We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

Brrrr...it's a crisp 27 degrees out. Feels like forever since we've had Sunshine & warm weather. I need SUNSHINE! Even 2 nice days in a row would be nice.
Very interested to see what the end of this week ends up looking like politically.
Think HEALTHY đ

Linda, come on down! I've got sunshine and it's supposed to be a beautiful day with a high of 79*. We'd have a great time together. I'm also anxious to see how this week ends with Tweety's tax proposal and everything else that is going on. So Ivanka is off speaking in Berlin about women's empowerment. It's kind of easy to feel empowered when you were born into wealth and power the way Ivanka was. Now the test is to see if she really does anything useful to the world with it, or if she just basks in her own self-glory the way her father does. Does she really have the character to stand up for what is right, or is she like her dad and all talk but no real action? So far, there's been a lot of talk about her and a lot of talk by her in some circles, but I haven't seen a single thing she's actually done that is worthwhile. I had hoped she would be a buffer to try and talk Tweety down off some of these ridiculous ledges he gets himself out onto, but so far that has not been the case. From what we can view through the media, so far she and Jared both just look like takers out only for themselves. I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. I'd like to be wrong about her.

"So far, there's been a lot of talk about her"
Like Samantha Bee said, "If you really wanted a woman in the WH you could have put one in there!"

Guess the women in Germany don't have any more faith in Ivanka's commitment to empowering women than we do.

UGH....It's snowing...đĄ....looks like some perennials took a hit from last nights cold temps.
Ivanka got some loud critical reactions from the audience to her speech today. As well she should. She couldn't even explain if she is working for her Dad, her business or the American people. She said its all new & she is trying to figure it all out! Seriously, what's to figure out? You can't line your pockets & expand your personal business at the expense of the taxpayers of the US. She's just a prettier version of her Dad but seems to have the same empty head when it comes to putting America first vs your own businesses should you be given the privilege to be in the White House. Ya, really hard to figure that one out! đĄ

Snow! Linda, that's hard to imagine for me. Brr!
I thought the same thing when I read that comment she made about still trying to figure it all out when asked who she was actually working for. Duh!! She may be serving at the pleasure of the president, but anyone who draws a government salary whether they donate it to charity or put it in the bank is working for the American people. That she doesn't know that simple fact just goes to show you how totally clueless they all are about the role of the President, the President's team, and the Oval Office. It's not all about Daddy anymore, and it is not about the Trump brand. Unbelievable!

Tweety just can't seem to win when it comes to federal judges. LOL!!! Get ready for another Twitter tirade. They dissed Ivanka in Germany and now this. He'll be going bananas.

LOL...my first thought too, was Twitter Tirade ...I say go for it, it brings out the worst of the worst in him & shows what he really is. Of course his still hanging on supporters just point fingers & blame "Libs" for all Tweety's & his friends at FOX transgressions & mistakes... I'm sure he will fire off some tweets about Ivanka getting booed in Germany as well.

Of course, Linda. Didn't you know that the whole thing with sexual harassment at Fox is an evil plot conspiracy by liberals? Same ones who are plotting a conspiracy about Tweety by recognizing his totally erratic tweets.

Guess the women in Germany don't have any more faith in Ivanka's commitment to empowering women than we do. Did you see where she said that she has definitely heard the criticism of her father by the media? Um, honey turn off Fox and tune in to practically any other non conservative media outlet and you will see it is not just the media but THE AMERICAN PEOPLE that are critical of him.
I was just watching a piece on CNN where they interviewed people that voted for Trump. There was a married couple (farmers) on there and the guy said he pays $88 / mo for health insurance for BOTH of them. Then his wife said she feels guilty and thinks they should have to pay more because some people have to because they didn't qualify for subsidies. Well sugar, your wish will soon become true because you are about to pay out the nose for your health insurance thanks to your choice for President!

The media generally doesn't have to say or write a thing about Tweety's problems. He says things & tweets things in his own words & the media just reports what he himself is saying. He's his own worst enemy. So this blaming the media & fake news stuff that the Trump family would like everyone to believe is just laughable! The whole family just takes entitlement to a whole new level. That German audience wasn't fooled one bit by Ivanka. They know!

Yes he did, and felt he deserved it for not getting a social disease while being a 3x draft dodger.
So now the creep has 2?

Trying to validate that they have common sense, and then they go on to prove that common sense totally eludes them. What a bunch of screw ball losers!
Who said the past 100 days feels like dog years?
