This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Dear Tall People: Allow me to introduce myself. I am a long-time WeWa-er who has fallen off the rails, off the wagon, off track, off the trail, and into a slump. I barely know what day it is, let alone how many points I've shoved into me. But you seem vaguely familiar, like people I've met in a book, and I was wondering if I could join in.
Enough of my silliness. I could not believe I'd missed a week of chat with the best of women. Our ten-year audit was completed on Wednesday, and we were thrilled to get very lovely immediate feedback. We are also in the throes of about ten very different year end/reenrollment tasks, any two or three of which would be ENOUGH. And we are surrounded by teenagers who are resemble Natgeo footage of wild critters' mating rituals.
Gosh, Colleen, I had exactly the same thought about missing our spring get-together, but if I'd thrown out the welcome mat months ago for planning, I would have been in tears when the time arrived, too tired adn busy for having fun. I won't get my Sister Anne Serious Recovery Moment until Memorial Day weekend. And then, boy howdy, am I going to recover!
Gosh, some great numbers are hitting the board, via Andrea and Frieda! I must not give up and give in to my slump, seeing you two really get results. MCat, hooray for DS's thrivingly good progress report. Shari, I will send up prayers for DD's internship and ask that you do the same for DS; he's got something in mind that is uniquely right for him if all the parts can come together. Martha, I am so pleased for you that you are doing well in your program. You radiate kindness that is such a healing presence to those you will be caring for. Shari, we want to know all the scoop about the move as it unfolds, from tears to cheers. Susan, I envy your beach weekend line up.
Today is about self-care. There will be naps. Maybe a run for veggies and plants. Maybe some laundry. I need to test out a new novel for the munchkins before it goes on the reading list. A power-walking video would be a good interlude. Rain is expected.

It's raining and cold here. I took DD3 on a guided nature tour in one of our local parks. She's a good egg, but I could tell she wanted to leave the second we got there (mostly older people). Anyhow, it's a good day for chicken tortilla soup, which is on the menu. I need to get on the old TM before the day gets away from me. Doing slow flow yoga class late this afternoon. I've never done that, so we shall see.
The Blue Dot reports are trickling in. Get me your info so I can recap it. If you are doing it for May, we start NOW. All I need is starting weights. You can text me that. or post here. Whatever works.
Looking at the month numbers, I was SLOOOW. May is my month to work the program seriously. I have that round table meeting with all parties involved at the end of the month and I want to be confident, and feel good about myself at that meeting. I don't want to be self conscious in anyway.
I don't have much news here. I'll check back in later.

I want some of that TX heat. We are finally having normal weather temps. In the low to mid 60's. And without the lovey rain. We have had 3 months in a row with record breaking amounts.
WI this morning has me up .4#. Just looked to see what wt was before class started (4/8 - 192) vs today (190.2) Down 1.2#. Not too shabby with minimal exercise.
Number of Blue Dots for this past week are - 2.
My class room portion is completed with the final exam (141 questions) on Monday. My chapter exam score avg is 90%. All exams have a 80% as the lowest acceptable.
DM has been moved to a new hospital/facility. She wants to get stronger and was going to start exercising this weekend. She wants to either head to DSis or back to Spokane. I'm thinking it will be to DSis. She can't be by herself.
I will be in studying mode for most of the weekend. Will throw in some self care, mani/pedi, hopefully.
HUGS~ m
