The winter holidays are upon us . There's no reason why we can't enjoy the seasonal treats -within reason! So let's just aim to maintain and enjoy the festivities! WELCOME EVERYONE anytime and yes you can walk/jog/run or combo, cycle, spin, swim, aerobic classes, elliptical machine, yoga, Pilates, strength train and core work too! Each week you set and post your own attainable mileage/minutes goal and strive to achieve it. Saturday through Friday is our fitness week with Saturday morning weigh-ins(WI). WIs are encouraged but optional. There is no judgement here. This challenge runs Thanksgiving thru New Year's day. Sun- journal it since I am being honest I am at 226 but yesterday it was 228 so I am good with it! Jim and I went to Altoona yesterday to do some Christmas shopping. He bought me a bracelet at Boscovs. We were really looking at them for the other women and girls in our family and then he handed me one! We usually just go to the casino for our present so this was unexpected!

LOL I already see that Wednesday is not going to work out for me lol. We almost certainly will go out after work since we are off Thursday and Friday. I dont see me drinking a pepsi at the bar, do you? I have done it before though but not ready to at the moment.

Hey Brenda, just off the couch is good! How are you?
So, I went to the gym this morning. I am determined to go Mon through Friday, alternating between lifting weights and cardio with rowing 15 minutes and stretching every visit. Today was weights, rowing and stretching.
Oh dear! So I visited with some friends Friday night and the sister of one of the women took pictures of the rest of us together and texted them to each of us. I was totally horrified! I know I'm grossly overweight but those photos really brought it home to me, I truly didn't recognize me. I'm so embarrassed! I'm trying to be upbeat and tell myself that at least I'm going to the gym and doing something. As I sat that rowing away I had to remind myself that at least being overweight is a health problem that I can actually DO something about. So I need to not feel sorry for myself and just keep plugging away at the gym and at eating healthily.

Deb I have so many before photos that you would think I would stick to healthy eating.
I refuse to have photos taken with my grandkids and that is really a shame

I am starting to eat over tomorrow. Went food shopping with Russ and Scott. We will go next Wednesday. io bought 8 6 cups lite cinnamon apple sauce. And I am eating high fiber 8 packets. Then I will be able to supplement with applesauce. It will be 1500 calories. The oatmeal is high fiber. my brother I hope will call tomorrow. I asked Scott to get me grapes instead of Chinese food for Christmas. I really have gained alto and want to control what I eat. My new case person for January is really nice. I think I will change the agency because the worker who won't get boosted has not been replaced by anyone. Scott said he would clean the kitchen tomorrow. I bough t 8 applesauce and I have enough oatmeal to last 8 days. We won 16 in Powerball by guessing the powerbalol x 4 that bought the ice cream cake for Christmas dinnerr downstairs. We bought tv dinner each. and some ice cream But I really want to start ov er. I put my MRI for April 1 instead of January 4. may physical is the 31 of January. I got my part d donewiht the help of the state. They will send me a card. My case manger at my Community support program pbbrings me medication. the pharmacy they use doesn't want the card number for the new part D till January. I wrote down the id number however. Scott has the same id. I am going back to WW January 7 with a friend from this apartment complex. I really want to lose weight.

Amy I am surprised that they did not send someone who has been totally vaccinated. But then I dont know what the policies are here at our hospitals either.

Good morning! I have SO much to do!
Mo, your post about not being in photos with your grandkids made me so sad and really hit home. You know your grandkids don't care how much you weigh and would probably want those memories caught in pictures. Which probably applies to me too -except my kids, don't have grandkids. So we really need to do better especially as excess weight is the one health problem that we can do somehting about.
Amy, I'm with you, I really want to lose weight too. Let's make the coming year our year! I am surprised a healthcare worker and the agency they work for isn't more conscientious about being up to date with vaccines. I think you're making the right decision.
WHY are we so harsh with ourselves? I don't judge any of you, and I doubt you all are judging me and thinking less of me because of my weight. We need to get the weight off but we also need to be kind with ourselves -we're worth it!

Actually it isnt my grandkids I worry about with pics. I know how I feel when I look at me in pics. You would think that would be enough to make me stick to a plan
