@beckyw2016 Love your new picture!
Hard to believe the variety of weather we have. Blizzards up north and it's expected to get to 80 degrees today here in Houston! Just shows how large our great country is!

Good morning everyone.
Yesterday was a tough day since we went to my brother's house for dinner and his wife passed away a few weeks ago. She loved Christmas so being there with all the decorations that she had put up was so sad. And seeing my brother and nieces broke my heart. I ended up eating carbs and sugar all day - the only veggie I ate was carrots cooked with butter and brown sugar. Oh well, I had a light breakfast and am drinking water today.
I hope you all have a good, relaxing, on-plan day!

100gone So sorry for your sad day. This time of year and loss makes it so much more difficult to bear. We haven't spoken to my DH's niece today but I'm sure the day was hard without their mom there. Counting blessings here with being able to spend the holidays visiting with grand children . I hear you all with the "sugar rush"...ugh! It can easily become a habit! There are still cookies in my house but I'm going to try to ration myself to only a few and only the ones I really like. Yesterday I had a chocolate chip cookies at DiL's that was definitely NOT worth the points!! I'm weighing in each morning and seeing the scale inch up a bit (still within the range but just barely!)...so better start noshing on carrot sticks and drinking more water! Temptations be gone!!!! Did manage to drag myself to the pool this morning and lo and behold I was alone!! Usually the class is anywhere between 8 and 20 people! So the instructor (a sub) gave me a 'personal trainer-type' lesson!! She also teaches water-pilates so it was a great session! Way to burn off those cookies!! An hour with water zumba and 30 track walk... I missed moving!!

I'm trying to decide which was the more disruptive of yesterday's fare, the excess sugar or the salt bomb. Gosh it doesn't take much - I flipped like a flounder on a hot dock all night. Water and time, water and time....... Congrats to all of you that got right back to it, especially those with workouts wow. ksbruns what a great pic to share - beautiful mantle borntexan nice new avatar linda72 Rogue One sure was a big draw yesterday. Love hearing your weather since my brother's out there (((100)))

doordie50 Pam, love your new picture! Yes, I'm dealing with the sugar/salt bomb today. Drinking lots of water and eating OP for the rest of this year. The "Rogue One" movie was great, esp. if you're a Star Wars fan. My DGS(7) was in heaven! It was a great time and the movie was packed so I know it's a popular movie this holiday season. Nice that there are fun movies for kids to see. DGS and DGD saw "Sing" just before Christmas and loved that too.
