This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning CATs. I'm slinking back this morning with renewed resolve. I'm planning on getting a BD today for the first time in a while, and yes I'm ready for a May challenge too. It's going to be a true challenge since I'll be at one beach or another every weekend of the month, and with this coming weekend that will make 5 in a row! But, it's all good and I'm determined to get back in some summer clothes.
Yesterday I had my first screening colonoscopy - such fun! That was next to last in my line of spring Dr visits, and fortunately so far so good. Only the dermatologist remains. Whew, maintenance takes a lot of work. And more maintenance with a cut/color tonight. I'm ready for the weekend!
Must run for now since I have major reporting deadlines looming Friday and I have hardly a minute to spare. Wishing everyone a great Wednesday!

Martha: If you need scrubs, Walmart sells them for $5.98 per piece. I know this b/c I purchased some for DD there as a birthday gift. She's enthralled with grey anatomy!
CAW: Those pounds will fall off. You are going to have a super weigh in, I just know it. It's not luck that the scale is moving for me. I have literally sweat off every ounce, combined with staying within point range. Many times I want to give up, and I push through. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
I am so glad there are rumblings of a second Blue Dot Challenge. Which reminds me of my favorite quote of all time: "Hope smiles from the threshold of years to come, whispering, It will be happier" Alfred Lord Tennyson. We can do it!
Susan, I think the key to long term success is the balance of things. So, be tight during the week, and loosen up on the weekends when it matters to have that second glass of wine.
I have some bills to pay with my non existent funds. I'll try and check in later. I'm doing my power walk outside today with a friend, so that will be great.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!
Two different starts had me confused - thanks for clearing that up, Frieda!
Colleen, I agree with Frieda. The pounds will definitely fall off. You've done this before - you know what to do!!
Susan! Yes, maintenance is a lot of time and I hate doing. I'm glad to hear you are back on track and eyeballing those summer clothes!
Martha, I'm sure you'll do well with the test. Fingers crossed!
Frieda, I totally believe in balance. I always get squirrelly when I lock down too much. You've just gotta be careful. You have totally sweated every ounce. And you will win!
Nothing new in my world, really. DS brought home a stellar progress report yesterday - all As. Chatted briefly with my attorney, who is putting together all of our ammo. Including: written proof that his spelling and communication is horrible, on FB, he agrees that DS is doing well and is very proud (so, essentially, ADMITTING that nothing needs to be changed), and the fact that XH created a FB page for DS, despite that fact that he is underage. Jerk.
Alrighty, I'm finally getting my hair cut today and cannot wait. Part of me wants to do something slightly different, but most of me is afraid. I have no idea what to do. I'll keep y'all posted. Have a great day, ladies!!!

Hello CATs, Each day is getting a little bit easier so I know my mind and body are recovering. I spent some good exercise hours working in the yard yesterday and again for a bit this morning followed by gym with Bev. At least the yard is looking a bit perkier. Went to the gym this morning and had a really lame workout but it too will get better. I'm living in a two story house with only one air conditioner and it's getting a little uncomfortable as the outside temps rise. We should have new one installed tomorrow. Whew!
I don't know what to say about conference except that everything ran really smoothly. There was lots of positive energy. The troublemaker did not show up--too much effort for his lazy bones, I'm sure. It's easy to throw threats but less easy to show up and face the music. FYI, Chelsea Clinton does not have the charisma of her father.
Colleen, good job on getting back into workout mode. We have OTF on every corner it seems. It would probably be less expensive than my trainer--wonder if I would use it? Martha, good luck with all your testing. Frieda, too little, too late from JA. Is he sincerely trying to make nice? Or is it just a show for the attorneys? MCat, I have no doubt that your DS is in a better place with you. I'm sure it's abundantly clear to all involved what a tool EH is. Susan, maybe you can adhere to Kate's two-out-of-three rule for your weekends at the beach. That along with tracking and exercise during the week might help to put the numbers in reverse. Come on!!!!--you've got this. Choose one thing that you can manage on those challenging days.
I'm sweating in my office so I'm going back downstairs where it is a little cooler. Come on Thursday!

Back from errands and shopping. Meet up with Stister was a bust, she was home sick. Went to Goodwill and found 5 each of scrub tops & bottoms. Most were 6.99. I didn't think about Walmart for the scrubs. Will keep that in mind for when I need more. Never had colonoscopy. Am sure that will be on the doctor's list of to do's. Need to schedule first derm appt. Have a mole that is giving me some concern. DH home and thinks he wants dinner. Hmm, wonder why? Quick and easy supper tonight - Soup and sandwich. Hugs~ m
