Hi! I'm newish and looking for support/motivation to get me started on the road to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. A little history: I started keto/Atkins in 2019 and had lost 50 lbs. was still losing steadily until the pandemic hit and the craziness of the world along with my teenager got the best of me. I started gaining weight back mid 2021. I've concluded doing keto isn't sustainable for me right now. I feel like such a failure and I haven't been able to snap out of it. I have over 100 lbs. to lose. I did well with Weight Watchers over 14 years ago and I incorporated a bit of low carb back then with South Beach Plan so I know this works, at least the 2006 plan with flex points did lol I'm disabled due to degenerative back disease, fibro, RA and my health is just getting worse. I have multiple severe food allergies to chicken, all fish, almonds, avocado, wheat, to name a few and the list goes on. I had signed up for WW around September 2021 but couldn't grasp the new plan(s). I would like to keep doing the old plan. I just found my 2006 food journal last night with some of the things I would eat back then. I have the WW Points+ info as well, the old plan book and slider are in storage somewhere I'm just not sure where to begin or which plan to start. I do feel most comfortable with the old plan . Any advice, tips, support are very appreciated. Thank you!

Sirloin is the leanest beef, you might be able to incorporate that into your plan. Turkey allergy? Or all poultry? mapleleaffarms has really good duck products. IMO figure out what foods you can eat then maybe look at the AIP plan then transition into Paleo options for recipes, then reduce the added fats to make it more WW friendly?

time4me hello and welcome to the boards!!! Have you heard about the app Healthi? We have lots of posts about it here. It used to be called iTrackBites and you can actually do the old WW program you were doing in 2006 on it (for free). If that interests you just go to the General Forum and put iTrackBites or Healthi in the search bar at the top right corner. It has the calculator on there and a tracker too!! In fact I'll bump some threads with some links in them for you 😉

DotRen,, Thank you! I can't eat any poultry. At this point I'm ok with beef and pork and egg yolk no whites. I think if I could find deer meat I'd be ok with that. I love steak so sirloin is a BIG yes. So really the only issue may be the amount of fats I've gotten used to? I'm not eating bread, pasta or sugars. I mean, I have caved with thin crust pizza or crackers which have wheat and it messes with me bad when I do it. I'd never heard of the AIP but it sounds like it would be very helpful!
