Kathy, I went back and watched Blink last night. Today I am going to watch last year's season finale about the timeless child. And, for the rest of you, no we haven't lost our minds--at least any more than usual. You might be right about the higher end hair dryers being the ones in short supply. But, if yours is old, I would be tempted to replace just in case. I have a small one I used to take to water aerobics so I do have a back up. It takes about 3X as long to dry my hair, but it works.
How are the sinuses doing today, Chele? Do you have warm weather like we do? It's up to 74 here and the sun is shining. We'll probably have dinner on the screened porch tonight. Won't last long though. Rain is bringing in a cold front tomorrow. Is Iggy planning to put up any outdoor decorations this year?
Linda, how long before your entire neighborhood is aglow with Christmas lights for your evening walks with Micki? Is Friday your museum day now?
How's the week going so far, Liz? Is Zoe improving?
I found a webinar replay this morning about cancer and immune disorders in pets. Since we don't know what is up with Arya's leg and we had the problems we did with Phoebe, I decided to listen in. They talked a bit about environmental toxins and, other than wifi, I think we're doing about as well there as we can. Kind of confusing on food though. One holistic vet said raw food meat-based with lots of organ meats is the way to go, while another indicated that pets' systems have evolved through the generations like humans have and some meat is needed, but fruits, veggies, etc. were perfectly acceptable and things didn't have to be raw. That's pretty much what we've been doing, so I guess I'll stick with it. This vegan is probably not going to handle raw meat. One thing they agreed on is that dogs don't synthesize Vitamin D the way we do and they need to get it from their diets. Supplementation is helpful, but it also comes from free range grass fed animals, so hopefully Arya is getting it that way. I spent about an hour outside this afternoon putting down cardboard and covering it with mulch to hopefully smother the Johnson grass that grows so prolifically here. So I have synthesized my Vitamin D for the day, which is a good thing because there won't be any tomorrow.

Good Afternoon Chicks, thanks for the start and Happy Hump day to all. Linda - I hope you find things to smile about today as well. Love your postings and quotes. Did Bob get his glasses ordered? The tree you posted looks lovely. The city is pretty much back to being obnoxious only more so in so many ways. I am immensely tired of the complete lack of civility from the vast majority of people as I commute and even in the stores. Too often I feel like the Charlie Brown/Snoopy picture of them in bed where he says, I'm not getting out of bed today Snoopy, it's too peopley! Thank you for the wishes for my DSIL's hubby; he truly has been through the wringer and she humbles me as his caretaker wife warrior! Karen - specialty vet appointment made for December 8th with my name on the cancellation call list just in case. I still need to reschedule my colonoscopy and my knee get shots within the next few weeks. Not surprised at all that the MG group would want you to stay as the president; you're the bomb! Hope that the banquet is enjoyable and goes very well. I get to speak with the nutritionist tomorrow about the modified fodmap program she has had me on. It has been helpful in a number of ways and I am now reading labels more closely. Not losing any weight that I can say but at least my system seems happier. Zoe's belly is not happy and she has diarrhea and the squirts. Gary said her belly was gurgling and she had 2 accidents in the house today. She wouldn't eat her breakfast this morning and when I checked in with Gary, he said she wouldn't even eat treats this afternoon . Might be the roasted turkey we fed her but not really sure at this point. Chele - it's good to know I'm not the only one with a DH who isn't so hot in the caretaker department with animals. Glad the tabby managed to leave the birdies alone after your efforts. We are a bit warmer today but I think the rain is supposed to heading our way come tomorrow. I brought down my Thanksgiving donation bag this afternoon for our community food drive at the hospital. I was the only one in my department who participated. Not really surprised but just a bit disappointed . Baked any new breads lately? How are the sinuses doing? Kathy - I hope DN also finally passes his test. He's a good young man and would make a terrific doctor or PA or NP. I just truly want him to be happy and comfortable. DS has been cooking away prepping for Thanksgiving already; she's an organizer to say the least! I ordered the pies online from our local bakery which is terrific and have been buying the goodies as I do my grocery shopping. How dare those wascally lawn people wake you early on Monday! Waving to Becky and Dennise; need to get going and fight the forces of evil once more. Ciao for now dear ladies~

Karen, I have a travel hair dryer, so I can use that as a backup. I may look at getting one though, just in case. They really do have the t-shirts with the line from Blink about the angels: t-shirt. Liz, hoping for the best for Zoe and hope you can get her into the vet sooner. Lol on the wascally lawn people! I didn't have the greatest night's sleep that night and definitely woke up cranky. That would be great for your DN to become a doctor or PA or NP. I know that's a tough field and we need all the good people we can get. Hope the forces of evil leave you alone! Linda, our courts have been stacked for many years by our GOP governors, so DeSantis tends to get favorable rulings unless it moves higher than the state. The latest insanity is our state legislature is drafting a bill to abolish the city of Key West. They're not happy with them for their cruise ship regulations. Chele, looks like it will just be me and DM for Thanksgiving which is fine with me. DS is getting some unexpected company from her DH's side and his kids are coming with their kids. It will be a pretty big crowd. Hope the allergies aren't getting to you today.

Karen, thanks for the start. If anyone has done more to keep their pet cancer free, itās you. We got up to 66Ā° today and I have been sneezing but otherwise sinuses good. We havenāt put up outdoor lights in many years and we never did more than pit lights on the bushes. Neither of us is steady on a ladder. I caught up on 9-1-1 and, yes, Chimney did take the baby into a bar.
Liz, I am glad your favorite bakery is still in business. We used to get pies from the kitchen section of the butchers, but they donāt have enough people and decided to keep the salads rather than the baked goods. Speaking of baked goods, I havenāt experimented lately. I am happy to hear your digestive system is functioning better. Too bad Zoeās is not. Poor thing. I am so grateful not to have to drive in rush hour any more, but ecstatic I donāt have to ride the subway. Elbows out, ladies. The fellas like to get too close.
Kathy, I donāt envy your DS cooking for the whole family. Entertaining a crowd isnāt my thing. Iāve tried a few times and all I could think is āWhen are these people leaving.ā š Like my house to myself. Will share food but not space. I also have a travel hair dryer I could use as back up. My curling iron is old. I might need to invest in a new one.
Linda, I like your 4 ft tree. Are you setting it on the ground or on a table? What adventures did you have today? Our state reps are getting ready to pass a concealed carry law that calls for no license or training. I will have to keep Iggyās temper in check while driving, so we donāt get shot.
Iggy had his 6 month cardio check and all is well. I had my 6 month glaucoma check and everything okay there as well. We made a quick stop at Aldi and the post office on the way home and brought home some bean burritos from Taco š for lunch. I am hoping to get to Kroger for Thanksgiving meal shopping tomorrow.

The tree is on the tile by the front door outside. It lights up nicely.
Right now I work Fridays, but it may change.
the state of Florida abolishing a city over vaccine? Crazy crazy nuts nuts. History book chapters should read like satire thirty years from now.
My old vet was very opposed to raw meat food for dogsā¦too many infections from it.
Lizā¦I feel so bad for you on those commutes. And poor Zoeā¦poor you.
We are finally cool in Tempe..49 at dawn and 66 in master bath! I finally broke down and turned on heat to 70 for morning. It was high 70s by afternoon.
Good report from GP this morning. Since I lost 7 pounds my blood pressure is down and I can quit the tiny dose of HCT (Diuretic) I can't take in sweaty times anyway and half my losartan.
Stopped at target for replacement net lights as half of one burned out, and got a long extension cord to put one net light on a good-sized shrub out back. The solar lights don't get as much light with sun shift and shorter day and the power pack for the old wired lights died. This will be cheery light. Pruned that bush and set it up.
My Questers meeting was a trip to Chandler City museum this afternoon. By noon I realized I cannot wear my favorite soft leather, tied Clarks for very long..feet got longer. My toes really hurt. That means I have no real shoes except a pair of sneakers and my sandals. Wore sandals. There was a lot of standing still and listeningā¦knees got mad! Needless to say, sitting down tonight with Tylenol.
After the museum, I went next door to NY deli and brought home Reubens.
