Good Sunday morning all and welcome to our thread. We are a small group who like to chat daily and share our comings and goings, our likes and dislikes, with each other. Please join us whenever you can or feel the urge to join in.
My church isn’t meeting in person right now because of Covid and the variants. I really miss it! I will watch a service on the Internet this morning, but it isn’t the same as going out to worship. I could look for a church which is open for worship, but I don’t want that either. Mine is hoping to be open the first Sunday of February. I’m crossing my fingers and will wait until then. What are the rest of you doing? Are you shopping today, or have other plans? I’ll BBL to read and/or chat.

Good morning Mary and the rest of our friends. I'm just about ready for Church. DH is getting ready. Only shopping we will do is at HV since we will be there and besides I think the only place I might find some Ginger. A Spice I use often. I'm still having problem w/this monitor. My guy said none w/him. I will recheck connections after I attempt to pull down the screen more. He has it up. Harder for me to read. I seem to still be catching up around here. So many little things but still takes time. I love the buttons on the back of my collar of of turtle neck. I'm sure no one has as many sweaters as I do. Ha,ha. I'm wearing a white one and my red/black plaid over it to Church. Helps me keep warm. Well try anyhow. I think we will be getting some more nasty weather.
Enjoy this day~~~ Marm~~

Good Morning everyone. Thanks for the start Mary. I like your opening paragraph.
I'm going to share with you this bit of unimportant info. Today is National Nothing Day & that is exactly what I'm doing. So glad there is a day to celebrate what I do so often!! I really think I'll be able to NOT go anywhere too.
Hope you get the rights pills at CVS today Phyl. In-competent people or places irritate me. At Kohl's the other day I was talking to the people behind me, & said I wonder whose brilliant idea it was to have just one long checkout line & only two checkers. Then I was nasty & said whoever they are, they should be fired!
I watched church online. I liked the presentation better livestreamed then when Pastor did it on Zoom. Covid has made all of us experience new ways in how we worship. Some can do it better than me, for sure. It was only 4 degrees when I got up, so it was extra nice to not HAVE to go "out" to worship.
Have a good "nothing day". That will likely be difficult for Marm! Stay warm & be safe.
A blessed Sunday to all.

I just finished watching a local church service on YouTube. I watched it before and like the pastor and the service he led, but I don’t really want to leave my old church which is called Sunrise United Fellowship now, and more informal now (but not meeting now because of Covid). I’ll have to do some thinking……..
This was going to be a “nothing” day for me, too, Marlene. But, DD just phoned to see if I wanted to go out for lunch with them. So, it will be a do nothing day as far as doing anything household I guess.
Phyl, I hope you get the pills that you want, and that you continue to be able to do more with less pain! Nice that you got a bargain on that fabric. Take care…the sun will shine brightly for you again!
Marm, are you getting caught up today as you said, or are you going to celebrate the “nothing” day with us? That might be hard for you as Marlene said. Ha!
I just remembered that I volunteered to make an angel food cake today for the monthly birthday/anniversary party here tomorrow. I will have to do that when I get home from lunch…..so goes my plan to do nothing. I better send this now as they will soon be coming for me for lunch out.

Mary, that's how most of my Nothing days go. Something comes up & everything changes. As the old saying goes "the best laid plans of mice & men" or "the road to heaven is paved with good intentions".
Cheryl called me. She got the vaccine yesterday & is sick today- headache, chills, no appetite. That seemed awfully soon to me to get it, but Don looked online at three different medical sites & they all said it was OK to get it right away after having Covid. I pray she won't be sick very long - she's paid her dues already. I wonder if the natural immunity she has now, is fighting the vaccine & making her sick, but what do I know? Once again, prayers please.

HI, YEP WENT TO TARGET,GOT MY PROBOTIC,ANOTHER NEW GUY.he went and asked somebody about it,DON said" it has to be kept cool." he said I KNOW,I am new here and had to find out what refridator it was in".I think this guy will be ok.when he got it,he asked is this the right one? there is hope.there were only two people ahead of me, far cry from yesterday.
then we went to olive garden again, didn't feel like fast food. then kohl's and home.
Have you ever noticed calendars some years can be wrong,or they don't have certain dates on them at all. none of the calendars in this house say anything about national freedom day this is ok. but yet the pocket calendar in my purse says it as February 1.NOT DOUBTING YOU MARLENE I know you researched it out.just find it funny,
a few years ago we were sent a calendar by VFW and I WAS TRYING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, I WAS arguring with the girl when the 16 or 19th was.finally walked over to the kitchen calendar and they were right. that whole month on the VFW was wrong.so is it the printer's or THE person who is suppose to check the dates out mistake.I FIND IT FUNNY.
ASH WEDNESDAY stats March 2nd and EASTER IS APRIL 17TH. Maybe we WILL have a nice warmer EASTER..I know some EASTERS been later and cold or snowstorms,we never know.I like EASTER when it is later.. phyl

Phyl, I really didn't research anything - just happen to see across it. But I mentioned National Nothing Day not National Freedom Day. I never heard of Nat'l Freedom day either.

Did laundry and making homemade alfredo sauce for the first time -- my son loves it. I made him banana muffins last week with butter and chocolate chips. I think I'm an enabler, LOL -- except he is 6' 3" and 145 pounds so he can eat all that stuff...
I was out of everything today but had free delivery with Instacart for some reason so I ordered a ton of food from Aldi's. LOVE Aldi's!
Have a wonderful day. Avoid bad weather!

Schragae, I always enjoy and find your comments and description of your Jewish calendar and events interesting, as you posted in another thread recently. As a Christian there is much I don’t know about your religion. Thank you! Those muffins you made sound good and your DS that tall can surely handle eating them!

Thanks again Mary, for taking over. It just feels good not jumping in on it yet. I know what you mean about the church. We had so few in church this morning. Scares me to think one day while we are still here going to a new Church. Love our church friends and if that happened I'm sure would go in different directions. Well you might have that cake baked already. Now how can you keep from testing? Tsk,tsk.
Phyl, Oh my, I'm so happy so far here Target is good about having more check-outs if we need them. Laughed about your DH and meds and of the Robotics. Your a quilter for sure when buying Fabric when no idea what for just guessing. Like me when Sewing. So much fun looking and buying. Hope everything turned out ok. I hope your right that we will have nice weather Easter. Never noticed wrong dates on Calendars before.
Marlene, Well ya know you could have let me know sooner. I would have let the wash go. And starting to check out my Jewelry. On this Nothing day. Ha.ha. But I sure didn't do much else of anything done. Oh my. that does sound ah little fast to me on C getting the Vacc. already. Sending prayers.
Shragae, Way to go making that Sauce. Yes I'm sure the muffins and sauce won't harm DS at all. We love Aldi's to. We have another new store right by WM. I think WM might find out people might go there for a lot of things instead of them. YES!
Get those Zzzzzzzzzzzz's...Marm~~
