ill effects from the Chianti. The eggie soup should be good. I probably won't try it until tomorrow because I still have some of last week's soup to eat today. LOL on Iggy and the Bengals. Sounds like my uncle. Even at 80 years old, I know he is still screaming at the TV during WVU or Steelers games. That's incredible about Iggy's Rx's. Sometimes it amazes me they are still in business because it seems to be the same way everywhere with CVS. Is your weather cool enough that Mr. Lemon has made his way indoors?
Kathy, interesting on your credit card being mis-delivered. I don't know if USPS took it to the wrong place or it just randomly got sent back. We hope there isn't anything else of consequence that should have been delivered but wasn't. I wonder if YouTube offers local channels. Might be worth checking out. I read something that the estimate was that it could take a month to resolve the lost channels. The sticking point is apparently that Dish thinks the parent company of the networks is trying to get a cheap deal and then is going to sell the company and they will be stuck honoring what they consider a bargain price long term with a different company. The situation at the UT football game is still all over the news. Apparently there were a lot of beer cans thrown onto the field, so they may be re-evaluating alcohol sales at the stadium. They have already made arrests, so that was pretty quick. The student section was apparently involved. I saw the play and it was definitely a bad call. But that kind of behavior is unacceptable. Someone also pelted Lane Kiffin with a golf ball as he was leaving the field at the end of the game. A couple of weeks ago they had a drunk in his 40s assault a couple of students leaving the game. There have been other incidents as well.
How's your allergy drip today, Linda? You were busy yesterday, despite how you felt. I haven't been to Tuesday Morning in almost 2 years. That used to be one of my favorite places to shop.
Liz, how was the weekend? How are the pups? Is Gary getting any more settled into retirement (and being more helpful)?
Hope things are going well, Becky and Denise.
We had an unusual visitor on the lake this morning. It seems to be a double-crested cormorant, which is unusual to have this far east. He's been fun to watch and right now he's hanging out on a log in the middle of the lake that the herons usually use. I finished the usual Monday cleaning and have MG meeting tonight. The board did a survey to see if there was interest doing an in-person Christmas event this year. Over half the active members responded and about 2/3 of them say they plan to attend. So we may be stuck doing it even though several of the board members don't feel comfortable.

Our woodpeckers are back and the pair of towhees and more hummers. There were lots of grackles near the Mexican restaurant Thursday…they tend to be grounded spring and fall coming and going.
Dsil in NY gets all the local channels through YouTube.they dumped cable. We just dumped dish because we only had international and they dropped most of the stuff DH watches.
Odd weather…off and on sunny and lots of wind yesterday mainly 80s. Wind brought more stuff. Sniffle, cough, sneeze. My knees and ankles said weather change.usually October is all sun and warmer. Last year a disgusting 102, so this is a lot better.I seem to have one energetic day, then next, not. Today looks like good day to read and work the puzzle I started yesterday after dropping a whole suv trunk of stuff at Good Will.
It sure is nice to see organized closet and know what fits. Nice too to wear stuff again that was getting too tight that five pounds ago. Stick in same place now, but have indulged a little.

Karen, I hope they can get the dispute over NBC resolved quickly, but that doesn't sound too promising. I think Comcast gave up on getting a decent deal on the ACC Network until they renegotiate their ESPN contract in 2022. It seems like banning alcohol at the UT games would make sense given all of the incidents. I'm surprised they sell beer in cans there. I've been to concerts where all the liquids had to be served in a cup including water. Bottles and cans are too convenient for projectiles I guess. The cormorants are fun to watch. We also have anhinga birds here which look very similar to the cormorants.
Nice day here with temps about 10 degrees cooler than they have been. We'll only make it into the 80s today. Hope everyone has a good one.

Beautiful fall day here. Quieter day. Got the stuff to Good Will and a pile of hangers to recycle at cleaners and toner cartridges recycled at staples. finished my puzzle, one load laundry, walked Micki and made soup.

Did you know wood peckers store nuts for winter? The acorns ripen in the tree.
