Good morning everyone
Nice relaxing morning. Cloudy today.
Hubby and I discussed the trampoline purchase. He said to not worry about the size and order one. He suggested leaving it on the patio and if I want to use it inside he will bring it in for me. Itās not super heavy and probably can do it myself but nice to know he will do it. On good weather days doing it on patio would be nice.
Still researching which one to get. I did find out getting one with bungee cords attaching to frame instead of springs is better for seniors. They have them in a rectangular instead of round size. That would be easier to bring inside through sliding glass door.
Today will do some laundry and clean bathrooms.
Phyl- nice to read you are moving around more. Glad hip is healing well.

Worked in basement finally!! All Christmas stuff wrapped, organized and put away neatly. I also dug out the Valentine flag, the St Patrick's Day one and the American flag. I have a couple other winter flags but will leave the LET IT SNOW one up for now. My neighbor has her Valentine one hung out now but she has to do it when her nephew comes to do somethings for her.
My DSIL brought me some Ice Melt in case I need it later this weekend, I had some in the bucket and we filled it and also another bucket. I use the old kitty litter ones that have locking lid. works great for stuff like this. I use the little garden tool to put some in a small bucket and sprinkle where I need it. I think that bucket had ice cream in it for one of our birthday parties. I grabbed it up before someone put it in garbage. It really comes in handy. he had other errands so didn't stay and after that I did head to basement!! waiting on call from pharmacy so took the cell phone down with me, I don't usually do that and the kids have said to take it with me anytime I go down the basement steps. I keep forgetting. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
Sun is back out and still getting winter storm warnings on phone. Sky is really blue this afternoon and not a cloud that I can see. It is cold out there though 18Ā° steadily going down.
I am going to make some cinnamon muffins sometime this afternoon. But for now going out to get paper and mail.

Evening all!
Gosh I am a bit late today. Spent a good deal of the morning responding to more long overdue correspondence. Boy when I do go off the grid, I donāt fool aroundā¦ Some of the letters that required my attention were dated back in November. Iāve never been that lax in responding to people I care about ever before. Shows what a mental funk can do to a personā¦. The fact that I am back on track and corresponding again is a good sign.
Lin, although the recipe sounds really good, Iām afraid Iām with the rest of the crew in looking for the simplicity in life. Cooking is your thing though, so I am not surprised by the amount of ingredients or steps in preparation. That doesnāt mean that we donāt enjoy reading about your culinary adventures ā just doesnāt mean we would want to jump in and join youā¦.Clean up is definitely a deterrent.
Phyl glad to hear you are doing a bit better. Wishing you quick healing so that you will be back and ready when springtime rolls around.
Hoping all in Winter storm Izzy's way a warm and safe weekend.
Wishing all a pleasant evening. Will be back tomorrow.

Just finished walking a mile in the house. Took 30 minutes. Round and round I go. Lol. Washing machine and dryer are going as I type this.
I also love reading Linās recipes. I donāt have many spices in the house. I look through the ingredients and see if they agree with me. The chicken spaghetti was so good but took me a long time to get it into the oven. Next time will be faster now that I know what to do. The Pioneer woman has a chicken enchilada recipe I want to try next week.
Read a few magazines today on Libby app. Itās a free service from the local library. So many magazines to read for free. Love it.
Connie- thatās great you got the basement organized and Christmas decorating put away.
Dayle- good job getting caught up on correspondence. Is it actual hand written letters or emails? Mine are emails or texts.

Tonight's new recipe to try with side of last night's very good veggies..
I made the filling (easy) yesterday and skipped making doughā¦used Pillsbury ready made. So it was in the over in five minutes. Bold type is the only part I did
WILD MUSHROOM GALETTE
SERVES: 4-6
INGREDIENTS 12 tablespoons of cold Kerrygold Salted Butter 1 Ā½ cups all-purpose flour Ā¼ cup ice cold water 1 tablespoon olive oil Ā½ large onion, peeled and thinly sliced 16 ounces wild mushrooms, sliced 2 teaspoons minced garlic 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme, plus extra for garnish Salt and pepper 1 egg 3 ounces Kerrygold Swiss
Instructions: Cube 10 tablespoons of Kerrygold Salted Butter and place in bowl of food processor. Add flour and pulse until mixture resembles small grains. Turn processor on and slowly pour in water. Process until dough comes together and forms a large ball. Remove dough from bowl and place on a lightly floured surface. Shape into a 5-inch disc and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Warm oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute until almost translucent. Stir in mushrooms and remaining two tablespoons of Kerrygold Salted Butter and cook until mushrooms have softened and released most of their juices. Stir in garlic and thyme and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and season to taste with salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 400Ā°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment. Lightly flour your work surface. Remove dough from refrigerator and roll into a large 12-inch circle. Transfer dough to prepared pan. Evenly spread mushroom filling on dough, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges. Fold edges over filling, pleating the dough as needed. Whisk egg with 1 tablespoon water. Brush dough edges with egg wash. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove galette from oven, sprinkle with Kerrygold Swiss Cheese and bake for another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh thyme. Cut into wedges and serve warm. Recipe by Garnish with Lemon
