The Mind🌷Body🌷Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us.
Let's get started! We'll post:

Hello! April showers bring May flowers!!!!!!!!! We've had a nice long stretch of continuous rain, and several days ahead with rain in the forecast. Luckily, it's going to break for the day right about when I am leading a tour of the College Urban Ag gardens, greenhouse and garden lab. Then to lunch, and the second leg of the field trip to Lilacia Park to see the lilacs and bulbs in their glory. Every once in a while, like this year, the lilacs and all the bulbs are in bloom simultaneously, and it is specatacular! Can't wait to see it. They forecast some sun this afternoon, who hoooo!
affirmation - I force life balance into my schedule, it's a good thing! health goal - enjoy some fun time! fitness goal - walk 2 mi later to a friends home to assess her garden and give her consult on garden 'to do's gratitude - 5 new clients yesterday... it's bittersweet!

Good Afternoon, Dear Ones!🌸🍃
Lisa - I had to look up Lilacia Park to see where it was...Illinois, right? I'm in a suburb of Rochester NY, home of Highland Park, which is world famous for its lilac collection! Our Lilac Festival starts May 12. I'm going to the park tomorrow to see the early blooms...not many lilacs open yet but lots of azaleas and flowering trees and bulbs. I think the magnolias are just starting to open. It's a really pretty park, designed by Olmsted and lovingly maintained these days. I love our parks..and I'm so grateful that the previous generations set aside land and made it beautiful for us to enjoy now.
P.S. That virtual walking tour is part of the "challenges" section of the Fitbit app on my phone. There are several trails of various # of steps in length, and if you sign up for one, as you accumulate steps, the app shows you where you'd be on the map. When you reach key points on each trail you get to see actual photos. I saw some nice waterfalls on the last one 😉
Daily Affirmation - Every action counts
Fitness report - hiked, slowly, 3 miles at the nature preserve
Health Goal - track before I eat....sigh...
Gratitude - for beautiful parks & trails nearby!
Be well! Carol
