Happy Day All! YIPPEE on the negative COVID test, BettyJ! Great news!
DH has blood work appointment at 10 and we're going by the outlet mall near there to get him some walking shoes. He left his in FL (even though I asked him if he was taking those shoes back)! He's really worn those out and needs new anyway.
Achy this morning - probably from working in the yard yesterday. Just shows I need to do that more often. Will be glad when my morning pills kick in!
Still warm (55) here this morning, but will start getting cold again tomorrow night after the rain.
Helen - congrats on the "new" grandson. Kudos to your kids! Is there going to be a party?
Not much to say this morning. My brain hasn't kicked in yet so is not wandering over weird thoughts. Have a good day! Cheers!

Good morning Penny& ATF,
Partly sunny and 43 currently. The high will be 59. Tomorrow is expected to be 70....wow! Can't wait!
My car is all fixed and the cost was not too bad. - $125.00, the purge valve had to be replaced. Now I'll take it to inspection today.
Tomorrow I hope to visit my boys even though it will only be after school for an hour or two. I also need to grocery shop for Thanksgiving especially to make my casserole. DSIS is making her key lime pie and a cheese cake pie to bring.
Have a great day!

Good morning everyone
Had a scary and awful night. Chills started in the afternoon. Came and went. I didnât feel good so I went to bed around 4. Didnât sleep. I watched tv. The chills and shaking continued off and on. Went to sleep around 10. I woke up at 1am with extreme chills and my whole body shaking. Went to the bathroom and had the dizzy and fainting feeling but didnât faint. I was not in pain other than my shot area. We googled vaccine chills and shaking and saw on many reputable sites itâs a normal reaction. I was able to stop it when moving my lower arms and my legs up an down. It seems my circulation was poor and made me feel cold on the inside of my body. Extra blankets did not stop chills and shaking. I fell asleep when the shaking and chills stopped. It was about 2 hours before I was able to get it to stop.
Right now I feel weak but ok. Hubby made toast and I am drinking Gatorade to replenish electorates. No chills or shaking now. Wow.

Morning All!
Boy do I have the sneezes this morning! Not sick sneezes, the allergy type â the kind that can catch you unaware and make accidents happen if you know what I meanâŠ..The yard is full of leaves, itâs been windy here and all that leaf mold is making its presence knownâŠ.
Betty so glad the Covid test turned out negative and wonât get in the way of your plans and of course that you are well and not ready to come down with something crummy⊠One less thing to worry about.
Yesterday was kind of weird. I had my ESL group in the morning and only two students showed up. My picture idea didnât not bring the normal amount of responses I get, so I will go back to question format next week. We talked about all sorts of stuff yesterday was kind of hard to get people to speak â maybe it was me â just couldnât get the enthusiasm in the voice.
After class I decided I needed to get out, so I went to the hardware store and found the replacement fluorescent bulbs I needed for the lamp over my desk. I think itâs called a piano light and itâs pretty old. Last year I looked on line to find a replacement for it and there havenât been able to find one. I guess I will use it until they get rid of fluorescent light bulbs â are they on the list for extinction? After my success in scoring the light bulbs, I drove to my local nursery, looking for a mini jade plant to fill in the larger one I have. They were making evergreen grave blankets â kind of a shock to my internal calendar â I guess you guys are right on track with your decorating after allâŠ. Found a mini jade plant and will introduce him to his big brother today. Later on in the day, my beginner student cancelled â so no surprises there.
Emily glad the car repair wasnât too expensive. Whether you think it or not, those boys, no matter how old they become, need contact with their grandma, some of the best childhood memories I have are with my grandma and the special one on one time. No one else made me feel so special.
Helen glad the adoption went through without a hitch and the little one is officially part of the family. Time to get those grandma clothes on â Im sure you will be a great one!
Marilyn sorry to hear about your reaction. I only had some after shot #1. Hopefully they will be short-lived and you'll feel better soon.
Lin, love the mouse!
Iâve got Frank Sinatra on Alexa and he is belting out his best. I tried asking for Andy Williams songs this morning and all I got were Christmas songs. I guess that will be all he will forever be known for.
Everyone enjoy the day!

Mar, I am so sorry you went through that, must have been very scary. Hope you feel more like your self today. Betty hooray!! negative result. I somehow was pretty sure it would be, glad I was right!!!
It is warmer today but funny how 62° really feels warm in the spring but in fall not so much,. No sun and really overcast and looks like rain. I did get the peonies and brown eyed susans picked up from when I but them all down,. The frost did a good job and they were very wilted and easier to get in the big lawn bag. I do see a lot of people putting a bag or two beside the dumpster for pick up so will do that with just one. Hope they take it. Sometimes seems to depend on the truck driver. They do have to get out and put the dumpster on the lifter thing. don't have the newer type trucks yet. The arm comes out and does the work, driver does not have to get out of truck. Bet they would like that to happen soon.
Covered the AC today also, and brought hose in garage. Later one when it gets really cold will take it to basement. but may need it yet. I brought in 2 solar lights that were not working anymore. they are cheapy ones as Pa does not have lot of sun in these seasons. the one by the mail box was still working last night but will bring it is when the big snow falls start. It gets covered up. I have some Snow men spinners coming any day now and will use them for a little while.
Helen, I too, want to congratulate you on the new member in the family. How neat!!
Emily, I still spent lot of time with my Grandkids even as they got older. We made cookies at holidays which became a tradition for all 5 of them. Took them to parks in summer when they were off from school for grade school I was chauffer when sport practices were going on, Mom and Dad were working, also when they got their driver's permit they needed a lot of hours and they drove my car as often as they good, have to have adult and again Mom and Dad were both working. They always told me I had more patience with them doing that. the big Church parking lot near me was great for backing up, parking and turning around. (now they are driving me around when I need them.) Two of them live in the area. Thank goodness. I usually just need them at night or in winter with bad roads. I showed up at all sporting events, proms etc to take pictures, shopping for gowns and tux. I wish I would be around to do that with Greats but we can't live forever. I sincerely hope you get to do some of that stuff now that they are getting older. Such good ages.
I have Ace of Base on my CD player. I do sing along.

I feel so much better. Slept most of the day. Just now took a shower. Itâs been 48 hours since vaccine and according to the nurse symptoms should be pretty much gone at this point. Soooo I think it might be over. Shot area barely hurts.
Helen- congratulations on adopted baby.
Betty- yay negative result. Glad dd came home.

We just got back after the official adoption. It was the neatest thing I have ever seen. Our kids have taken care of this two year old guy since he was a few months old. So it was getting if official, But there was a small hitch. The bio dad's much older wife was trying to get custody of our little guy even though they have never seen him since birth and contributed a penny to his care. So after the judge got past that part it was beautiful. The most heart rending was after all the official questions, the judge asked our little guy if he would like to come up to the bench and help her see his papers. To all our surprise, he trotted up to the judge's chair and she took him on her lap and she showed him his papers, Then she gave him one of them and told him to bring it back to his now legal parents, which he eagerly did, running so cute like a two year old does.
He is our number 13.
We are all so happy. Our party was eating out at Runza's, a favorite fast food place in Nebraska
