You may have noticed that when people like your post or quote your post, you are seeing a number next to your profile and/or getting an email. What you may not realize is that you have complete control over your notifications.
You CAN edit which notifications you receive under profile > edit profile > notifications and uncheck the options on the first column you don't want to be notified about. (Example, if the one about people liking your posts is getting overwhelming you can just uncheck that box and leave the ones for quoting and tagging notifications.)
You can also personalize the email settings at the same time.
